We stayed in this hotel first week of January 2020 as large Reunion group of over 50 guests from Medical College alumni, arrived from various countries. Best thing is that we received our rooms wen we arrived around 10 O’Clock in the morning (check-in time is normally 2pm). Perfect location 5 minutes walk just across the road from Dubai Mall and the Boulavard Walk where very nice cafes and restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating and live music. Plenty of lifts that are very fast. Rooms are spacious. We were upgraded for free to get top 14th floor room with amazing view. Free WiFi. Rooms are being cleaned 2-3 times a day with full change of towels. Rooms have sophisticated coffee/tea, bath robes, slippers, soap bars, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brush, paste, cotton buds, shower caps, multiple bottles of free water, Safe, iron with ironing board. Breakfast is brilliant with extensive choice and indoor and outdoor seating. Lobby is medium size with free Arabian coffee and dates served to your seat. Free shuttles to the mall every few hours. Taxis are ordered to you at the hotel entrance instantly. Staff are exceptionally friendly and speak English fluently. Special thanks to Hanin at the front desk and the coffee boy who is in Arabic costume (Abdou). Excellent hotel very well recommended.

Firstly, I would like to thank all the receptionist team members as they were very professional, especially Monica she was beyond expectation. she was continuously taking care of us by checking up with us if everything is ok, in addition to the lovely gesture were she gave us more attention and remarkable hospitality, it was a real kind from her :)

taking into consideration that we booked twice since it was a peaceful stay so we repeat it again. Thanks to Hanin as she was able to allocate a very quiet room and spectacular view on the 12th floor.

I'd like to highlight the procedure after the Covid 19 pandemic is very strict and hygiene is the top priority for all the hotel facilities.

The swimming pool is clean and pretty nice although the water is cold yet it is ok to adjust, the whole team members (lifeguards and bartender) are very expert and well trained specially Mostafa who was able to assist me in the fitness exercises since I have back pain. he is an excellent coach indeed.

Lalit -the bartender- is well qualified and always has great hospitality.

taking about Gym & Swimming pool, I should mention the great assistance manager Abla as she took care of us in order to enjoy our time. she was always asking if we need anything and taking care of the sanitary and safety of all guests.

The location is more than ideal since it is in the middle of Dubai and the view is panoramic.

I highly recommend each and every person to visit this great hotel. you will enjoy the services, facilities, and hospitality.

I visited Dubai on a business trip, and stayed at the Swissotel Al Murooj from 5th December 2020 to 14th January.

The resort is absolutely exquisite? With many activity and restautant options for every kind of guest.
The location is Superb👌

The staff was friendly and anxious to please--the front desk and concierge were particularly helpful. Always greeted with a warm welcoming smile

It has wonderful facilities and great service. A very special place to stay where nothing is too much trouble. Hotel rooms spacious with your own team of excellent staff to accommodate your every requirement.

Razani, Qasim, Maria were absolutely incredible. They were always available to assist in every way possible and they went above and beyond their call of duty to ensure that I was happy, comfortable and well taken care of. They definately made my stay wonderful.
I would stay at the hotel simply because of their great service.

The breakfast is nice , but needs more selection. Throughout my stay there, I opted to have breakfast only twice.

The biggest issue I had was The level of cleanliness.

The hotel is rather old though, and therefore most of the furniture and decor is outdated and not particularly clean. The couches have stains on them and the carpets aswell...abd because they are old and never changed, they have a very unpleasant odour.
The carpets in the rooms needs to be removed.

The cleaning of rooms is less than satisfactory. I had to request on many occasions, for housekeeping to specifically dust and vacuum my room and actually change beddings, because the only cleaning that would be Done, is change towels...but the room would still be very dusty and dirt that would have been on the carpet before it was cleaned, would still be there after getting cleaned.

I stayed at the Roda as part of a conference. overall, I would say the accommodations were decent but could have been better, especially for the price they charge. The room was well appointed but I often had problems with the shower head (water pressure would at time be sporadic and totally disappear); not quite what you would expect from a central located business hotel. The buffet was decent but the organization was so haphazard they had you running around the whole restaurant to get your breakfast meal. The staff also seemed to not operate on their own: I booked breakfast and promptly told the waiter that it would be a room charge; well imagine that after harassing me with 4 phone calls and 3 door knocks, he eventually figured out how to charge it to the room. It seemed counterintuitive to continually harass a guest for a buffet charge that could have easily been handled at checkout. I was even more floored that they were selling their loyalty program to get ppl to sign up; without telling you that it was a $200USD charge to join the loyalty program (yes, you get a free room credit for one night) but that’s still not exactly a loyalty program.

Location was superb, rooms were a bit worn out, breakfast area was super crowded and needed additional staff who could not cope with the volume of people flooding in. Lobby area was crowded. Valet parking was too tight and was very stressful getting into your car and rushing to leave every single time. Mini market doenstaies was a rip off. Staff are very friendly and were helpful when needed. Overall is was an ok experience without anything special to take home with you.

We booked this hotel with a high expectations and was displeased.
Location wise, it's good cause it's near Dubai Mall. Room was big for two but have an issue with the AC. We tried using the pool and was let down cause it's small from the pic on the website. Also, it was our first time to be asked to book an appoinment in using the pool, the limit is only 2 hours per day if you wish to use that facility. Totally absurd, we understand that they are trying to do social distancing but we wish that we were informed during check-in to the hotel about that procedure.
We also tried ordering from the pool bar and took time before a F&B server came to assist us thinking we were the only one who wanted to have food from that area at that time. It's a good thing that the nachos we ordered were good.
In room dining team were nice, we orderd an ayam goreng, the taste was a bit weird thinking that it was an indonesian food but it taste like arabic/indian. Breakfast menu is simple it cost only 50 aed so dont expect a lot of options. We asked for a hot chocolate and it was not even hot when it was served.
We are having 2nd thought's if we will refer it to friends and family and if we wilĺ come back.

Many years ago I had visited Al Murooj a few times taking away pleasant memories. It’s an amazing, beautiful & clean hotel, the service is awesome with high standards and right in the heart of Dubai, with an amazing view facing Burj Khalifa. This year I wanted to surprise my wife for her birthday and our anniversary, so I decided to pay a visit to A Murooj, so I booked through a travel agent for a deluxe room with an extra bed for my son.



I called the hotel with excitement and spoke to reservation to make sure the room was decorated as a surprise to my wife. My excitement and surprise had gone when I came to know that the agent booked a small room, two separate beds with no extra bed for my son. It was a shamble, I was furious, upset and totally opposite of being excited. The lady at reservation Ivy her name was, calmed me down and promptly acted on my frustration. She involved the guest relation mgr Monica, whom took control of fixing this immediately as our check in was the following day. Monica done an excellent job of turning the whole thing around by upgrading us to the deluxe suite and asked me to send some individual pictures of us as a family.



The day we arrived both Monica and Ivy were on standby to greet us and what a surprise they had waiting for us. The room was decorated with balloons, towel art, refreshments, fruits basket, 20 pictures of us all printed on photo cards laid out across the room with a welcome - happy anniversary cake. My wife was speechless, I was speechless, my kids were running around the room with excitement.



Covid restrictions also meant that the hotel was at 30% occupancy consequently the pool areas were quite empty so there was lots of space between guests and it made the break more relaxing. The restaurant was clean, very spacious and breakfast was brilliant, the selection of food was amazing, the service was top notch. We were served by Jackson a very polite, patient and friendly guy also great with little kids.



Before checking out, I had to express my gratitude and share my constructive feedback to Mina the Duty mgr for the level of professionalism and kindness of the Al Murooj staff. All in all, considering we are in a pandemic situation, the hotel still managed to be a great holiday away and it’s all thanks to the very hard working staff!



What more can I say, we had a great time celebrating our anniversary and my wife’s birthday. Overall the service was impeccable with great ambience, very good atmosphere and so suitable for families! We love this place and will be returning soon!

Pros: We started out really liking the hotel. Rita at the frontdesk was really friendly. Our room on the 7th floor was spacious and comfortable with a direct sunrise view every morning. Dubai Mall with access to the Burj Khalifa was just across the road, and the breakfast buffet was good.

Cons: We registered as a couple and personal information was taken from both our passports. At check-in, we were told that breakfast was included but NOT told that the online booking showed that the room was booked for one person and the rate paid was for only one breakfast. I made the booking directly through the Accor website as a member and selected a room that stated a maximum occupancy for 2 people. I did not realize that somehow, the booking was made for only 1 person. We only learned of this error when we were having breakfast on the second day and was approached by a staff member to let us know, and that we were to settle the additional charges at the frontdesk. If we had known earlier, we might have considered the option of not having breakfast at the hotel and get a less expensive one elsewhere. I had originally thought breakfast was not included in the room rate and we were already prepared to skip breakfast or eat elsewhere until we were told that breakfast was included at check-in.

Secondly, we agreed to have an amount from our credit card held by the hotel for services that we would like charged to the room and settled at check-out. However, when we sent some clothing items for laundry, we received a note upon returning to our room that we had to call housekeeping to get our clothes back. We were later told that we had to pay for the service using our credit card directly to the housekeeping staff. When we mentioned that we already have an amount on hold by the hotel for such services, the housekeeping staff told us that it was not possible because the hotel will never hold any amount for such services and that it was the hotel policy. I told the man who said he was the supervisor that I have stayed at many hotels before and that unless laundry service is by an independent provider, I should be able to charge the service to the room. The man then, insultingly, told me that unless I am a VVIP from whom the hotel may withhold thousands (of dollars/dirhams), I cannot charge to the room. I was flabbergasted by his rudeness. What was the point of holding money from my credit card if I cannot charge anything to the room. What made it worse was, when I complained to the frontdesk about what happened, nothing was done. All they said was sorry and that the amount on hold would be released to me. When I asked about what action would be taken for the disrespect I received from the housekeeping personel, the frontdesk staff asked for me email and told me that I will be informed. I did not receive any email from the hotel after my stay other than an invoice/receipt for my stay.

Amazing experience at Swissotel, their cleaning was grest, they respect private belongings and they give personalized attention to each guest. The staff in charge of our room were Dipak and Manish, great people and respectful. We really enjoyed its breakfast too and the amazing thing is its location un front of dubai Mall and near the metro station

I stayed in a room with street view and it is fine for me. Garden view, in my opinion , is not so special. I would go for breakfast only. It is not far from Dubai Mall, about 10 min walk, but the route is not the most pleasant.

inside the hotel there is one i forget the name , it is right beside the lobby , outside the’hotel there is one also one minute walk there is one also …these are for the bars for the restaurant inside the hotel there is one buffet…then outside to the left side there are like 4 i remember krusher not bad small hamburgers, then right side there are like 3…one is japanese, …
