The hotel itself is great which comes with great views (if you can ask specifically for a room with a view of the city or even pay additional - it really is worth it. Rooms come with a standard TV with the option to watch Netflix or Prime, a mini fridge, a safe and AC which all work well and maintained without a problem. We got the half board package (which covered breakfast and dinner) which I would describe as a 5/10 purely based on the dinner selection not quality (must note it is very cheeky of the staff to offer no drinks and leave you to buy drinks at dinner under the half board package). The dinner options have no variety of veg food whatsoever. This could be based on cultural/past guests or just arrogance. However, if you request a veg dish, the best they will do is give a meatless version of an existing dish. There were many times where we spotted that labels were misplaced, causing food with meat to be under veg only for the staff to be very dismissive of.
The 2 pools and jacuzzi are good and well maintained. The outdoor pool was my favourite personally because of the view that comes with it along with being able to take in nice breeze. The gym element actually surprised me, the hotel have an extensive range of equipment from cables, pull up/dip bars and weights. It could get busy depending on the time you go but personally going after breakfast I didnt feel it got crowded and had comfortable access to it.
The staff is very very nice and eager to serve clients .
The room was cleaned perfectly cleaned every day
Breakfast was prepared perfectly by kitchen and restaurant staff ,
The view of Hotel Adria towards La Pad is super !
Hotel Adria has 2 swimming pools, out- and inside with a perfect jacucci .
Location was central so one van easily head to Dubrovnik by cab of other directions .
We did not hear any traffic noise in our room .
Cars can be parked on free places outside or in the garage .
We did not have any negative things with Hotel Adria .
All we experienced was positive !
We love Hotel Adria and staff !!
The breakfast buffet was superb and the 2 evening meals we had were excellent.
All the staff including the kitchen staff and cleaners were extremely friendly and as helpful as they could possibly be.
We had a wonderful holiday there
I stayed in a room with a view and the views were wonderful even though there are tall buildings on each side. The room was comfortable with a small refrigerator and replenished bottle water. Thank-you. I really enjoyed the balcony. There was enough room to sit outside and enjoy fresh air and the wonderful views. At the end of the day, it was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine.
Breakfast was amazing. The staff worked so hard to keep food replenished, tables clean, and keep coffee pots filled. I did not have dinner at the hotel because of the great restaurants in town.
The location was high on the hill, but I ended up taking Ubers to the Gate and Harbor and restaurants. Quick pickup and all drivers knew the hotel for pickup and drop-off. All fares were under 8 Euros.
Recommended for a day or two stay, has a good connection to the old town; bus line number 3, which is a few steps away from the hotel. Tickets are sold at the hotel for 12 kuna for one way. On the bus costs 15 kuna. Good connection to the beaches as well.
The hotel has a small pool.
We only had breakfast at the hotel which includes juice, water, coffee, eggs, various salamis, fruits, bread, croissants, cereals...
The dining room also has a sea view. Clean, nice room, balcony, no kettle.
Staff professional and helpful.
Bar in the hotel on the sea side with a beautiful view for relaxation.
The views from this hotel are amazing. The pictures don't do it justice - you need to see the views in person yourself! The hotel faces the coast from a hill and the views are some of the best you'll see in Dubrovnik of the area of Gruz just below!
Hotel Adria offers a great buffet breakfast. The buffet breakfast surprised us as it contained a really good large selection of different breakfast items and a lot of many hot and cold beverages. And, if you get to the hotel restaurant at a good time, you can sit by the window/balcony go enjoy your breakfast with an amazing view of the Adriatic sea (check out my photo of the view!).
The hotel is situated on a hill and is a bit further out from the infamous tourist area of Old Town where the famous TV series Game Of Thrones was filmed. However, this is not an issue at all as you can get a local bus (which travels frequently throughout the entire day up until late) to and from bus stops situated just outside the hotel. A one way ticket to the Old Town, or other areas within the vicinity, is 15 Croatian kuna (around £1.69). Very cheap and affordable!
Hotel Adria seems like it is a fairly new hotel? I think it is because the modern decor, the facitilies, the build of the hotel don't seem too old. This is a huge plus! There are two very good swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoors, both fully equipped with modern facilities and the use of these pools along with the gym was included in our hotel price!
The hotel is reasonably priced and affordable when compared to other hotels in the area which can be super expensive in this area - Dubrovnik isn't cheap!
Overall, we loved our stay and loved visiting such a beautiful country and a stunning city. We'd like to sincerely thank all of Hotel Adria and it's amazing staff for making our visit to Dubrovnik even better than we'd imagined. Thank you!
This location looks over the bay and port, the balcony has a table and couple of chairs, get a bottle of wine and enjoy. The photo is from the balcony.
We will be back soon.
