Nestled in a coveted location, SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences garners compliments for its proximity to local attractions and its immaculate condition. The sophisticated atmosphere and luxurious rooms with breathtaking views are highlights for guests. The hotel opened on Easter Monday, 5th April 2021, and I was the first guest to arrive at the hotel. I got out of the taxi just before 10am and was greeted by the General Manager Spencer Hayato Wadama and some of his staff which was a very nice experience.

I wasn't expecting anything else but some of the staff accompanied me to the Sky Lobby on the 71st floor to check in and when I got out of the lift the entire team at reception was there to applaud me, I felt like a film star and it was great.

After checking in I was accompanied to the 59th floor and when I stepped out of the lift there, I got another huge surprise; the housekeeping staff were all waiting for me with a huge bouquet of flowers and they all accompanied me to my corner suite 5904 which was beautiful and had a large balcony with a couch, two armchairs and a coffee table. Later on I found a bottle of wine and a dish of macarons on the coffee table in the living room as a welcome gift.

Throughout my stay the staff were all exceptionally attentive and friendly, they greeted me every time I walked past and accompanied me to wherever I was going so I really felt looked after and I would like to thank all of them for that. I also got the opportunity to practice my languages as there were many different nationalities among the staff. The housekeeping staff were also great and my room and balcony were always kept spotless. I appreciated the turndown service too and attention to detail as I had a few specific requests and it was nice to come back after dinner and find a spotless room again.

I used the gym which has a view of Burj Khalifa and I went to both pools on the 75th floor. The one with the view of Burj Khalifa is small and shallow so more suitable for taking photos rather than swimming in. The one at the back was slightly bigger and I managed to do my 40 lengths of crawl at sunset on the outer edge which was around 20 metres long. The water was nice and warm in both pools, at least 30°C. There is a larger pool lower down in the residence section of the hotel which hopefully will be made available to hotel guests in the future.

I had a cocktail in the lobby bar and breakfast and dinner twice in Fi'lia, the Italian restaurant on the 70th floor where you can sit outside on a terrace overlooking the Burj Khalifa. Breakfast is served at the table and there is a very nice selection of dishes. Dinner is equally as good with beautifully presented Italian dishes and delicious pizzas. More restaurants and a hairdressing salon will be opening soon. I was delighted that the entire hotel was non-smoking and I also loved the music everywhere.

This was an experience I will never forget. I'm so happy I came here and that I'll always be remembered as the first guest.

Have been enjoying my stay here at SLS from my check in time at the reception, Backri M gave me a warm welcome and showed me all the rooms available without complaints and stress which made my booking easy.

The workers at the Gym has been really nice so far as they always replace the water bowl with ice and fresh bottle water frequently as well as towel.

Lastly the cleaners has been magnificent, Fatima and bibash does clean like they’ve been doing this there whole life, they do have a lot of passion for there jobs I must say. From tidying up the kitchen to the sitting area, toilet and bedroom always looking sparkling after there angelic cleaning touch.

The concierge guys are also great with helping hands whenever I do groceries shopping or coming back from the mall.

In all I’ll say SLS is a home of hospitality.

This 5 star hotel surely gets a 5 star service as well. From drop-off, to lobby, to hotel service—it was all well accompanied. Thanks to Marichu for helping us out with all our needs.
We don’t even need to tell them about cleaning our room and replenishing all toiletries, water, and linens, they know when you need them.
The Burj Khalifa view is just a plus to all of it.
And as a designer myself, I’m quite happy to see their accent rose gold for all their metal framings. Design wise, it’s also a great experience.

We had booked NYE celebration at S Bar SLS, unfortunately the disappointments started before the celebration began. A couple of our friends had to cancel their trip and we informed SLS about it asap but they refused to refund for their absence, so we ended up with double credit to spent on NYE. Just to mention that when we were booking the event we had no terms & conditions send only the payment link. We had booking for outside terrace so we can enjoy front row seats of Burj Khalifa fireworks which also cost more than inside seats and again unfortunately that day was raining in Dubai and when we arrived we found dirty glass in front of us which was so annoying. I can imagine it's not that easy to clean terrace glass on the 71st floor but still I believe it could have been arranged as it is not ordinary night and ppl pay a lot just for the view. Then, the food was so poor I can only compare it to kids birthday party ... mini burgers, chicken bites, maki rolls ... waitresses passing buy serving piece by piece to be taken ... I would expect a tray of food to be delivered to our table and not to hunt for a piece, because if you miss it your bite is gone. Cheery on top was on midnight when Manager appeared and demanded that I remove my professional camera as he stated I'm not allowed to take pictures with it unless I have special license to do so. He stayed in front of us during countdown and fireworks like we were some kind of criminals totally ruining the moment of celebration. If I had booked a room in SLS I cold have taken endless pictures from room balcony and not through dirty glass. I found this event rude and disrespectful which is why I'm rating the experience as a 1 star.

We staged for 2 days which ofcourse we have not continued cause of the service that we have faced , it took us 5 time to call someone to fix the AC which was not solved at all after booking a room that cost at almost a 6,000AED . Until the next day after waking up at 4:00am cause AC is getting worse we decided to leave the hotel first thing in the morning. No one bothered to call back . And the manager haven't left his office until we had to force the receptionist to call him before complaining to the government authorities. We have missed our buissnes meeting because of this issue . Later, Hotel decided to refund the left day that we have not stayed . Would never go back again to the hotel.

You have to keep calling concierge-room service- laundy a minimum of three calls to remind them of your request. Am surprised that such bad systematic sevice is available in 4+ star hotel

If there is a 0 out 5 review I wouldn’t hesitate to. The worst hotel I ever stayed in. Room service is terrible i’ve been calling them since morning and now it’s late at night and no one showed up. If you’ll call the concierge or the valet no one will pick up the phone. I booked a room a sky king with balcony and they said they’ll upgrade me because my room isn’t available and they upgraded my booking and the room I had looks like a 1 star motel. The rate of the room is higher than any hotel near the area and the service is very bad. I recommend no one to stay at this hotel and this is the last time I book in SLS i’d rather book in a one star hotel than SLS. In addition the room I had as they said are two floors which is the smallest room I’ve ever lived in and the bathroom is very small looks like an old apartment. It’s the first time I experienced a service like this.

Hotel is nice but certain members of staff made our experience a complete let down. There seems to be different rules for different members of the public. We were routinely asked our room number when entering certain areas of the hotel, to find other groups not receiving the same treatment moments later. The pool also doesn’t open till 9am and shuts at 6pm (at a skyscraper hotel where sunrise, before 7am, and sunset, after 6pm earliest, would be the times you’d definitely want to witness). Security routinely questioned why we wanted to go and take pictures of parts of a hotel we’d paid money to stay at. There was also a huge discrepancy about telling certain members of the public and staff members to wear masks but if ours had accidentally slipped down below our noses we would be stopped. Others weren’t wearing them at off or we even saw a chef with his under his chin. Security at the pool swore at me on our last day because he’d already let another guest out to sunbathe and tried to stop me. Reported all of these incidents to the night manager on 2 separate occasions and he didn’t seem to care at all. No action was taken against the abhorrent staff. For a city with hundreds of nice hotels and pools, find another one where you won’t be treated as a burden even though you’re a paying guest.

If you see this security guard prepare for hostile behaviour and being sworn at.

Despite the difficulties of my journey there, whilst I was there they were brilliant. Housekeeping who always wanted to make I had everything I needed; In Room Dining making sure I was fine when I was poorly and the food was filling and delicious; Concierge who moved me to another apartment because of outside noise and getting my PCR results on time; security who made sure I was safe when travelling. I have to stop because the list was endless. Will be going back December 2022. So SLS see you then. Miss Fiona. 😁

Great Hotel..luxuries experience and great venues.. but there are small things that disturbed me personally during my stay. the electricity was not working fully and I had to wait for help from the hotel on my first day then the room door locked battery was drained and I couldn't get to my room until the supervisor came to reset it and changed the battery.. also the bathroom mirror light was not working. . and the last thing the blackout for the bedroom was broken and would not shut fully. I hope someone from the hotel could read this and make sure that all rooms are checked fully between guests.

Usually I travel to Dubai, stay in a 4-5 star hotel yet I cannot wait to leave and explore. For this trip I was fascinated with the pictures of this hotel and for the first time I found a hotel vibe that made me truly enjoy minute of my vacation. Firstly, the location was perfect as its  behind Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, 10mins to Jumairah Beach and most important near access to Shaikh Zayid road which takes you everywhere. The hotel is hard to explain in words that it will make pictures speak!
In short when you reserve a room you get a very spacious room with one of two balcony views either the world’s tallest Burj Khalifa or a landscape of a Ras Alkhor Mangrove which was fascinating to see, I honestly spent most my evening relaxing there.
The staff were friendly to the extend during breakfast they carried my plate for me! I have never seen that in my life and I didn’t need it but thank you. My wife loved being treated like a Queen.
My advice if your staying here doesn’t miss out on the amazing lobby and Pool vibes, the lounges and last but not least the Steak and Italian restaurant which are trending like crazy and you probably you will need bookings to get in.
Tips and comments, if your going to book make sure to include breakfast its one of the best spots in Dubai and people come in weekend to enjoy it that why i would suggest going early in weekends, the valet service not answering sometimes, however if you go down they will get your car extremely fast but if your in hurry call reception and that will do the trick.
As soon as came back I reserved a room for my parents and they loved it!!!! And I’m sending all my friends there.. surly, not my last time in SLS
