Enjoy your stay in Dubrovnik!
During our stay at Hotel Lero in Dubrovnik we were surprised with kind and friendly staff. Our 5 children were enjoying! It's hard to find a 4-star hotel that is friendly to big families. Rooms are very clean, parking is well guarded. We recommend it!
We booked the hotel and was really happy with the choice. Room was lovely with good bed and a nice bathroom. We went for the Bed and Breakfast and the selection was excellent and well worth it. The hotel is situated perfectly for walking to the old town and also to the harbour. Traffic isnt too bad and plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. only slightly disappointing thing was the pool having no sun at all, so quite cold this time of year and no chance to sit there in the sun for a few hours. But I do appreciate it was October.
Stayed here for a week whilst holidaying in Dubrovnik. We were surprised to be met by a staff member who took our cases from us, helped us check in and then escorted us to our room on the third floor and showed us how things worked when we got there. We were also informed that we had a cold dinner waiting for us in the dining room due to our evening flight (we arrived at the hotel about 21:30), and this was unexpected but very welcome! So we were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered the hotel. We had a superior room which was modern, clean, and comfortable. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels left. We were also given disposable slippers and a dressing gown for use poolside! We spent time around the pool most mornings, which was very welcome before a day in the sun, and never had a problem getting a lounger. The staff at the bar bring drinks out to you on request. The pool is in the shade in the afternoon though! There are also toilets and a shower there! Breakfast was very plentiful, and varied, with both hot English style food and toast as well as the typical cold breakfast options and fruit and yoghurts. The coffee was very good. Likewise, the buffet dinner was very good and differed every night with something for everyone. The only issue we had was that there was no water on the tables or even in a machine. If you want a drink, you either have to bring one in from the bar or flag a waiter down as nobody ever asks if you would like a drink. As a Brit, this felt a bit rude but I got the impression through the week that this is Croatian etiquete and is expected. Nevertheless, the waitors were always very obliging and bought the drinks quickly. I did have an issue at dinner once when I forgot to take a mask to the buffet and a staff member immediately spotted me and quite abruptly said "mask" to me. This wouldn't have bothered me were it not for the fact I saw a large number of men going up without masks after me and nobody said anything to them - in fact I saw a few members of staff conversing with these people but none were asked to put a mask on and I did feel singled out at this point. I also saw a number of staff members wearing their own mask under their noses, or not wearing them at all. The location of the hotel is very central, located between Old City and Lapad. Its about a 20-25 walk downhill with lovely scenery to the old city but obviously uphill on the way back and a bus is recommended. Buses leave regularly from the Pile gate entrance of the old city (no. 4 for Lero) and stop just outside the hotel and are reasonably priced. There is also a pharmacy next to the hotel and a 5 minute walk away are the stairs to the beautiful Bellevue Beach bay. The trip down is not for the faint hearted though but worth it if you've got the stamina! Overall, a very good hotel, with the location a big plus and would stay here again next time we're in Dubrovnik (and we definitely will be back).…
Becareful if you have the room 183 in this hotel!!! Executive Room!! Don't seat on the toilet for pee!! They say, it's a bathroom for disables persons, But no way, No disables persons can use the bath, and you will pee on you if you seat on the toilet!!!! (2 times) When I explain that to the manager of sales department, he put me outside, without take my breakfast, and wants call the police, because I pee on me 2 times !!!
Great location between Dubrovnik and Lapad, about a 20 minute walk in each direction and on a bus route which runs regularly. We had an interconnecting family room, which was very spacious but no balcony but very clean. The pool area was very small and in constant shade so we went to the beach every day, there is a local one 10 minutes walk but very pebbly. The best beaches are in and around Lapad, if you are after sandy beaches Dubrovnik is not for you! The food at the hotel is just OK, breakfast is European but fab coffee!! The evening meal wasn't the best so we dined out most nights. There are a couple of local restaurants that are fairly cheap and good quality. Dubrovnik has lovely restaurants on the side of cobbled streets, very busy but very good, lovely atmosphere! Reception was very good, we booked a trip to Mostar and Kravice waterfalls, definitely recommend. Dubrovnik is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year, plenty to see and do!!…
