Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Third stay here. It's not a fancy inn or hotel and doesn't try to be. Clean, pleasant staff, good location, good price. Quiet, no bother from other lodgers. Has fridge, microwave, flat screen. What else do you need? I didn't try wifi. Bed in this unit wasn't the best.

This is the only hotel in the area, so I stopped by on my way to Boston. I'll tell you, it's not the nicest hotel in the world ; there was molding in the bathroom, peeling wallpaper and crack in the ceiling to name a few. I'm giving this hotel a 'very good' because it was just that. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Poor reception on the TV, but it was an older model and I wasn't there to watch anyway. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The number listed on Google said that the number was invalid, but I assure you that they are open. It reminded me of one of the old fashioned 'hourly rates' motel, but no longer . You are not allowed to have pets, guests or parties. I was traveling alone and don't know anyone in that area anyway. There is no breakfast. They do offer jacuzzi rooms, but they were booked. Overall, I was very satisfied and had a pleasant experience. Don't let the exterior fool you. Plus, it's next to a grocery store and dollar store. If the owner reads this, thank you

This hotel gave a reasonable room for the low $55 night rate. The room was clean & tidy. However, the little refrigerator was so noisy I had to pull its plug and the free Wi-Fi had pretty poor reception/broadband. It's kinda close to Lexington-Concord battlefield and outside the Boston I-495 beltway. Nothing fancy, just use it for stop over.

Should get a MINUS 5 rating and be shut down by the health department. Here are the facts:

We made a reservation for 2 nights in October, because we were working in the area. My partner made the reservation weeks in advance. Nevertheless, when I came to pick up the key, the attendant said they only had a suite available (claiming my partner hadn't reserved the room until that week) for about double the price. When I then dialed my partner's number, the attendant suddenly "found" a room.

Our room was filthy and disgusting: it was obviously not cleaned, and many unhygienic objects were left from the previous occupants. The photo evidence is below.

Since we didn't occupy the room until very late on the first night, I called the next day. The attendant apologized and promised to replace the refrigerator and give us a discount to compensate for this horrible experience.
Neither happened: we were charged the full $251.56 for 2 nights in this dump. The irony is that they held $200 against my credit card for cleaning!!

The only place available and advertised "non smoking" but the only means of ingress/egress to rooms on second floor was thru clouds of cigarette smoke from the transient construction workers, unemployed etc., that reside in the facility. The rooms were marginal at best, AC unit from the fifties. very sparse on furnishings, no towel bar in bathroom or shelf, limited linens for bathing, old bath tub needed anti slip on bottom, since there were no grab bars or anything to help exiting the tub. The online pics of the rooms are misleading, because ours didn't match. The exterior of the building, we were in the 2 story, is dirty, junk everywhere and in need of repair, along with cosmetic attention. I realize people need to stay somewhere but the cliental here made it seem we were in the homeless section of Ayer. Never go back and would advise those travelers interested, look at something in or around Littleton Ma. the cost might be a few bucks more.................................but worth it.

I stayed in one of the single queen room during me travel from New York to Boston. All the nearby hotels were sold out so we didnt have any option left. this place was just few miles away from the i-495 so we decided to stop by. Front desk person was nice and helpful. the check in was quick. i read some bad reviews about this place so i was not sure about it but after staying here i'm quite sure in recommending this place. I think they are renovation the rooms and offering sufficient amenities. the price was considerably cheap comparative to the other hotels nearby and the room was nice and clean, feel like new. Bed was comfy and bathroom was in mint condition as i stated that they are renovation the rooms. Me and my wife was pretty satisfied with stay, i will stay again if i plan my trip to that area.

While in Ayer for our seminars, I stayed here and everything was great. Arriving early, my room was not ready and the front desk staff was able to provide me with a restaurant close for breakfast. Coming back my room was ready and the kids staff were very helpful.

In June I had made plans to visit my relatives near Ayer. The hotel was on a great location , grocery store less than 100feet and family dollar was right across the hotel . Very convenient to get food to eat. It was a very quiet area . The hotel was under renovation , but the room I stayed was renovated , the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very well done and also the room was painted. . Everything was clean in the room. There was soap, shampoo, lotion and conditioner in the bathroom. House keeper gave room service daily , which is great to get fresh bedsheets and towels. The front desk people are very friendly and welcoming. I had problem login into the wifi but the guy at front desk helped he log inn without any prob. The check in was very quick and easy . I will definitely recommend my family and friends to stay here as is budget friendly more for your buck ... I will recommend people who are on a budget to come and stay here . The hotel has grown from how it was before .. renovations are still going on...😊😊😊😊 I enjoyed my stay ...

Senior couple spending 8 nights to visit relatives in area. Motel was closest to family. Older place but very busy. Call hotel direct - often cheaper prices. Had a renovated room on bottom floor - good beds, clean room, clean updated bath. Wi-fi average. Frig. & microwave included. No hotel breakfast. Grocery store next door. Dollar General across the street. Not on "main" street area of Ayer but location was okay. My new blanket statement for ALL HOTELS - every room should have two mirrors in it so a couple can get ready at same time - not just a mirror in bathroom - one mirror makes for awkward time of dressing. BIG NEGATIVE - our room had only one lamp by bed & a ceiling light that was close to the outside door; therefore, the rest of the room was quite dark where luggage & hanging clothes were - actually bought a gooseneck lamp to use in the closet/luggage area because we could not see. Room needed much more lighting. Would we stay here again - probably.
