Our stay here was pure perfection from start to finish. Our pool villa was insanely beautiful and well appointed. The service from the staff was as good as any 5 star hotel I’ve stayed in the world and always with a smile and joyful spirit This is one of our favorite properties of all time due to the room and amenities and particularly the staff. Bravo to our butler Neand, driver kosol and Ewan the GM whe along with the rest of the staff were impeccable. Thank you for making our stay sheer perfection ❤️🙏❤️

We enjoyed our stay at Shinta Mani Shack. This is a really nice hotel in a great location. We had requested a room on the upper floor and were very pleased with it. The room was a good size, with a large comfortable bed. Good lighting, there was a control panel on the bedside table, which worked well.
Bathroom was a good size, with efficient walk in shower.
Staff in the hotel were lovely, so polite and helpful.
There is lovely swimming pool in the centre of the hotel with the rooms set in a square around the pool. We spent a couple of afternoons by the pool and it was very relaxing, particularly as the spa girls provide a complimentary back massage which was lovely!
Breakfast was good, with a wide choice of fruits, bread, pastries, even honey dripping from a honeycomb. There were also a range of items cooked to order, which were very good.
There are a number of drinking water dispensers around the hotel
We ate in the hotel one evening, but there are plenty of good restaurant options within a few minutes’ walk. Pub Street is only 10 minutes’ walk or a $2 Tuk Tuk ride.
Although this hotel stay was part of a packaged trip, it was just the sort of place we would have booked if we had been travelling independently, which is the best compliment we could give it!

Shinta Mani Shack
We stayed at the SMS for the last two days of our travel marvel tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. This hotel comes highly rated and the positive comments written by previous guests are well deserved. The staffs are amazing, the breakfast is superb and the standard of accommodation is equal to many 5* hotels. The location is only a short distance from Pub street or similar, and although the distance is very walkable a tuk-tuk costs between 2 -3 $ for four passengers.
The pool is lovely and made a very welcome end to a day’s sightseeing. We found the drinks to be on the pricey side but there is a happy hour / BOGOF between 5.00 to 6.30 pm.
The one suggestion I would make to hotel management is to mark the small step down into the bathroom with black and yellow warning tape making it more obvious ( both my husband and I fell down twice)
If I visit Seim Reap in the future I will not hesitate to book the Shinta Mani Shack Hotel.

Our very first time to Siem Reap and stayed at this fabulous Hotel, the ambience is beautiful. All the Staff were so friendly and very helpful. Our room was on the Ground Floor with the Pool at our doorstep. The room was very large, clean & well set out, a huge & very comfortable bed with the best pillows. Lovely bathroom with Shower, Hairdryer and fresh towels daily. Our bed was turned down for us each night too. The pool was clean and we found very relaxing to lay on the beds beside the pool, and the Pool bar staff were very attentive at all times. The Restaurant was so good, our buffet breakfast in the mornings was something to look forward to, so much to choose from & something suitable for everyone worldwide. We ate our evening meals here as well, and the menu had some very delicious dishes, making our mouths water. Once again the Staff were excellent, very friendly and there to assist you at all times. The Spa treatment was also wonderful. The Hotel is situated in a good location, making it so easy to walk to various different places, eg markets. My hubby & myself do 100% recommend this Hotel & definitely will stay there again. Marilyn & Marty Jones

My husband and I were watching a program called "Designing Paradise" on TV when we first saw the Shinta Mani Angkor hotel featured there. We were thrilled by the design, all in black and white with accents of orange, and impulsively we booked into this hotel for our Anniversary.
This is a cute boutique hotel with so many design elements and surprises at every turn and corner. Right from the quirky statues to the koi fish, the cusions and the beautifully folded Lotus flowers all over, it was just a sensational experience.
Our room itself was cool and inviting everyday after the long and strenuous sight seeing and had every possible comfort in it. This is also the very first hotel that said that the mini bar was for our use, free of charge !
We have to mention the staff here - all of them without exception, and specially Jack and Sophy made our return to the hotel every day a really warm and homely experience. Nothing was impossible for them - including the vegetarian food we had, the hampers packed beautifully for us, the hot coffee and muffins ready at 4 a.m !
But I must add that there was this beautiful book called Escapism by the Designer of Shinta Mani in each room. I spent several hours enjoying the photographs in them. On an impulse i dashed off an email to the designer Ben Bensley ... to be pleasantly shocked to receive a warm reply from him !
The day we left, at least six of the staff waved us off as we drove away.... I felt like I was leaving Mom's house !
To Manager and the wonderful staff of the Shinta Mani Angkor, Or Khun !
This was the best Anniversary we have ever had !

I stayed at the Shinta Mani as part of a Dental volunteer group. They welcomed us like family and were very involved in supporting community projects like ours. The staff was so friendly and polite and could do anything. Make a beautiful drink (see Poeun at the bar) or meal, give you the best massage of your life, arrange a ride or tuk tuk, make reservations for excursions, even run out with a warm , dry towel for you when you stepped out of the pool.

The grounds were amazing and artistic and creative design elements are everywhere. You can eat breakfast outside in a striped bed suspended like large swings. There were cushioned seats in the bar that hung over the second level with views of the street. There were koi darting around in the water on either side of the main walkway. And the pool. The pool was so refreshing with salt water instead of harsh chemicals and surrounded by flowering vines in a shady courtyard with a small water feature at the end. My favorite place after a hot day’s work.

The rooms were spacious, clean, had great a/c , wonderful rain showers, and a cool overhead light with photos of Angkor Wat that illuminated.

The location was in walking distance of many fun things to do in town but very quiet for a restful night’s sleep.

But again, the staff made my visit here so memorable. From the kind hands of the massage technicians to the great recommendations of places to go from Ewan the manager and everyone at the front desk who was happy to answer questions or make a call any time of day. Each staff member I walked by always greeted me and offered help or a cool, scented towel for my neck. They even all gathered to say goodbye when we left and waved us off to the airport. I have never had a more heartwarming hotel experience. Thank you everyone at Shinta Maní for making me feel special and for all you give back to your community and fellow humans. Highly recommend you to any traveler. ♥️

This hotel is very well located and nicely appointed. The decor is really something special from the koi pond and the entrance to the lotus flower arrangments in the lobby area to the large portrait pictures on the bedroom ceiling its all to a very beautiful presentation. We stayed at the hotel the villas are on the other side. The pool on the hotel side is much smaller and while we were told we cold use the pool facility at the villa side ... not so much!

Two points of contention, the hotel is quite near the river and whether that is the cause or just the large amount of greenery in the hotel setting I got more mosquito bites in my room than anywhere in Angkor including Angkor Thom where there is usually quite a bit of standing water. The hotel is I believe aware as they provide a can of bug spray in the rooms. The other issue was getting housekeeping to replace the wash cloths. They would take them away when they cleaned the room but not replace them after day one. Invariably when you call the front desk you are provided with hand towels and not wash cloths ... ahhh well nothing is easy when traveling these days.

I will say the breakfast is not to be missed. The buffet is quite expansive and the set menu is very nice and the staff are very accommodating if you want to tweak an item like having an omelet without ham or a decaffeinated coffee.

All in all this is a very good location, about 30 minutes from the airport. 5 minutes walk to the river, 15 minutes walk ( easily done) to the old market and Pub Street. And if you don't feel like walking there are tuk tuk's at the ready to ferry you around for a modest fee.

Dear Pandora_is_Eve, Thank you for your review. We are so sorry that your stay did not meet your full expectations. After a devastating and very difficult 2 years of closure, we have just been able to fully reopen the hotel and the team is still trying to play catch up - our apologies for mixing up face cloth and hand towels. It might be that mosquitoes did not disturb you at Angkor Thom as you were not there in the evenings when mosquitoes appear. We regularly perform pest control services and mosquitoes are no worse than any other hotel in the city, however, this does not take away from the fact that you were bitten and for this we do apologise on behalf of nature. Thank you for your words of praise for the location and food. We hope that you were able to enjoy the rest of your time in Cambodia and wish you a happy new year 2023. Regards, Ewan and the Shinta Mani team.

Immediately on arrival at this lovely boutique hotel we felt a calmness and serenity which was very welcome after nearly 2 weeks of Temples, planes, sights and heat.
It was small enough to remain very personal with delightful staff who always wore a smile.
Complimentary massages and ice cream round the pool were a nice touch and made us feel special.
Food is excellent albeit limited at dinner however we would advise taking the short walk or tuk tuk in to town where there are lots of restaurants.
Great breakfast and lunch options though.
Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable and all have pool views and balconies or terraces.
Highly recommended.

Stayed here as part of organised tour rooms are lovely and ours opened up to the gardens and pool area very inviting after hot day out to visit the temples. Breakfast very nice could do with more organisation topping up foods when very busy - there were 71 of us all coming in together. Had Kyhmer meal on 2nd night was very disappointed to find that all the food was served cold seemed like good food spoilt.

First time to Cambodia and we were not disappointed! There were many unknowns but the staff at the Shinta Mani alleviated any and all concerns. As you pull up to the hotel there are people ready to greet you with a cold and very nice smelling hand towel. The front desk is knowledgeable and willing to line up any activity you want during your stay including- a tee time a the Angkor Golf Resort, tuk tuks, cooking classes, an elephant experience, and more! Communication is easy as they speak english well. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and cool. Cold drinking water is available in the rooms as well as throughout the hotel. The hotel has a top notch spa and beautiful common areas around the pool. There location is incredible as it is close to great restaurants, shopping, and the temples.

Nice and convenient restaurant on site with traditional western food as well as asian options.

Another incredible reason to stay is the Shinta Mani Foundation! Incredible to be able to support the locals with the cost of our stay.
