I like sands restaurant more than other restaurants. Jeevan from sands restaurant very good guy 💯👍👍👍👍👍and i like him. I spend a lot of time with him. We took all inclusive package, and it is better for me because i am with my family. I will recommend this hotel for family hotel.🤗
Where do I start with reviewing the wonderful Centara Mirage Resort…? We had prebooked the hotel prior to its opening in October and knew we was taking a risk as with anything new they are bound to have teething issues… However, we took the plunge and booked. Once opened we had read several horrific issues customers had faced especially when being on holiday and all you want is for your resort to be perfect, however what didn’t help was that the world was in lockdown and people’s expectations of getting away on a vacation would have been set their own personal standards very high, and quite understandably… We arrived just prior to Christmas, and I don’t think I can explain how relieved we had felt to not only get away as a family after such a difficult 24 months but to also be greeted with smiles the minute we walked in. We were greeted as soon as the taxi stopped at the entrance of the resort and luggage was taken care of and I was able to be seen by a receptionist right away, the lobby was striving with life which was lovely to see but also with precaution of mask wearing which was comforting to see (especially not being on a vacation in over 2 years!) I had emailed the hotel prior to advice that we were visiting to celebrate my birthday and originally had booked the Superior King View – City view (with sofa bed for the kids). Which we felt was a good size for a family with a 3yo and 7yo however since we wanted the best and thought it’s been so long since we went away, we upgraded to the Mirage Superior Room with Bunk Beds and oh my was this a beautiful room (if you can upgrade go for it!) It was perfect the kids had more breathing space, with wonderful bunk beds, a walk-in shower, a chaise lounge and of course a balcony with a beautiful sea view. The A/C in the room was excellent, silent, and powerful. Everything as you can expect was new, and the room was perfect for me and my family. The plugs in the room where UK 3 pin Plug sockets so perfect for chargers, and WIFI in room you could not fault. One of the great perks of the technology of the room was that you could cast your mobile phone or tablet to the TV, this was simply genius as the when we wanted downtime after a day at the pool you could cast YouTube from your phone on to the TV and the kids would get their downtime while we say on the balcony as the sun set… simply perfect. The only recommendation I’d make is they increase the amount of storage space so you wouldn’t need to live out of a suitcase. A massive shout out to the following gentleman who daily made our room look fresh and clean just like we had walked in the first time, they worked endlessly, and always with a smile to provide more towels, water etc if we needed it Great team of the 6th floor, big shout out to – - Vaneet - Ram - Sunil - MD Sujon The corridors were very well lit and kept clean all the time which smelt great of a typical Arabian floral scent I always noticed staff all day keeping the maintenance high of the public areas whether it be cleaning the floors to railings to furnishings around all areas , the hotel had two lots of lifts with 5 lifts on each side which I felt was a good amount of lifts to cater for the hotel, the lifts again were fast, prompt and clean with sanitiser stations in each lift which was a very nice touch. The pool areas had a great amount of sun beds, however as you may had read in other reviews majority (90%) of these sun beds around the pool area are in the shade while there were approx. 30 sunbeds that where in the sun. and it was a first come first serve basis so as you can expect you had some guests that would wake up at the crack of dawn get to the towel counter with their towel cards then lay down their belongings along with their towels so they would be taken by them for the day. The sunbeds in the shade didn’t seem to matter for many locals that visited however for us who are away on holiday for sunshine this was a big thing. Nevertheless, there an absolutely ample number of sunbeds for everyone in the sun, setup with two sunbeds with an umbrella in-between was a great setup and I personally felt if you want a little more personal space and quite days then the beach sunbeds were perfect. They also had a great bouncy castle setup for kids and a new adventure pool that had been erected as a trial I believe to see how popular it was, I found both very good and my kids enjoyed them very much. Lastly the beach… which was tranquil with such gentle waves I’d never been in a calmer sea. The water was clear and was never overcrowded. Lifeguards were also on duty from very early in the morning I noticed which is always good for the folks who’d like to take a dip very early in the morning. Moreover, the slides at the hotel are great and where not too overwhelming for my 7yo who can’t swim 100% confidently however my 3yo was not so into the slides so didn’t spend much time here also noting it purely is for slides no pool as such. The lazy river on the other hand both my children spend a number of hours a day here, they thoroughly enjoyed it as the water current would drive them around the river it was effortless to enjoy some fun times with the kids here, really fun! Lastly, I should mention there is also an adult’s pool which is small and secluded at the end of the hotel if you are on vacay without kids I’d recommend you check it out. We of course didn’t spend much time here but still nice and hidden away from the bustling noise of kids having fun. I'd also like to mention that the main pool was heated which was great, and the kids pool was also heated, however the other pools was not, and when having conversations with staff the other pools where in the process of having heat pumps added which will make a difference especially in the colder months in Dubai. Suan Bua – Buffett Restaurant – This was the main restaurant of the resort, and no reservation was required to dine here, Breakfast, lunch and dinner was served here. When we had arrived, we were given our all-inclusive bands and we was allowed to go down for lunch while our room was still getting made (it was 1pm when we checked in) and the number of food items on offer was impressive especially their salads and desserts, I’d noticed they typically had around 6 different curries and with a choice of noodles or rice. Myself being a vegetarian I was somewhat worried that food maybe a challenge however I was warmly greeted by a head chef who was on duty that afternoon and with a smile he advised if I’d like ANY dish to be made without meat / seafood he can freshly prepare it for me daily. This was absolute music to my ears, and I honestly was so very thrilled to know how nice the staff at the resort would most likely be just from talking to the head chef. I honestly couldn’t ask for more… Note the Suan Bua restaurant cater for adults and children however the adult’s menu daily is normally focused on the Thai cuisine however note the dishes are not spicy unless you ask for extra spice! All round VERY delicious food with EXCELLENT staff ALWAYS willing to help, weather it is asking for something that’s not on offer to ordering drinks and receiving a prompt service even when the restaurant is really busy. I honestly feel the staff at this restaurant where excellent, and you could really see it was a team effort to make the operation as smooth as possible. The bar man Jones was super-fast at any request come a latte, cocktail, mocktail. Didar was also a very super attentive helpful member of staff ALWAYS ready to help and run to provide guests with the most prompt helpful service, with a smile. Every staff was helpful that serviced this restaurant however unfortunately I had forgotten half their names as there are so many! Sands Restaurant / Bar – This restaurant had a more bistro feel to it and an al-a-carte menu which guests could order from, it had a lovely outdoor area overlooking the beach with sofa seating and table and chairs, a great place for an evening drink with patio heaters illuminating the patio area and feature lighting around the walkways. The restaurant would serve the best stone baked pizzas I’d ever had along with French fries, salads, and super yummy ice creams! The staff here where simply the best in no order I’d like to give the biggest shout out to these individuals who without would not have made my holidays what it was as I truly believe customer service should be at the heart of everything and these amazing folks certainly was able to provide that throughout my stay – Miss you guys! - Suro - Ten - Jeevan - Binod - Rahul - Restaurant Manager (Greek Gentleman, forgot his name!) - Rajesh - Faizal What a fantastic team, a massive Kudos to you all great individuals and even better team together I really hope we met again! I must not forget that this team were also the team that would work hard all day to take orders from guests using the sun beds near the pool and then bring out whatever you ordered. Not once did I find the service to ever slack in time, they were ALWAYS able to remember your order and provide you an update if there was an issue at any time. Sheesh – What a superb setup, great dinning space, quiet and personal with a balcony on both sides where guests can have a drink and do Shisha if they wished to. Sheesh is a Lebanese restaurant which has a an al-a-cart menu for guest to choose from, since we was on all inclusive, understandably not everything was under AI, again as we was vegetarian we had an absolutely amazing experience here as not only were the waiters so kind, helpful and attentive the Head chef was super, he personally came out to discuss what vegetarian options he could make for us that day from his fresh ingredients, his name was Joseph and I’ll never forget the dishes he cooked for us that evening ! our table was practically full of so many dishes we enjoyed it so much we went back again for following week of our trip and he was able to even cook an Asian daal as my son was missing Indian food from back home! – What more could a parent ask for from a hotel! Joseph, I want to thank you very much for your great service you provided us, the food was fantastic, especially the Baklava! Uno Mas – Unfortunately since we are vegetarian, we didn’t eat at Uno Mas as it was more catered around an Argentinian Grill serving various meats. However, I’d like to give a big shout out to Jayesh (Head Chef) as he was kind enough to provide my son some garlic bread from the restaurant that was served at Uno Mas since they didn’t have it at Suan Bua which is practically next to Uno Mas. Waves Bar – Great little bar that is not highlighted enough, it’s close to the beach and you got to walk around the small wooden bridges to get there but great cocktails and chill out if you wish to have pre drinks before dinner again with lovely staff who couldn’t do more for you. In the day they also serve Ice slush drinks for the kids which no other restaurant / bar does! So, you much check it out in the day too. We used the Waves bar majority of the time we sat on the beach as it was easier to reach to and it also had a set of restrooms right beside it. Safari Camp – Kids club catered for 3yo plus – This club offered such a superb service, they would provide 3 hours a day of childcare within the venue itself not outside, and it had several activities including daily interactive activities for kids to do lead by staff. Both my kids thoroughly enjoyed it very much my kids would typically spend 2-3 hours a day here after lunch which would not only keep them entertained but also give myself and my wife 3 hours of downtime which was absolute bliss!!! – Again, what more could you ask for, my kids still talk about Safari Camp today and we’ve been back almost 2 weeks. Big shout out to the team here, always smiling and happy to see my kids they knew their names and it was heart-warming every time we’d walk in the staff would call my children by their name and they felt comfortable around them. The hotel also offered a shuttle service to two destination The Dubai Mall - 30 AED per person return Souk Al Murfa (large indoor market of boutique shops selling various thing - Free service Lastly, I want to give a very big shout out to Brett and Yuliy. Brett your support and help with literally any request I had you was able to provide me the best service any guest could ask for. Honestly a true asset to the Centara chain as a whole and a great inspirational leader for others at your resort. Thank you very much for everything. Yuliy, again, it was lovely to meet you in person after exchanging a few emails prior to my visit and you have done a wonderful job in training your staff to serve your guests with the best service possible. A huge thank you to you also for everything you had done to make our vacation that extra special. Really appreciate it. Lastly thank you to ALL the members of Centara Mirage for making our long overdue family vacation a one we will always remember! Kudos to you all. Love from your guests in room 678!!…

Centara Mirage is a great family hotel with a lot of entertainments for kids of any age. A few restaurants with a different choice of delicious food. Their own beach with a warm and tender sea.
