I did review this hotel through the hotels TA link but they obviously choose to ignore any criticism. Lovely hotel and even though the drive to D-Resort is through an industrial/commercial area it is beautifully positioned on a peninsular and is joined to the marina complex. Swimming pools are really nice as is the food at the pool bars and excellent service by friendly staff. There is a shortage of sunbeds at busy times or when the hotel is full. Dinner quite mixed although quality improved immensely after we complained after a bad experience and choice is Limited especially if vegetarian. Restaurant staff top class and friendly. Extensive breakfast buffet and mostly good apart from the poor quality fruit juices and chefs who don't seem to know that well done cooked eggs should not be runny and uncooked. They just couldn't get it right so we gave up on breakfast bar eggs. We had a 3rd floor room with Marina view which was excellent and clean but spoilt by the noise from the kitchen/restaurant above from 5am every morning. We couldn't move as the hotel was full but we were offered that choice eventually but when we only had 3 full days remaining. Marina view is nicer as sea view overlook the docks and City. My Wife thought the Spa treatments/massages were excellent and our 5 year old Daughter loved the kids club every morning although she was mostly the only one there. The club is on the Marina and not actually in the hotel grounds which is a negative but Dora and her Mum were excellent and our Daughter enjoyed her time there. One guy on reception wasn't very helpful when we tried to hire the hotel or 3rd party boat to go to an Island and we were told it was fully booked for 3 weeks but we tried again 2 days later and a very friendly receptionist managed to slot us in and we had a fantastic half day on the Island of Zlarin and a fantastic meal at restaurant Prsilka (must be booked in advance). Nice that the hotel has rules about face masks and gel but a pity that the mask rule wasn't upheld at breakfast as a minority (British) did not comply and should have been told. Also most gel dispensers were not refilled when empty or were not working. Disposable gloves at the breakfast buffet would be a good idea also. Apart from the few annoying things mentioned we had a lovely relaxing holiday and would consider returning in the future. The staff here are in the main first class and friendly.

We stayed in 2 spacious, pine fragranced, marina view rooms with balconies where we enjoyed gorgeous Dalmatian sunsets. What distinguished our stay the most was the hotel manager Erhan. Always with a radiant smile, he has guided us through the intricacies of local customs and favourites so we could make the most out of our journey. The hotel fully complies with pandemic rules and takes Sibenik region to a higher category in tourism. Local authorities should give this hotel all possible awards instead of looking for absurd shortcomings.

Just back from an outstanding holiday at D Resort. Firstly the staff, so helpful and welcoming from the bell staff, to reception, to restaurant and bar staff and those at the pool bars. We were well looked after. Fabulous trip out one afternoon on the hotel boat and reception always happy to arrange water taxi trips the the old town. Rooms were beautifully clean. When I needed to change the room my kids were in, reception were so helpful. Staff at the peninsula bar especially were amazing. Wine in restaurant much more expensive than the restaurants in the old town but did find a couple that were reasonable value. It would be helpful if there was some way the hotel could notify guests if the water taxi or the peninsula pool were not open due to the weather, perhaps a note in reception as we had to walk to check on a couple of occasions and once we were waiting for the taxi we had booked without knowing it had been cancelled (we’re British so thought the weather was ok!). Final big shout out to the chefs doing fresh eggs at breakfast and the waiter staff at breakfast all so lovely and efficient. Promised my son we’ll go back! He’s a fussy teen!

We enjoyed some very relaxing days in this beautiful hotel. First thing you notice when entering the lobby is the fantastic smell. While the staff does all the check-in-paperwork for you, you are treated with a welcome cocktail and transit into holiday mode immediately. The room (we had one opposite the marina) is gorgious, spacy, clean and well equipped. Maybe you should instruct housekeeping to remove the mould stains in the shower eventually. It's still acceptable and does not reduce the cleanliness but it doesn't look nice... The staff is very friendly and helpful - especially in the restaurant. The breakfast offers anything one might need. Everything is fresh, tasty, refilled frequently and together with the maginificent vista from the large balcony just a perfect start in the day. Just a request to all future guests reading this: You are in a 4-star hotel here and it would be more than appropriate if you also dressed accordingly for breakfast. I find it extremely inappropriate to show up here in a muscle shirt and bathing slippers. It is rude and inconsiderate of the other guests and especially the staff. No one wants to have to see your fungal toenails already at breakfast. Furthermore, you may note that the buffet is constantly replenished and it is not necessary to fill up your plate as if there is nothing to eat for the next three weeks. Lastly, the note that if you treat yourself to a hotel in this price range, it is simply embarrassing to take a packed lunch from the restaurant. Also in Croatia there are wonderful bakeries, small cafes and supermarkets on every street corner. The pools are wonderful - especially the one next to the spa and gym. The only thing we missed was the other bars and the rooftop-bar. Maybe it was due to covid or the chilly evenings. We were looking forward to enjoying some time up there but except for the Art restaurant the other places were closed / not in operation. This gave us the chance to visit more of the local restaurants in the city which you can either reach by shuttle boat, by car or with one of the e-scooters available in front of the hotel. All together a perfect time off - we will come back eventually!

Literally just returned from an idillic week at this beautiful hotel. Everything about the hotel is spot on....even the amazing aroma...I kid you not! The staff are all first class; whilst fault is never what I look for (I prefer to give credit where credit is due) I could not fault this team if I tried. Everyone does their bit to make sure your stay is perfect, in the perfect setting. Special thanks to Ivan (Bell Services) Ana (Breakfast) and in particular Iva (Peninsula Bar) for helping when my son cut his foot (through no fault but his own). This was our first visit to Croatia, it was amazing, for which the tone and standard was set by this hotel and their fantastic team.
