We had a lovely three nights onboard the QE2. The room was small but clean and adequate with everything we needed. We took the half board option which was excellent value for money with breakfast and evening meal. The staff are smart and helpful and Brendan was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and passionate on the complimentary heritage tour of the ship. All in all a lovely stay as a base whilst in Dubai. The ship is quite a way from the main city and there is little if any public transport nearby so taxis are the order of the day, which are clean regular and inexpensive, use the official city taxi’s (coloured roofs) and not Uber as they are cheaper. The staff indicated there was a buggy service available for a marina tour, we thought we would take advantage of a tour around the marina, however this was not how the buggy driver saw it, it indicated it was a service from A to B to a specific boat or shop which was a bit disappointing, we took the buggy to one end of the marina and walked back. There is a lot of roadworks going on in the proximity to where the QE2 is berthed, once complete this should improve transport links. The area is up and coming with new hotels being built, I’m sure in a few years this will be another shines bustling area of Dubai. Our stay on QE2 was enjoyable, there is a theatre with shows on from time to time and the afternoon tea look great however at the moment that is only on certain days of the week so we didn’t get to experience it. If you get the chance at the right price, stay here, it’s unique and a great experience.

We had an absolutely amazing tour of the ship with Brendan Russel Clarke today. It's just sensational! Brendan is a walking encyclopedia and knows everything about the history of the ship. The tour could have been 24 hours longer - it was so exciting, entertaining and educational. 100% recommendation! Thank you Brendan - today was a highlight of our holiday here in Dubai!

We had a one night stay at QE2 during Eid holiday break and it was worth it! From the check in, where we meet Ms. Paola, she explained all details required and gave us a late check out. Thank you so much. We requested a sea view side, a day before we checked in and we're happy that they granted our request in a short notice. The room size is good for 2 persons and the housekeeping team gave all the required amenities whenever we called them. Our staycation is a relaxing stay with breakfast (which offers a wide variety of International food). We felt that we are inside a museum when we toured in the hotel which is an informative and unique experience. Overall, it was a beautiful experience and highly recommended!

5th time in Dubai first time on QE2, definitely bucket list 👌 Team outstanding service everything you would expect " thank you " Food , experienced breakfast and evening meal, everything you can ask for, evening meal Selection very good. Now the opportunities that would improve our experience and maybe others, to navigate around the ship and even returning to your room or getting to the restaurants is nothing but a " shambles" everyone we met had the same concerns, the lifts are not easy to use! I would have concerns In the event of an evacuation and obviously not using the lifts to be very problematic. Each lift should have a route displayed to navigate the current format does not make any sense, Facilities on board are poor / none 😐 no shops all empty units, no casino all machines not switched on, no entertainment except each Saturday which you need to pay approx +£70 each, there is no outdoor pool, in fact no outdoor sun lounger areas, this i found really frustrating as we had to leave the ship each day to go to the beach or shopping etc, however they do provide a free shuttle each day to limited areas and only once a day, with a first come first served basis on a 12 seater mini bus, There is nothing on the ship or surrounding area to entertain children, QE2 is not child friendly 😉 The area around the vessel is undergoing major construction so access to anywhere on foot isnt an option, however we did manage to work our way through the Harris fencing and walk the marina, which itself is still under construction. On the QE2 we were told we have access to most of the ship, however the ship is undergoing refresh we found most doors locked ( concerns relating to escape routes) you had access to other floors but not really anything to see 😉 the on board convenience shop is now a museum. This is not a self catering holiday, other than. Leaving the ship ( taxi ) you can only eat at the restaurants on board. ( which are great 👍 ) WiFi is intermittent and not available on balcony or external areas. Our room, captain room with balcony is very comfortable and modern, the balcony however needs refreshing peeling paint and poor condition decking including lamp not working and broken Deck chair. The room is serviced daily with fresh towels and complimentary water. The kingsize bed is comfy 😴 The History of the Ship is fascinating info in reception adjacent to the vessel. We stayed 7 nights on reflection maybe 2 or even 1 night is enough.
Bit like the pyramids tick off the bucket list, we actually stayed on the QE2 albeit Dubai and didn't sail on it but we have dine it " tick "
Super attentive team 👏

Dear Briand, Thank you for your detailed feedback on your recent stay aboard the QE2. We're thrilled to hear that you found it a bucket list-worthy experience and appreciated our team's outstanding service, as well as the quality of the food during your stay. It's also wonderful that you found the history of the QE2 fascinating and enjoyed the comfort of your Captain's Room. That said, we truly value your constructive comments and observations about the ship's facilities and navigation challenges. Your suggestion to enhance navigation through clear lift signage is insightful, and we understand your concerns about the lifts and escape routes. Similarly, the lack of outdoor amenities and entertainment options for children has been duly noted, and we will review how we can improve these areas to ensure a more enjoyable experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding regarding the ongoing construction around the vessel and the ship's refresh projects. We are committed to maintaining the QE2's legacy while enhancing the guest experience. Your honest reflections help us identify opportunities for growth, and we hope that, despite the challenges, your time on the QE2 was a memorable addition to your travels. Thank you for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back for an improved experience in the future. QE2 Management Team

We stayed at the hotel from February 11 to February 22, 2025. The hotel didn't live up to expectations. The location itself is terrible, there's one building around the hotel. All the attractions and beaches need a long drive. The submitted photos of rooms on the sites represent only 10 percent. Most of the rooms are so small, there's more room in the can. The windows don't open, the room doesn't ventilate, it's always stuffy, we had to sit with the door open to ventilate. About cleaning and cleanliness of the room: once, then well cleaned, then just mud. Windows are smudged, there is dust in the corners, bed linen was sometimes stained, “clean” towels were brought with hair and only 2 towels were given for two, we had to beg. We had breakfast on, at the entrance to the dining room the girl marks from which room, sometimes there was such a line that they stood for 10-15 minutes; without this mark you could not enter. The breakfast buffet is quite varied and delicious, but again, a stack of clean dishes somehow caught a fat plate. The hotel has a free shuttle service that only takes and brings you once a day at 10:00 to the beach and at 16:00 from the beach and at 11:00 to Dubai Mall, the shuttle is a mini bus, with a capacity of 12 people, not entirely reasonable for a hotel with so many rooms and accommodation. When checking in we were offered to pay 15000p for the sea view, you can't see, the rooms will be the same with small and closed windows, it's not worth it. Separately I want to write about Yandex travel, as booked through their app. I called twice and asked if the tax was included in the price or not, I was assured twice that it was included, when we checked in we were charged this tax, as it turned out in fact the tax is NOT INCLUDED.

Just back after 3 nights in a Captains Cabin with balcony. It was strange as you approach knowing you are not going anywhere but what a stunning view.
Check in was quick and easy our journey to the room 808 on SI deck was intriguing but with a lovely guy from the concierge who was so helpful. He had been there a month originally Syria but knew everything.
Room was excellent for the three of us clean and just nice. Constant water on request.
Loved the sun deck and just the general atmosphere.
Food … Golden Lion was great the food was of a very high quality can recommend the burgers superb. Loved the half price drinks from 5-8pm. Plus the Haris who was in charge along with his staff were so friendly and really good to chat with. The lido for breakfast was excellent great choice plus we had the Ramadan Buffet for 159AED what great value and choice.
Location is excellent as a base cabs are cheap plus you can walk to the creek to get to the gold spice etc and eat by the creek.
Overall if you get a chance stay it’s excellent value for money and the staff are friendly rooms excellent.
The only downside was that we got lost a lot maybe an app or a map could be supplied. But it made it fun finding our way back😂to our room.
Go you will not be disappointed it’s part of history.
Footnote our flight was delayed for 14 hours but we were able to extend for an extra night in the same room so we ended up with a four night stay.

We planned to go as 4 families for Eid and contacted customer service. It was too poor a service. What they have mentioned online is different. After I booked they sent a message that breakfast and dinner is for 2 adults only and not children. When I sent the screenshot , later they edited it online. And for that service they should ideally compensate by including the dinner and breakfast for them too. And again the next day in WhatsApp they mentioned different rooms with different package with food for all 4 ppl but again they refused it’s a wrong message. For booking of 4 families , I have invested 2-3 hrs calling them , messaging them , mailing them and no resolution given. Ms.jacqueline was kind enough to find a solution but it was too late by then. It’s a horrible service and the rate went high after I booked and it seems they want me to cancel the lower rate and they increased the price for somebody else due to high demand. We working in a corporate planned our event of 60 ppl coming here too later which I had to cancel now due to this experience. Highly recommended to avoid for families. Maybe for a couple it can work. My first ever bad review for a hotel in lifetime

Experiencing this hotel in person is totally different from looking at it or reading about it online. I made reservation online, but it is not recommended at all. Better doing it directly and one gets ACCOR points too thru it. We arrived around noon expecting some difficulty with the reservation. The reception manager was very understanding and was kind enough to give us an upgrade, and that was a sweet one. Even tho they don’t provide any info on the rooms or the ship-turned-hotel, they are all supplied with all the basics (tv, wi fi, coffee/tea water boiler w 2 medium- size mugs, small refrigerator and 4 bottles of water (2 in the refrigerator). If asked, toiletries, cloth slippers and a bath robe could be provided. The housekeeping was fast in response and efficient in their work. An extra folding bed was supplied (the room could accommodate one) upon our request. We toured the upper decks where there is a small balcony overlooking the city side. We went to see the menu at the Lido and i was pleasantly surprised and impressed, and already eyed several items to have for dinner. The description and the prices were fine but the actual dishes and the taste of everything made me ecstatic. I even asked for the chef who was gracious and humble, and i commended him on his meticulousness in all he did (the dessert was done by a separate chef and superb too). The wine selection was good too, a multinational in each category). Few things were worth mentioning to the staff, will mention them here: the parking lot is not covered, leaving one’s car out in the sweltering heat ; the online description should list what the rooms have & have not so as one prepares self and brings what he/she/them likes to have. At this time of year, it is now uncrowded and not noisy, making one’s stay as enjoyable as it could be. Would i recommend it to others or come back again? Most definitely.

This is a wonderful place to stay if , like us you like a bit of nostalgia . We stayed in a Captain Room Balcony and it was very reasonably priced for Dubai . The only reason I only gave 4 stars was that there was 24 hour a day , lift type music playing around the ship including outside and we could hear this in our room throughout the night . It wasn’t a huge problem but more of a niggle . Not sure why it couldn’t be turned off over night ? I did question with reception but they just said it runs 24/7 and nothing they could do . Breakfast Buffet in the lido is excellent . We also did the heritage tour , a few hiccough with the booking but a very apologetic Brendan then proceeded to give us a very informative and entertaining tour of the ship. He is very passionate and knowledgeable and has great plans for the future as the venue continues to grow . We found the location very good although there is road construction going on at the moment it wasn’t intrusive . It’s an easy walk to Dubai Creek and the concierge staff were really helpful in organising taxis for us . Thoroughly recommend a stay here for a truly memorable and historic experience .

A wonderful hotel that my wife and I were able to visit on vacation. The most polite staff, who helped and supported us in every possible way during every minute of our stay at the hotel. At the airport, during the flight, our suitcase was damaged, some technical liquid got into it and the whole suitcase and things got wet. The hotel staff helped quickly and quickly put things in order, for which special thanks to them! The breakfast at the hotel was also very tasty every morning. During breakfast they managed to clean the room completely, carefully leaving and replacing everything we needed.
I would especially like to note and thank the manager at the reception, Tharuka, who stepped into the situation and helped us very quickly extend our stay, taking into account the late check-out, since our plane departed only in the evening and in addition to the hotel with our things, we would simply have to sit somewhere in the city with suitcases waiting for a flight until late in the evening!
