Several of us just returned from 6 nights at the Jupiter Luxury Hotel. We just loved it. Not only is it in the enviable position of being in the very heart of the city within the walls of the Diocletian Palace, but the unique decor and comfort level of the rooms were fantastic. It's a very quick walk to everywhere you want to be. And I have to mention the staff who were so kind and helpful, from the breakfast crew to the front desk (thanks Christina for all your help), and the management, who could't have been nicer. Thank you all, we'll be back. Carlo
I had a 6 nights stay at this place and i enjoyed it. The room was big, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was huge, with a shower and a bathtub, the location of the hotel is perfect, right in the heart of the palace. The not so good aspects were that the furniture is a bit old, in the morning your will hear the bell from the cathedral like it's in your room (daily at 7am), the breakfast was really basic but you had some options. For parking you have to pay 20e/day. It was a good experience, i would return.
Jupiter hotel was less than great. Nice room, nice breakfast. Difficult offsite parking quite a way away. Not for someone with 4 large bags. TV wasn't working, another guest had same problem and was given another room, option not offered to us. Room safe had to be specially opened for us and internet packed up at various times. When we left I told the day manager and she said sorry too bad. When I told her I had done her job and my clients in the US had been Marriott and Hilton Head Offices, she smirked and said congratulations. I give it 1.5 stars and more for younger backpackers with lower expectations.
On arrival we discovered it’s a bit of a walk from the road which is fine but difficult with suitcases as there are steps on the walk. Once at the hotel there is a single lift but then you also still have stairs to climb. No help on offer from the reception staff. We stayed two nights and it’s well located for wandering around town. Both nights we were woken up by people coming back from a night out. They weren’t ridiculously noisy but the small corridors are very echoey and you can hear people walking around above you. Very frustrating! The breakfast was dreary! Both juice and coffee are dispensed through drink machines so not at all fresh. We went out for breakfast both days. Tiny towels in the bathroom just as a final frustration!!
It was our first time to Split, and we usually choose boutique hotels if possible. Location, excellent, in the middle of everything, but away from the crowd. Our room on 3rd floor overlooking the front was quiet enough. Tiny room, and tiny bathroom, crawl over your suitcases to get around. Clean, and comfortable, air con control adjusted by the front desk with a phone call. Sleep quality was pretty good, I could have used a softer pillow, wife said it was perfect. We missed most of the included breakfasts, but they looked good, and little above the average. Hotel was gracious to offer bagged lunches or breakfasts to go. Service was exceptional, examples; breakfast started at 7:00 am, but most days people were eating before then, and not chased away by the staff, if an item was on display, you were free to help yourself. Hotel provided access to COVID testing in their lobby, with local provider coming at 9:00 pm on short notice to accommodate us. Very helpful with printing out needed documents for travel, like Covid tests. Very impressive staying in such a historic location.…
