We stayed at the Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa on New Year’s Eve and New Years Day. It was an unlikely choice for us as we live in Dubai but we had booked dinner at La Mer and found that this hotel is perfectly situated.

Having stayed at other hotels across the UAE our expectations were average as we realized that Covid had a major effect on the general standard of service but this hotel threw that notion out the window. It’s amazing how it always comes down to the little things, we were greeted by every single member of staff if we walked by and not once were we told ‘I need to check’. The absolute win for me was the double bed sun loungers that you usually have to pay a fortune for at other hotels and the heated pool which you can walk right into.

From check in to check out the stay was nothing short of excellent, employees attentive and informed. Subtle up-sell of promotions and some of the best service I have ever received in Dubai! Yes the hotel is dated but it is maintained well with comfortable beds, clean neat understated rooms, heated pools and so many restaurants to pick from you will be spoilt for choice. The buffet food in Traverna is select but amazing - unlike at other hotels.

This hotel ticks all the boxes, good location, beach and pool, great food and amazing service. Other hotels can learn from Dubai Marine Beach Resort, the promotions and package deals are value for money and for that level of service I will be visiting more often in this hew year.

This is one of Dubai's older hotels, one of the few, which kept their core values around guest service.
Despite other hotels implementing big cuts resulting in a low service level the Dubai Marine Beach Resort kept the standards high, which impressed us.

We stayed here for 2 nights during new year's 2020-2021. Upon arrival the check in was uncomplicated and fast, we received an upgrade and the whole procedure until we ended up in our room together with our luggage did not last longer than 10 minutes.

It immediately came to our attention that the staff seems to be happy, even though you cannot always see a smile behind the masks which are mandatory to wear, people seemed in a good mood, always willing to help, always greeting friendly and always trying to make sure you are comfortable.

Our room was spacious and had everything you need, 2 Flat Screen TVs, a lounge area, master bedroom with comfortable bed, minibar, a balcony and a bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub.

Our first stop was the beach bar. Even though here the staff was setting up for the new year's night event they still managed to serve all guests timely fashioned and not with that bored, demotivated look on their faced you get nowadays in other hotels around the city. They simply kept the spirit up.

The beach itself is quite small, however if you are just looking for a small dip to cool down it's great. I have counted 3 pools on the property.

The service by the pool was fine as well, it was handled by 2 persons, always aware of the latest deal and appearing frequently to take new orders.

The hotel has plenty of restaurants to choose from. Taverna is the main restaurant if you have breakfast and lunch included in your package. It is a small but high quality buffet with tasty food which we enjoyed.
One night we decided to dine at Sho Cho, which is a Japanese restaurant situated by the beach overlooking the sea. Also here you can get great deals on drinks (which especially people coming from overseas might have interest in) as well as superb quality Japanese food.

All in all I can say that I would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel, no matter if you are a tourist coming to visit Dubai or a resident enjoying a staycation.

Not a five star or five star service. The hotel is well situated in quiet jumeirah, right next to “la mer”. The hotel is a series of small buildings which each include several rooms. It’s a very pleasant environment, but the rooms should have been updated years ago. The rooms are clean but the bathroom is old. All the staff are very nice, but service is “challenging “. For example we had to ask 5x for an iron before we finally got one. Our son arrived with his family & young kids at 2am but the sofa bed had not been made.
The pool area is nice but it is very difficult to find anyone to order a drink or food. Food is good but expect to pay EUR 20 for any burger or club sandwich.
An important feature for any hotel is the breakfast: at this hotel it is very average. Some fried things, 3 or 4 different cereals. The whole pastry side is not edible if you’re used to nice pastries.
So in summary, the hotel is situated in a nice & quiet area with a supermarket nearby which is handy if you have children. However it is definitely not a 5star hotel and you will not get 5star service.

Where do I start with the issues we encountered. Upon checking in and going into our room we had the following issues, There was a screw on the floor of the bathroom that was for the door stop that was non existent and therefore I nearly stepped on it. The electric sockets did not work except for 1. The USB port next to the bed did not work. Side lights did not work and when trying to have a shower there was no pressure and therefore could not have a shower. I contacted reception on my way out the next morning and was told that they will be looked at by 12pm. 1 pm when I arrived back, nothing was done and I therefore contacted reception again. After the 4th attempt to get this resolved, I finally had maintenance come and look at the issues. The USB and electric sockets were fixed and the screw was removed. The shower he said that this is the pressure until I mentioned this is supposed to be a 5star resort where he quickly stated he will get a colleague to some and take a look at it. A hour later, the pressure was better but still not great. Nothing about the lights.
The Breakfast was ok, but be warned they do not keep the the advertised times so if you decide to go at 10.15 where its advertised as open until 10.30 they have already cleared up and we missed it for 1 of the days.
The dinner (Half Board) is a set menu. That is fine and the food was good. The issue is is states 5 restaurants 1 of which I knew before hand was closed. However, Tavernia is advertised as 24 hours but only open for breakfast and I'm guessing room service. Another restaurant I was told upon check out is no longer part of the chain and the final one was closed too. This left me with 2 options for dinner. When ordering food, for half board the drink is water and that's it. All other drinks including soft drinks is chargeable.
As we got to the hotel late on the 1st day we decided to get room service. This was good, but the tray was left outside our room for 5 days.
As the resort is next to a Mosque, between 3.30 and 5 in the morning, you have the prayers which woke me up every time.
Upon check out, I complained about all these issues and was told as my daughter had a bottle of water they wanted to charge me for this. This was the final straw for me and when I mentioned that I will be giving a bad review, they said dont worry about it. I had had enough by this point and left the money of 10 dirhams on the counter as this is all I had.
This is the 6th trip I have had to Dubai and by far the worst I have stayed in including a 2 star in Deira. Avoid this hotel..

The hotel is insanely old. The rooms are very old and dirty. The beach is very small. All positive reviews are false. the staff are angry. they do not know how to cook in restaurants on the territory, the food is meager and monotonous, fried in a large amount of oil and heavily peppery. The cleaning in the rooms is disgusting! They can forget the trash in the middle of the room. Towels, perfume gel, shampoo, toiletries, slippers, tea, coffee are put in only when you start swearing with them. She asked me to bring an ironing board (although according to the description it should be in every room), in the end I waited an hour! They arrived after 5 calls. As a result, the ironing board was broken, did not stand and fell to my feet, and the iron was half broken and flooded my entire dress with water. As a result, for another hour they checked the serviceability of the iron, which had to be thrown into the trash. There can be no question of any 5 stars! The beach is not cleaned! There is rubbish everywhere on the beach. There are no benches on the territory. There is nowhere to sit in the evening. It is forbidden to sit on the beach in the evening. In restaurants on site, you need to order something at crazy prices and it is not tasty to breathe in the sea air. The staff at the beach takes sunbeds and then sells them to foreigners. We rested for a month and were not satisfied! The worst hotel in Dubai (we have been working in Dubai for 15 years and we know what local service is).

My kids loved the pools. It’s good that they have 3 pools including 1 kids pool so it does not get crowded. Easter brunch also included mixed grill and live pasta cooking stations. Love the resort property, only wish they will upgrade the toilet and changing area. Good customer service, all staff are accommodating. Thanks to Irish of club reception for taking good care of us.

My friend chose to stay at this hotel after seeing the pictures and thinking it’s a high end resort with huge rooms and many swimming pools so I for one didn’t know what to expect.

The ladies and the gentleman at the reception were super friendly and professional. The staff at the concierge were also very polite and helpful. The same goes for the guys who drive the golf carts that take you to your rooms.

The room was smaller than the pictures (we had a “twin room” with a balcony) but we had no view as there was an overgrown tree blocking our view. I put twin room between quotes because we were greeted with a king bed (for two dudes) and when one of the bell desk employees who were carrying our bags called housekeeping to rearrange the room, nobody came and that’s when we decided to cut our stay short and stay for one night only instead of three. The bathroom was old and the shower valve was broken and kept turning off so I had to shower with one hand and hold the valve with the other.

We ended up checking out the next day and although we were offered an upgrade, we were already done.

The best thing about the hotel, besides some of the staff, was the white-eared bulbuls flying around the trees and singing otherwise, I can’t recommend this one.

I had booked a private Dinner for my dads 75th Birthday Anniversary and it was a very special occasion for us. Upon reaxching there we were very disappointed as we were handed out the worst experience possible.
The management , service and food all were pathethic and the overall cold treatment was shocking.
There was no one available for checking what we need . The waiter looked hassled and just kept serving the menu after huge delays . Had to go up to counter to keep reminding them.
The cake message was faulty and even a small request of having a few baloons couldnt be managed.

What was promised in the menu wasnt served fully and looked like the hotel cut corners inspite of taking the premium charges.
Table was cluttered with water bottles glasses and there was no one to suggest anything. Even some light poles had just fallen off.
Some of the menu food taste was awful details of which i would not get into
Upon getting in touch woth the staff for spoiling the occasion they tried to cover up with blatant lies , refused refund and just offered a complementary dinner.
I would not recommend this place to anyone in future neither visit . They have 5 star label and deliver not even half a star. Will share review on more platforms so guests are aware in future.

When you arrive at this resort it's like magic so beautiful, with loads of palm tress & greenery a hidden gem close to La Mer shops and restaurants. There are 3 waterfall swimming pools you also have free access to the gorgeous beach with clear water and small fish. You can do paddle boarding and kayaking for a small fee.

What is so special about this place is the team of people with a very special thank you to Ruslan he looked after our family so well, we can not thank him enough for organising our perfect accomodation, not easy with 2 adults and 2 teenagers!!

On the beach there are so many lovely places to sit and relax and a fabulous beach bar. The staff we loved is particular Fathy, Alphonsus, Nigel and Fabian. They are the reason our holiday was so special the kids loved them, nothing was too much trouble and the cocktails and food was so bloomin good. Order the avocado toast :)

The rooms are clean and supplied with everything you might need we had a balcony which was so nice to sit in the evenings. There are many restaurants on site and a large selection of foods, from pizza, lobster everything is available.

We have returned and we are staright away booking up for next time, thanks all for the time of our lives, special memories made and we hope to see you again very soon xx
