This hotel is large, modern and with an impersonal feel. It was handy to have a restaurant close to the reception and we had a lunch and a nice breakfast there. The pool looked inviting, but unfortunately there was no time to use it.

Our room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately the A/C was not up to the task, and we could not get below 26 degrees C. A bit uncomfortable when you are trying to sleep.

We had a fridge and an old-style in-room safe.

Very good choice in Santa Cruz. Nice pool area (gym in building just past the pool), breakfast area also near the pool. Room was large with seating area and a wonderful mural. We were late arriving for breakfast but they very kindly provided us with some food even though it was all put away. Wonderful service.
We walked to nearby Bravissimo restaurant for supper. Excellent option. Easy walk to main square. Both Libertad and Monsieur Rivero lead to Square. Libertad is a quieter walk but Rivero has banks with ATMs.

We have been at the Cortez three times, we couldn't even consider going to another hotel. The staff is so friendly and efficient, they make you feel at home. Lovely rooms, a charming patio with an inviting swimming pool and plenty of spaces where one can relax and enjoy.. Wonderful breakfast with a generous variety of fresh fruits.
Although there are many good restaurants in the vicinity, it is a good idea to dine right there, great food!

Very nice and clean rooms with incredible shower. The showers in this hotel are awesome. Amazing water pressure and hot water from rain shower head. Not one to rave about showers but our whole group commented on it.

We stayed a couple of nights at this hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The AC worked just fine. The breakfast was included and was great. The location is ok. There is a shuttle service that brings you to the airport but make sure to have your name on the list. Wifi is available in the rooms.

I stayed there this past April and was rather pleased with the Hotel. The hotel itself was nice not too glamourous but in an ideal location. The room was comfortable and clean. I was rather impressed with the customer service. The staff made sure that my mother and I felt at home. If we had any crazy requests the folks at the front desk tried their best to make it happen. The food was GREAT! The folks at the restaurant were courteous and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our food. I had a wonderful experice and would go back to that hotel next time I head back to Santa Cruz.

to be in SCZ, positioned on 2nd ring hotel has everything you need on business trip. Rooms are a bit smaller then expected but but I don't find that so important. Gym is small but Saunas (both Finish and Turkish) are working fine. Stuff is super polite but with limited English. Restaurant is fine, no complaines at all, prices are fair. es posible organizar nuestra reunión en los próximos tres días. estoy en Quito hasta el jueves por la mañanaI would say good value for money

I recently stayed in Hotel Cortez when travelling to Santa Cruz for work. I was there for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The hotel staff are pleasant. Rooms are bright and spacious. Very clean bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable and are likely to give you a great night's sleep. Modern decor. A decent number of options in the restaurant as well as a daily menu special (3 courses). There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Electronic keys to ensure saving on energy.

The hotel has a beautiful business centre that guests can make use of. Also, there's a lovely pool area with tons of seating in and around it.

We had our business meetings in a few of their rooms during our stay (as the size of our group grew, we went to bigger rooms).

It was a welcomed treat after a lot of travelling in more rural parts of the country for the first part of my business trip.

stayed here after spending a week in a tiny village on a mission trip. After sleeping on straw mattresses on the floor, we were absolutely delighted to find comfortable beds, hot water, AC, and internet availability. OK, maybe we were easy to please at that point, but the hotel was beautiful and the staff were very accomodating. We actually dropped off about 15 large pieces of luggage on a Friday afternoon and took an overnight trip to Samaipata to visit "El Fuerte". The hotel stored our bags for us until our return and check-in on Saturday. Everything was cared for safely, and the bellmen helped us sort it all out and transport it to our rooms. The only slight problem was that there was no elevator from the first to the second floor, so we had to haul everything up 2 short flights of stairs. Once we were there, though, carts were provided to finish the transport. Several of us walked to the Fridolin restaurant -- you can Google their site -- around the corner for fantastic pizza (I won't even tease you about the fabulous desserts in the bakery at the rear!), and then joined the rest of our group seated by the lovely pool for a complimentary beverage. We also took advantage of the business center located on the second floor, complete with printer to print out boarding passes for the next day. Since there were so many of us and we were departing so early in the morning, we were given a shuttle all to ourselves. Took us directly to the airport (about a 15 minute drive), and the driver helped all of us load and unload everything.

Due to a mix up by our travel agent we actually stayed in Hotel Cortez (No 5 Tripadvisor) and Hotel LP Santa Cruz (No 1 Tripadvisor) all within a few days. OK a little bit more expensive but Hotel Cortez was an easy favorite. Better location, better room and absolutely perfect wi-fi, TV and air conditioning. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Great bed and a fridge which accommodated our anniversary bottle of wine. A secure safe in the room - why don't all hotels offer this facility? Swimming pool looked great. We heard the building work next door but it didn't bother us. Staff so willing to help. Minor complaint? Breakfast pretty good, but staff not so keen to give us the hot toast. This hotel should be number one
