We stayed for two nights at Hotel Garden and had a great stay. The hotel staff is very polite, friendly and eager to help. The in-house restaurant is very good; the menu is filled with delicious plates and the service was superb!

I’m so impressed with my stay at the Garden Hotel in Kosovo. The hotel is very beautiful with lovely decor especially at Christmas time. It is good location near to the downtown centre, shops and Christmas markets. We also went nearby to a bear sanctuary. The staff were extremely helpful and the food in the hotels restaurant was so fresh and the pasta better than Italy! Really amazed by the restaurant and also the breakfast. Apparently the chef has been there for 18 years and you can tell a lot of love is put into the food. The spa was also lovely and the Thai massage we had was excellent.

We were here for business for a few weeks and this is advertised as a 5 star hotel which it is not. First off every single hotel employee was very friendly, polite, and courteous. Each room has its own thermostat to control the room temperature but these are definitely useless. I had issues with my room temperature and the whole hotel is either set to heating or air conditioning. My room was 35 degrees Celsius, or 95 degrees Fahrenheit. They told me there is nothing they could do. I opened my windows to cool it down and got eaten alive by mosquitos. Mostly the room was 23 degrees Celsius, still way too hot for me and the thermostat pad would not turn the temperature down since the whole hotel was set to heat only. The bed was the hardest I have ever slept on and have traveled extensively around the world; I might as well have slept on the floor. There was nowhere to relax in the room, the desk chair was equal to a fold up banquet chair. There is no currency conversion at the front desk, no ATM on site, or no computers with a printer in the lobby or anywhere on the premises. There was nothing around this hotel, it was a 20 minute walk to the nearest restaurant or store.

If you're a family with young children, **avoid Garden Hotel at all costs**. Our experience was far from family-friendly, and it was clear that this hotel does not prioritize the well-being or enjoyment of guests with kids.

At the outdoor pool area, we were instructed to sit at the back because the music was deemed "too loud for children." The reason given was that the area was filled with **20-something singles** indulging in expensive champagne and other alcohol, with little regard for families. To make matters worse, many of these younger guests weren't even staying at the hotel. The pool area was littered with bottles, creating a hazardous environment, and the music was blaring, making it impossible for us to relax or keep an eye on our children.

The **management’s attitude was incredibly dismissive**. When I politely asked if the music could be turned down slightly, my request was not only ignored, but I was also met with rudeness that left me shocked. The **arrogance of the management** was astounding, and they seemed completely disconnected from what was happening around the pool. Their only concern was catering to the younger crowd who were spending money on drinks, with **no consideration for families**.

In addition to these issues, the **parking situation at the hotel is a nightmare**. It’s overcrowded and chaotic. On one occasion, our exit was blocked by two cars belonging to people who weren’t even staying at the hotel. The security and reception staff were running around like headless chickens for about an hour, trying to find the owners of the cars. There seemed to be no real systems in place to prevent these problems, and the staff offered no solutions to the inconvenience caused.

In summary, if you're looking for a place where your children can enjoy a safe and comfortable environment, Garden Hotel is definitely not it. They are solely focused on creating a party atmosphere for younger guests, with **no consideration for families**. The lack of organization and care in both the pool area and the parking situation only adds to the frustration. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your stay.

My experience was a mixed bag. Gresa from reception was fantastic and really customer focused. The restaurant is really great and has a fantastic menu too.
The negatives:
-The spa was really dirty and not managed, no towels, steam room not working. I went once and didn't go back.
-The room service was a disaster- firstly I was brought no cutlery or napkins and when I asked for them I was asked "really?" And brought a wet napkin. Second time, I ordered vegan food and the the vegan burger had a suspicious piece of beef ham placed amongst the salad.
-I asked for extra pillows 3 times before I was given a package of never opened pillows with no pillow cases.
-My room phone didn't work after the first day.
-There was a dirty ash tray left in my room on arrival
Positives:
-Food delicious, restaurant manager great and helpful with allergies
-Rooms good value for the price, great air conditioning and comfortable
-Reception staff really helpful

I would say it's more of a 3* property with a 5* restaurant. I emailed the manager after I left and never got a reply, which shows they don't care about their guests.

I would not stay here again.

Terrible Hotel, with terrible employees! Very arrogant and not customer oriented. This is the last hotel to stay in Prishtina.
We‘re living in 2022 and they are still living in a stone age.
I absolutely wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Me respekt, Hotel Garden

The staff needs some decency behaviour training. I would use the worst possible words to describe them but I don’t want to stoop so low to their idiocy level.
Never again, and I would recommend nobody from my friends, colleagues or acquaintances. Luckily Prishtina offers other better options too

Dear, We thank you for writing to us addressing the issue that occurred at our hotel regarding the same-sex couple, and we sincerely apologize for all of this misunderstanding. It is true that people who have tried to enter the pool with the offer for couples have been stopped by our workshop at first due to the abuses that usually occur on behalf of same-sex couples, cases which are not rare and are made to take advantage of the offer which is made exclusively for couples. However, it is worth noting that this misunderstanding was clarified immediately at the scene and that people used the pool freely, without any kind of discrimination. This was a misunderstanding between the worker and the persons in question, and not between the policies of our hotel because in our hotel everyone is treated the same without any kind of distinction such as: racial, gender, religious or sexual. The problem between the couple and the worker was immediately resolved by our manager Valdrini, who as soon as he was informed of the case intervened and fixed this whole problem. Also in the photo you can find the email of Mr. Marius Schönhofen (the person who was the protagonist of the event together with his lover), who explains the situation that the misunderstanding has been resolved by us and that he and his lover have continued freely in swimming pool.) We hope that in the future we will not have such misunderstandings. With respect, Garden Hotel
