Millennium Central Downtown is renowned for its prime location, making it a favorite for guests eager to explore Dubai's sights and shops. While the hotel's cleanliness and amenities generally meet expectations, opinions on the rooms are mixed; some find them well-kept and comfortable, others describe them as outdated and cramped. The staff garners compliments for their friendliness and professionalism, yet there are occasional mentions of slow service. The value of a stay here is debated among travelers, with some questioning its worth despite the commendable cleanliness.

Extremely friendly staff and smiling housekeeping. Rooms are large, a bit of old style as I guess it was an older hotel brand before. Very spacious bathroom. Restaurant food was OK however very slow service. The Dubai Mall is a brisk 15-20 minute walk or taxi is about 25 dirhams. A 24/7 grocer is behind the hotel up through the car park and there are a couple of small food shops and laundry in the office block that backs onto the hotel.

I visited Dubai in November and stayed at Millennium Central Downtown for 2 months. The Hotel had just reopened from Covid Period. I was assisted in a very polite and a professional manner starting from checking in to leaving the Hotel. Special mention to Dinesh in Front Office who took my reservation and assisted me for both months with rates and everything I needed in the room. Also, a special mention to the Egyptian Housekeeping guy (Name Unknown unfortunately) was available on call for any room service needed in the room. All in all a great stay.

I stayed here recently for just over a week and this is my honest review. It's cheap to stay here compared to other hotels in Dubai and if you just want somewhere to sleep at night then this hotel is ok I guess.

However, this was my experience. The room that I was given first had a WiFi issue. The hotel itself didn't have a WiFi issue but the room we were in had very poor WiFi coverage.

The TV did not work in my room and the safe was out of action.

The AC, although sounded like it was on, was not actually working. The temperature remained 22+ degrees at night even though it was set to 18 which made for a few uncomfortable nights.

Reported all issues and the safe was fixed but none of the other issues were.

After I complained again about the poor WiFi, they moved me to another room where there was no WiFi issue, the AC, TV and safe worked fine thankfully.

The rooms are fairly dated. The furniture is old and some of it is falling apart. Draws hanging off, veneer peeling away, etc.

Bathrooms had a lot of mold everywhere too.

The hotel appeared to have a bath towel shortage at the time of my visit. Multiple days in a row, old bath towels were removed but were never replaced with new ones and after calling room service, would drop one towel off even though there are two people in the room and they never returned when you told them you needed two towels. After this same issue happened 3 days in a row, they admitted they have a bath towel shortage but new towels have been delivered and we didn't have this issue again.

This is obviously not the fault of the hotel but I would recommend downloading the Careem app and booking your taxi's as they don't come past often. There is no Metro station nearby either.

Dubai Mall is only around a 20 minute walk away and there is a Metro Station there but that's probably another 20 minute walk from the Mall itself so transport links aren't great.

Would I stay here again? Probably not but if you just want somewhere cheap to sleep and have a quick shower in the morning and be out, then it is ok.

I have stayed in many hotels in Dubai and around the world but I couldn't find anything worse than this hotel, since the beginning of my arrival the reception staff are very rude, they confirmed my reservation 2 nights before my arrival what I want a room on the top floor but the receptionist gave me a room from the ground floors! All this is not important, and the shock was when I started searching for the refrigerator! Until I found out that there was virtually no fridge in the room and that it was empty and that the closet had an empty trash bag and some clothes hangers were not from the hotel! All this and the situation is still being discussed, but when I spoke on the phone with the receptionist named Mina, he treated me with boundless rudeness and made me feel blind and that I didn't know or knew where the fridge was! In fact, I lost my mind on the phone and the answer was that he hung up on me! And he came to me to find out he's an idiot because there's really no fridge in the room! After that, he offered me an upstairs room and a new room as a kind of apology, and I agreed because unfortunately the accommodation booking was through a company and not directly through the hotel, as the money is non-refundable. I went to the second room and confirmed the employee. Please, I don't want any more problems, but unfortunately for the second time, I was disappointed when I looked inside the cup and spoon and found traces of coffee left. The cleaning staff have no background on what the country is facing from the corona virus and this cleanliness is the least you want in the hotel to feel and with all this I called the receptionist again to tell him so that he responds and tell me he will send me a new glass! And nothing happened.. Unfortunately, this is my second day here, and I have to complete my miserable stay here. So far, no one from management has contacted me regarding all of this, nor has any kind of customer satisfaction occurred to me. I would recommend to everyone who saw this review if you really want a good stay and a good price. There are so many 3 star hotels which are better than this one.

Hesitated from where to start! We reached at night, no valet parking, we had to park our car our selves, narrow parking slots, dirty parking where we could find cockroches running around and spilled dirty water besides the construction material stacked there. So this will give you the first impression how bad your stay will be.
Old building, no refurbishment or renovation, it was obveious from the cracked yellowish marble, doors and elevator.
Though the receptionist ( the lady) was so kind and tried to help, the process to check in took too long, as she was jumping from disk to another to scan our IDs.

Going up to the room, the carpet in the corridors is stinky and full of stains, humidity smell, uncomfortable feeling before entering the room.

Inside the room, the same humidty smell, stained carpet and you can feel the the bathroom is not clean from the rusted corners and dented waste bin.

There was tooth brush and slippers, however, if you ask for any other thing, like iron , dont expect to have it before 35 minutes at least.
The water from the shower or wash basin is hard to be adjusted to the suitable temperature.. a little move will make it either too hot or cold. And even if you kept the valve as it is, the temperature is fluctuating without making any change!

On the next day we went out then came back. We found the valet parking guy. He does not understand Arabic or english.. only Urdu! And he was only one guy. So we were lucky finding him not busy.

THE DISASTER
Today, we came back ( we have two kids) at 11.30 pm and found that no house keeping was done to the room. We complained immediately , reminded them many times over the phone , then went to the reception complaining twice until the room was cleaned at 1.00 am!
It was rediculous how the the guy on the reception was too rude . I am making a complaint to the manager tomorrow for the very bad service and for the rudeness of the receptionist ( the man).

Really I would never come again to this hotel even if free.. No way to be a 4 star hotel

Not recommended at all. You know that feeling when you have to check everything if clean or not before using it.... uncomfortable

I have stayed more than a month in this hotel and I found everything appreciable
particularly I would like to share and appreciate my experience with the staff

I would say all the staff within the hotel is really too good in its honesty and dutifulness but I feel lucky to have an experience with the following staff who really served and took care of

1. Avijit - chef
Being pure vegetarian I had an issue for my break fast when he saw that I was struggling for my break fast he specially cooked veg food for snacks with such respect and affection
I have no words which can express my gratitude for him
2. Shehan and other staff at restaurant
hospitality and affection what I could receive at there are due to them
I thank them all for the same
3.Dineshbhai
I express my thankfulness to him for his special attention and services to me
I have always been assisted when I needed him
4. Jeniffer
At the reception I have always been warmly welcomed and attended by her even on call I found what she promised she did to assist me. no fake commitment.
she creates a homely environment with her smile for guests
I am impressed by her skill of multi tasking which she performs with full efficiency.
5. Amin and others
I want to convey my thank to him via this message that their surrounding has made me feel at home in this hotel
6. Hamada
I found him the most honest and dutiful in his work
he is very sincere and committed to his work
His sincere attitude towards the work has made me write about him
I really wish him bright career and future
7. Saheb
I have really been taken care of whenever I am in need of anything at room with wonderful smile and style. I appreciate his honesty and can ensure his worthiness for the hotel.
8.Yogesh - a trainee boy
This boy the way he served and has taken care of me has really inspired me to write about all. I am impressed by his energy and sincerity towards his work
in his young age he seems to be building a bright career.
9. Mani and Rinku sharma
These boys speak less but I found them focussing their work and nothing else
Their work and behaviours towards me/guests are really appreciable
10. Bilal
Recently I have been in touch with this gentleman and I like his way of attending me and taking care
I found his strong in his behaviour in his duty which really creates a very good impact on guests

Till writing this
I believe in the hospitality and attending quality of the staff
I rate my stay at the best as it was my comfortable and homely
By time I feel this hotel will be the best and most favourite for guests those who think to stay in Dubai

I thank the management and the staff for everything

Wishing all the best for the future

I advise everyone to avoid this hotel if your expectations are in British or European standard! Absolute disappointment! With similar price or slightly more could have stayed in a 5 star hotel or apartment hotels in the area and even in Jomeira! I looked into the website pictures and descriptions and I was fooled by it all! Don’t fall into views and it’s closeness to Dubai mall! Terribly noisy 24/27 hours days/nights as there is a giant power station with 6 giant engines that works 24 hours just next to the hotel and with the noise and so much smoke it ruined the view and my experience in Dubai. I booked for a room with king size bed but was a double size very small space in the room and not clean! I couldn’t have slept because of noise ! They moved me to a business class room and they said the power engine would stopped over the night and the floor was a few higher so would be very quiet but that was a lie! I supposed to have my fried from Abu Dhabi staying with me but too embarrassing for her so she had to book her somewhere else! Very low standard, outdated, not so cleaned, super busy no good service in any thing and poor facilities. So many construction works around! Too difficult and confusing to find the hotel. Too expensive for such a low standard hotel.

Stayed there quite sometimes back in Feb this year, and can't wait to be back. First of all this hotel is located in a very ideal place where all facilities comes to you. We arrived very early morning, tired with 6 hours flight from our home country and we knew that we had to wait for the check in time. But fortunately all the worries and difficulties we thought we might be facing, it was all vanished once we entered the hotel.

Very welcoming personnel right from the entrance. Check-in was done very professionally, with no waiting time, always smiling and cautious. Here we met Mr. Bikash, the Asst. Front Office Manager of the hotel, this gentleman deserves even more than an Assistant. So caring, responsible, Bikash just resolves all our problems and worries we had in mind for our short stay in Dubai.

The room was great, very comfortable. The restaurant, food was just perfect. All the facilities in the hotel were great.

The rest of all the personnel was also very welcoming. Great management team.

Thank you, everyone, we will be back soon for a longer period.

Thank you again, Mr. Bikash, you really rock.

Siva

I had checked in December 22nd, 2020 and right of the bat, had terrible customer service. Firstly, the receptionist, Mohammed, was not wearing his mask properly and was extremely distracted. He had been text messaging and attending other customers all the while checking me in! Next, he told me that he needed payment information and I already told him that I had added in my credit card information and also emailed the hotel back confirming this (I still have that email). He still took my credit card and before I could even say anything else, swiped it. Now, you can only imagine the international fee I would be charged, I did not even get to know the total charge prior to this.
Later, I entered the room, it was a complete and utter disappointment. There was no sanitized sticker on the door and the room smelled terrible and was very dirty. I later went down to inform the receptionist of this and he handed me another room key. This room did not even have an electric kettle and I had asked the receptionist to get me one but he never did. Also, this room was only slightly cleaner than the last room.
I had also asked him about the WiFi network when I was checking in and he told me about only one network. I have to work remotely at odd timings and I could not find the network that he informed me of so I had to leave the premise to find WiFi only to find out later that there was room network Wi-Fi.
Finally, the next day, I complained to the manager of the hotel, Bikesh and he told me he would upgrade me to Business class. So after 2 hours of waiting in my room, I had finally gotten the Business class and I was promised a better experience along with a better view. The room is slightly bigger, smells better but it’s still a disappointment. I see stains in the bathroom and the room, the kettle smells disgusting, the mug has dust and someone’s hair in it... I was expecting better customer service and rooms from a four star hotel, especially during COVID time. I have experienced better service and had cleaner rooms in three star hotels!
The final few days, Mr Bikesh had promised me suite room and kept his word and also offered me breakfast. The suite room was big and had an okay view. However, the shower was not clean, the ceilings looked moldy and looked like a chunk of ceiling was going to fall off. The entertainment options sucked and the only useful app, Youtube, was not even working on the TV. And getting room service when I actually wanted was a hassle! There were 2 times where staff just barged into the room when I had yelled out to wait a minute.... this whole staying experience had way more downs than ups.
I would not recommend this hotel for a 4 star hotel...

I have done a research to find the ideal long term stay in Dubai and I found Millennium Central Downtown lucky me! Mr. Bikash in the front dest basically is the one to thank for everything as he accommodated me from the first time and also gave me the best price ever. I stayed there for 3 months and it has been the best experience. The location is perfect, near everything in downtown, the basement parking so convenient (and you always find a free space), the room very big for a standard one, too much space to put my luggage, huge closets and plenty of drawers. Very clean, quiet and with a magical view (I was on the 18th floor).

Sorry for the late replay. I don’t think they will refuse to keep your luggage for a few hours. Most of the hotels do. Not sure about the smoking rooms, as well but you might wanna ask the receptionist and I believe yes, they do have smoking rooms. Good luck!
