We spent 4 days/3 nights as a Family (a couple with 2 kids) in a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite.
The Suite was nicely decroted and well equipped with all what we need. Expresso Machine + Partial Sea view + a lot of Space in both the bedroom and the living room + Nice tasteful colours of furniture & lights.
The Pool area just next to the beach was well organized and very clean. The Azur Beach Restaurant and Café serves a high-quality nicely flavoured Shisha as well.
The Housekeeping was one of the best we had in comparison to many 5-star luxury hotels that we've been in during the last 7 years. Everbody will make his best to make sure that the hotel guests are satisfied.
We had breakfast 3 times in the "Terquoise" main restaurant of the hotel. It was fabulous. Delicious, carefully chosen products with a wide variety of choices. The kids enjoyed some "Cotton Candy" Ice cream by the end of their breakfast meals. The staff working in the restaurant never delayed in taking care of each table especially those tables with families and kids.
The location of the hotel in the middle of the JBR area was fantastic. We were surrounded by a lot of nice, well known restaurants and Cafes. Choices for dinner and lunch inside the hotel or in the JBR neighbourhood were sooo many.
Besides, the big smile and the friendly attitude of the front desk staff was a souce of joy and comfort that made us feel like home. Thank you Asal and Bibin.
Finally, my family and I would like to thank Mr. Salman Khan (Manger of the Guest Relations) for the hospitality and the unique experience he made us live in Rixos JBR. Special Regrds to Mr. Sandy and Mr. Monir (Managers of Front Desk and VIP Guests) who were just amazing and super courteous. This wonderful competent team of Rixos Hotel would definitely never let any guest down. Zero Mistakes :-)
Due to covid situation the hotel practices a no-contact check in which is commendable. You sign digitally in the Ipad and you yourself gets your room key to be programmed. Social Distancing and Wearing of Mask within the Hotel area is highly imposed. I would like to say Thank you and well done to Ahmed who welcomed and checked me in.
Also, upon reaching the room you will see a sticker that says “The room has been sanitized for your safety”. The room was really clean and fresh, well done to the Housekeeping Team.
The towels for the beach you can request from Housekeeping and they bring it to your room sealed in a plastic.
It is really comforting to know that everyone’s safety is the priority of this hotel.
Well done to the team and I will surely be back.
The supermarket is also a short walk along with the Jumeirah Walk where you can find a lot of shops and restaurants.
NEVER use the hotel taxi. We were ripped off twice and after that we always used the local taxis which were over half the price cheaper.
On check in the reception staff were so rude telling us that the room we had paid for wasn't available. After several hours of trying to sort out a room it magically became available again.
They charge £6 for a bottle of water around the pool but get free bottles provided in your room on a daily basis.
The pool staff check what room you are in and one day we brought some drinks and snacks from the supermarket to be told that we were not allowed them but to be ripped off even more by their hideous prices.
WATER should be provided for free around the pool area considering the heat in Dubai. This is the only hotel I have stayed in Dubai that has charged residents for water. Totally disgusting.
The room was amazing with lovely views of the beach.
Toiletries were provided in the room along with a coffee machine, fruit and cake die to birthday celebrations.
Our toilet did not work properly for the entire time of our holiday and reported it everyday.
On check out we told them as the reception staff just didn't seem bothered.
The Turquoise restaurant provided a good selection of food for breakfast and dinner but sometimes the food could be cold as being left on hot plates which obviously weren't that hot.
On arrival they gave everyone a mask which majority of people weren't wearing to be told one day to put my mask on but everyone else wasnt wearing one.
Either provide masks to enforce everyone to wear or don't bother!
There was an amazing gym at the hotel which looked over the pool and beach. It was very well equipped and was never too busy.
We attended STK steakhouse one night for Ladies night and the food was great.
3 course dinner and 5 drinks for £50.
Lock stock and barrel is also in the hotel and is open until 3am. Really good atmosphere and music but people were allowed to smoke indoors which was totally off putting so we all left.
Overall a good hotel but would be even better if the reception staff were told about good customer service.
Would like to thank the pool/towel staff and also the bellboy as they were always helpful and very happy.
The hotel is modern and caters to all families, couples and solo travellers, the decor is nice and the view from our room is spectacular.
Location wise this was perfect for us as it gave us options to walk to restaurants close by and also the metro is not to far away. However taxis are always outside the hotel, because we travelled with our boys we used the hotels car to travel to the creek which was needed due to two car seats. Although unsure if it is accepted to hold babies on laps whilst in cars but we didn’t take the chance.
Staff are always on hand and attentive. If you want a sun loungers it is beneficial to be up early but good luck. The azure hotel food was lovey and can fully recommend.
We will definitely be back in the future.
Then, coming from nowhere they send you a new email asking your credit card details, except, this time the price increase by 2000 AED / adult and 1000 AED / child to "offer" you a mandatory/compulsory gala diner. WTF ?!
From there you're trapped. If you don't enter your credit card info again then your room is canceled and you'll be charged in full because they consider it as you cancel or a no show. So you fight or you pay this crazy amount for a diner you're forced to take.
A complete scam ! Run away !
