In August I stayed at this hotel, 11 days, enough days to describe this hotel. First, the price is very affordable. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean, the bathroom is hygenic , airconditioning, the refrigerator you can to use it. The view from the window are beautiful. Regarding the night you can sleep in peace must take into account that the hotel is located near a plaza is therefore noise is normal but these noises go away over night, so you can sleep. The service we offer is very natural and very helpful at any time tell you anything you need and help you smoothly. They are attentive and have a smile in the morning. The breakfast is very good is soft. the price is very good because it includes breakfast. For these reasons I have explained to me is a second home. It is very important to the material description of the hotel but if we have a good service our stay will be better pleasant. finally you could rate this hotel as I have done if you go to hotels with stars or more expensive and you will see that the bathroom walls, beds will be bad for a price a very expensive, not to say the name of the hotels because it is bad education. but sometimes the simple is best and not luxurious.

Our experiences in this Hotel were poor. It was the staff who were totally unconcerned that made it worse. Only Ahmed who although ill tried to make our stay comfortable.
The entire hotel particularly the Entrance and the dining are are in a total disarray, there is stuff thrown in all over the place. The place was dusty and the sofas did not even have a covers and we sat on foam in the heat.
Our room needed a coat of paint. The room and the beds were clean, although the after a shower the bathroom flooded. However, what was amazing was the location and the view of the Mediterranean which was almost touching the room. Amazing.
The most disgusting part of Hotel Transit was the staff rude and uncouth totally at odds with the extreme hospitality of the Egyptian people.
This place seemed more for longtime residents but that is not an excuse for the rudeness of the staff and the owner.

I will be blatantly frank: I will not return to the Transit Hotel. The service is extremely slow (we waited almost for 40 minutes to be checked-in), the room and bathroom were dirty (the toilet leaked), breakfast was quite unsatisfactory (it consisted only of bread and tea) and the staff was incredibly unhelpful when it came to resolving issues with their customers (I returned later in the morning to collect something I had forgotten and it took them more than 20 minutes to tell me where it was, even though I had already called before to alert them).
It is a shame, because this hotel has potential, as it is cheap and central and rooms have access to private balconies with beautiful views of the sea and the surroundings, but I am sure that I shall never return there.

This hotel could not be in a better position,it is within easy reach of almost everything you will want to see.The hotel is clean well run and is value for money. It is a little difficult to find, but with help from the hotel Cecil we found it just around the corner up on the fourth floor. There is a lift and it works most of the time,it is the oldest and most broken down one i have ever seen. All in all an excellent stay.

Great location, bright, clean rooms, great view. Staff were very helpful.
The room we had viewed the water. Free wifi. Good breakfast. The lift up to the hotel was great, no climbing stairs with our bags. Close to lots of food choices. Will definitely stay again. TV and fridge in the room was an added bonus. Price was excellent. It is in busy Alexandria, so take ear plugs, but well worth the stay.

This hotel is the only place i stay whenever i come to Alexandria
The entire place is very clean, comfortable and relaxing
even with the noise outside, which; if you are in Egypt, you get used to
i find the environment quite relaxing and with only a 2 minute walk to the seaside,
it gives the perfect atmosphere for a great visit.
The staff are very kind and friendly and i consider them to be most trustworthy,
unlike other places I've stayed at... i consider the staff more like members of my family, then just workers.
In all the places I've stayed at in Egypt, The transit has the most comfortable beds ever
outside of very expensive hotels...and the prices are very reasonable for a great place without any insects :)
I wish for this place the greatest Blessings...with Love

I'm not sure where the picture was taken to accompany the hotel's ad but it definitely wasn't the room I had. Nothing in the bathroom worked; the staff neglected to tell me that the water needed to be turned on to get the toilet to function. The furniture was well worn. The rickety elevator to reach the hotel was the original cage type perhaps a century old. I'm not sure what kind of hotels the other reviewers have stayed in but this was perhaps the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I live in Turkey and stayed in many budget type hotels there, and none were ever in this poor condition. I discovered that there are no good mid-range hotels in Alexandria. A block away is the Cecil which is the expensive alternative.

We stayed one night. Approach to the hotel is terrible. Every thing look very dirty & dusty. I guess they wash bed linen & towels, but still looks pretty dirty in that dusty environment. We stayed in the Deluxe room ( no idea why they call it Deluxe !!!! ) & for us it was a nightmare.
Bathroom is so dirty & smelly.
Only good thing we can say about this place is the young staff at the front desk. They are friendly & very helpful.
