Boutique hotel may even be too much a name for this 3 rooms hotel, one in each floor. I don’t know how they manage to have a front desk agent, an agreement with a parking lot, an electric cart to help with the luggage and breakfast included. Our room was the penthouse, or should I say the garret. The bathroom was small, with a cruise-like shower, an inclined wooded ceiling , and a very small wardrobe; still, it had an almost king size bed (beware that the mattress is stuck in a wooden box), with night tables, good wi fi, safe box, minibar and hair dryer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A cold breakfast buffet was beautifully displayed each morning, and when they ran out of chocolate croissants and I asked for one, they rushed to the bakery to please me.
We were attracted by the hotel's location and decoration and were right. Rooms are beautiful and just as in the photos. We stayed in the 13th century annex and there is a third century annex we did not see. Location is in Diocletian's palace but away from the overcrowded and overtouristy bit still being only 5 minutes walk from all that. Breakfast was good with tasty and healthy options I was really in need of after too much egg etc...earlier in the holiday. The staff were so helpful with it being a small hotel. They helped us get from the port to the hotel when no cars can go through Diocletian's palace and also helped us get a taxi to the airport with all our bags. They helped us get a local bus to Omis as well. We loved it here and would highly recommend it.
What a great little hotel! It’s in the heart of everything and yet it’s very quiet. Beautiful and impeccably clean rooms, great breakfast and most importantly absolutely amazing staff - provided whatever information you needed, booked restaurants and packed food bags for early morning excursions. Highly recommend it!
Stop reading other hotel reviews on here and book this hotel. This wonderfully exquisite boutique hotel he everything going for it. From the incredible staff who is there for all your needs to the perfect location right off the piazza. The only thing I was worri d about was noise as split gets loud at night. Drunk kids screaming and yelling after hours gets annoying , so staying in the middle of it all had me anxious. Luckily, this hotel added (basically) soundproof windows that block out 99% of the noise and I'm a very light sleeper. Close the shutters and windows at night and it's incredible how silent they were able to make it. Kudos to investing in those windows, it made all the difference. The staff would make us little food bags whenever we had to leave early for a excursion. We would get to the lobby area and there would be water, a croissant and a banana waiting for us as we made our way to the plitvice lakes, or the 5 island boat tour etc. It's these little touches that enhanced our stay. The front desk will also make dinner reservations for you (which I recommend doing as split loves it's dinner and places book up quickly) and offer suggestions. It's also a quick walk to the ferry or most meeting points for excursions as well as just walking outside the front door and you are immersed in the old city. It's truly magical. If I ever come back to split I would def come back here. My wife and I loved every second of our stay. …
My wife and I stay at this hotel for two nights and it was great. The hotel staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. The location of this hotel is fantastic. I would give it 10 out of 10 for location. It is in the heart of the old town and is surrounded by restaurants and built into Diocletian's Palace. The room we stayed in was beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Split.
