Salvezani apartments are located in the very heart of Diocletian's palace, on Dominisova street. This part of the city housed people who lived and worked in the city of Split. Most houses on Dominisova street had workshops and warehouses on ground floor, with living quarters above. House at Dominisova 10/12 was built in the 16th century for exactly that purpose. Many original features were preserved during the restoration and all three apartments were intentionally designed around those features. They are wonderfully rustic, yet with all the 21st century mod cons. Access to apartments 1 and 2 is via a small courtyard and up 2 flights of stairs. Both are split level, and take up the second floor and attic space of the house. Apartment 3 is accessed via a separate entrance, up one flight of stairs. It is on a single level, and takes up the first floor of the house.

Property's Favourite Review
Irina is a perfect host. Great communication. Helped us to do washing / drying after a 5 week holiday pre a cruise. The accommodation has everything you could need. In a perfect location in the old town with legitimate 16th century fittings. In a 16th century building where the castle workers lived. Spotlessly clean, central, aircon. Tv, music . Great price. Perfect . Allowed late checkout at no extra cost. Thank you Irina

We stayed at the attic apartment for one night.
The host Irina was very helpful with providing parking information (we parked by the ferry for overnight parking 170kn). The apartment was very cozy and unique. There were a lot of stairs to climb so make sure to travel light. The apartment came with everything you’d need for cooking including cooking oil. The only thing you’d need to bring is shampoo/lotion.
The location was unbeatable, 2 mins walk from the Palace and surrounded by great restaurants (Go to Figs). We arrived pretty late and was offered to have a super late check-out the next day since she didn’t have any guest coming in, what a nice gesture.

Wonderful, located in the centre of the Diocletian’s palace and just minutes away from the Riviera and the cathedral of st. Duje! We stayed in apartment number two in a beautiful stone house. There was an array of cafes, restaurants and bars in the close proximity of the apartment which was lovely! The apartment was beautifully decorated with elements of the old fashioned brick and wooden details combined with some contemporary twists. Irina was a caring and lovely host.

We were lucky enough to stay in two separate rooms of Apartments Salvezani - bookending our trip to Split (with Vis in the middle!). Both were fantastic and we would highly recommend them to anyone that is visiting. The location is fantastic and right in the middle of the Palace, close to great restaurants and the best coffee place in Split! The rooms themselves are really comfortable and homely, with little extras that made the stay even better. it was clear that the owners really care about the place and their guests. we would most definitely return!

The apartment is wonderful and cozy with nice energy. The combination between stone walls and modern details really makes a place feel super relaxing and nice. The location of the apartment is perfect because everything is so close. I hope to stay here again soon. :)

We loved everything about this cozy place. The historic stone walls and the attention to little details in the apartment are beautiful. The location is also amazing, in the old center but quiet and peaceful. I hope I'll get the chance to come to stay here again!

My wife and I had high expectations having read the reviews decided to book an apartment at Salvezani for the night while onroute to Zagreb. After the experience we had we have drawn two major conclusions - most of the other reviews must have been written by the owner or friends of the owner and for the price charged how can the owner justify the 'over the top' rates for the standard of accommodation and poor experience on offer???
The apartment was located within the walls of the palace about 20 minutes walk from the port.
Steps outside are high and narrow and doesn't get much better inside where anyone over a size 12 would struggle even to get through the door.
The bed wasn't made and dishes piled high in the sink gave the impression the owner had slept overnight the night before as when asked why the room wasn't ready she quickly disappeared into the bedroom and changed the sheets. In the fridge was milk that had gone off and someones leftover cheese.
The bathroom was the smallest I've ever encountered and this presented two problems. The shower could only be operated with the door open and my wife who is a size 10 got stuck on the loo and I had to pull her off - goodness know how larger persons cope!
The mattress was hard and after an uncomfortable night (had to get up and close the windows due to the church/cathedral bells), the Aircon didn't work at the time of visit.
Worse still as no breakfast was provided, the owner instructs people to visit the nearby cafe for 'a continential breakfast'. Well at 9.10am the following morning the cafe was shut and the next cafe said it hadn't been open for the last two days and didn't know when it would. That was the last straw. We told the owner this but her reply was just to shrug her shoulders as if this was our fault but didn't offer to compensate for the inconvenience of having to pay for breakfast elsewhere.
MY ADVICE - AVOID THIS APARTMENT UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR THE LOCATION,HAVE A BAD NIGHTS SLEPT, NO BREAKFAST AND GIVE YOUR BODY A BAD WORKOUT GOING UP AND DOWN THE NARROW STEPS OR GETTING STUCK ON THE TOILET.

This is the first that I feel to answer on some review. First off all we always do our best to feel our guests confortable and wellcome to our country and our town.It is clear that is very difficult to meet the standards of our guests in question. The reason that I can only guess. The house where apartments are is old close to 400years .During renovation we didn't change anything-the stairs are the same size as before where the people lived for centuryes. Insinuation that I or my friends writen reviews before as a simple untrue. Sometimes we alaud our guests to extend their stay in apartments specialy if they are waiting for ferry, bus ar plane without any additional charge and apartment are ready in last moment whitch was the case here (check in time 2pm). As for the church bells- the church is there for last 1700years and this is the first time i believe that somebody complain about the church bells. Once again I feel very sorry that we didn't meet the expectation of our guests and thanks for taking time to write the review. Irina Salvezani, owner apartments Salvezani

Hi Captain 25...
please found attach my answer.
If you are one of them who want to feel the city, to jump in your mind 1700years in past, to meet the Rome empire....and to have your first coffe inside the palace walls,...and just watch people...
the best way is to found nice place inside the Diocletian's palace.
Our apartments are situated in the very heart of the Diocletian's palace in the house from 16th century.
More information you can found on our site.
Do not hesitate to contact me regarding your Split visit.

Irina
