The Langham hotel is a great hotel to stay in terms of value, location and service. Rooms are clean and classy. The reception is located on level 43 and deposit per room is CNY1,000. We had some issues with checking in as "Booking.com" didn't inform the correct room type to the hotel and we were not given the 2 x double bed which we had paid for. Hence the Langham hotel staff (Lily) was very helpful and provided us with 1 King bed and a fold away bed.
The hotel's buffet breakfast is really good value with the selection of fresh juice, coffee, tea, Asian and Western food. Breakfast is CNY100 for adult if you inform the reception a day before else it's CNY198 on the day. Cost for child is around CNY96.
There are many local shopping and food within walking distance (under 10 mins walk) near the hotel. We will definitely return to this hotel if we visit again.

Overall, we had an excellent stay at The Langham in Haikou. My partner and I stayed for 5 nights total. All of the food at their restaurants were excellent, and the staff was very kind, welcoming, and helpful.

The location of the hotel is great if you want to explore the city. Right across the street from the hotel, there is a large park that is nice to walk through. There is also a lot of shopping within walking distance of the hotel. The Mixc mall is less than a 5 min walk from the hotel, and includes many restaurants, a grocery store which is convenient, and high-end luxury fashion stores such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc.

The rooms were clean and the amenities at the hotel were nice. We stayed in the Deluxe king ocean view room, which gave us a great view of the city and water. Our room did not have a patio, but there are some rooms that do.

We utilized their English afternoon tea time and ordered 2 different teas with a wide array of tea cakes and snacks. They also offer a large buffet for both breakfast and dinner. We also ate traditional Hainanese and Catonese cusine at Tang court, which was delicious. Other amenities include a spa, a steam room, and a sauna room (note: the steam room and sauna room are gendered so men and women cannot use them together). The infinity pool overlooking the city is also sweet. There is not a hot tub, but the weather is hot so you don’t really need one. My partner and I also got a couples massage in their spa, which was very nice and relaxing.

Lastly, a very special thank you to the staff at the hotel. My partner and I are American and do not speak Chinese. Though not everyone at the hotel speaks English (which is understandable), there are many staff that do and are very kind and willing to help you with anything you need. Shout out to Adam, Daniel, and Julie, who were very kind, welcoming, and friendly to us throughout our stay.

We hope to visit Haikou again soon, and would stay here again in a heartbeat :)

Another fantastic stay at The Langham. I was part of a group that had Christmas Day lunch and the hotel staff made the stay a very memorable one. A special mention to Adam who went way beyond to ensure that everything went so smoothly. He was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast service was certainly better than my last stay and that was pleasing to see. Unfortunately, there was no orange juice at breakfast this morning but Adam soon rectified that and brought me a fresh glass when I asked for it. The room was amazing as ever and the staff in the club lounge were very friendly and helpful. Overall, my wife and I had a brilliant stay and we'll certainly be back.

Visited the Langham Haikou after a long trip. The first experience upon stepping into the hotel was that it was a quiet and exclusive hotel. Very posh and luxurious. Rooms were exceptionally clean. Our stay at the hotel was made even better when we met a very wonderful service staff at the executive lounge named Coco. Her attention to detail and promptness in delivering excellent customer service has made our stay at Langham Haikou a very memorable one!

Conveniently located hotel next to a huge mall. The room was very comfortable and the night view is amazing. Special thanks to Mr Joey for the warm & professional welcome and for making the check in process seamless. Breakfast was OK, a good spread to start the day off. I'd definitely return again.

This is the first time we have stayed in a Langham and it has not let us down. The hotel is centrally located just across the Evergreen park and some blocks away from a shopping area with plenty of dinning places at a walking distance. The taxi to/from the airport costs around 70-80 yuan and to Qilou street around 20 yuan.

The hotel looks new and perfectly kept. It is very clean as well in the common areas and in the rooms. The decoration is elegant classic but also contemporary with a touch of sophistication. All the facilities are new and very well maintained. The room we were was very big and well equipped in terms of lighting, TV and domotica.; much better than the average in other hotels of the same category. It was soundproofed and there was no noise at all. The bathroom was also very ample with separated shower and bath, very elegant and with good amenities. The housekeeping service was very efficient and everything used in the room was replenished perfectly. We had an issue with the door lock and it was solved in less than 10 minutes.

The place where the breakfast was served had room enough for the occupation of the hotel and was clean and ordered. Even with a high occupation, we did not have the feeling of overcrowded and stress feeling. The food was varied and the on-demand service was fast and efficient with Chinese and Western choices. The high tea in the ground floor was very nice as well.

Overall we had a very good experience and actually I cannot find any negative comment for our stay. We stayed in a room facing the city but I would recommend a seaview room because the view at night must be fantastic.

The Langham is a new hotel and a lot of taxi drivers are not aware of it. There is new building construction next door but you won't hear it. The hardware throughout is first rate. The service as with most hotels in China has room for improvement, but it was within reason at the Langham. The problem is the staff isn't trained to think to solve very simple issues. The task required either falls within a memorized protocol or they struggle to ask a superior or hand you off to another colleague who doesn't know which is also time consuming. As mentioned in other reviews, the breakfast selection is a bit small for a high end hotel but reasonable considering the city and nightly rate here. I suspect the occupancy rate or demand for a five star hotel with a huge buffet breakfast selection is low in this city. Across the street from the hotel is the back of a main shopping center in the city. There are restaurants and global consumer brands like Nike, Adidas, Uniqlo, etc but I wouldn't say the complex is family friendly in an international sense. It's what you would expect in a tier 2 city in China, so local language skills are a must.

Stayed there in April for 2 nights. Rooms were clean with good views. The staff were friendly and helpful when approached. However, the breakfast was nothing to shout about. Choices were limited and you had to walk out to a pavilion at the outdoor dining area to get your juices. It is near eating and shopping choices but if you do not like the hustle and bustle of the place, I would recommend to stay at Mission Hills which may have a quieter ambience.

Junior Suite is of a good size and nice decor. Excellent service from concierge on ground floor to check in on 43 floor. House keeping, staff in restaurants, spa and executive lounge deserves commendation. Good location with a beautiful park across the road and shopping and dining a stone's throw away.
