The Flag House Inn is where classic style meets historic locality. The U.S. Naval Academy is located steps outside our front door, along with award-winning Annapolis restaurants and charming boutiques that line the brick sidewalks of Historic Annapolis. Come experience the comfortably refined sophistication of this intimately sized and design-driven Annapolis icon.

First and foremost, the property photos are not as advertised on the website. The common areas are nice, but the room accommodations were terrible, and the service was extremely poor. We were placed in a room behind the dining room which was down a hallway next to the kitchen across from the washer/dryer next to where the trash was kept each day. Furthermore, the photos on the website don’t show a room that looks anything like ours and when we inquired with the one and only staff person on-site, we were told our room isn’t listed on the site photos. This is misleading for a small inn to not show all the rooms available, particularly leaving off the less desirable ones. When we tried to get moved to a new room (as they weren’t sold out according to their misleading website) we…

Did not actually stay. Made reservation from on line add that indicted cancellation is free. Had to cancel for health reasons within 30 days. Called and was told there would be a $95.00 cancellation fee. I had no choice. Reservation was fully paid up front. Fee was charged outside of original booking fee rather than subtracted from refund. When I called to complain, was told that refund of original charge would take several days. I have no problem with a small cancellation fee and even larger one for cancellations outside of a shorter timeframe…but 30 days seems adequate to rebook a room in a highly competitive area. This looked like a delightful inn but I would not go here now because of their misleading advertising clearly stating free cancellation in Google link.

Do not trust the incredible rating! New ownership has taken over and the experience is completely different than what the many older positive reviews indicate. This is now a corporate property with no character, minimal service, and “just ok” accommodations. The “breakfast” at the bed and breakfast is a cheap store bough platter of pastries, some whole fruit, and yoplait yogurt - the lack of care is astonishing for what is supposed to be an intimate and elegant experience. We celebrated my wife’s birthday here. In the reservation form it requested info on any dietary restrictions, which I included. On arrival, there was no mention of the birthday, no awareness of the dietary restrictions. I reminded them about it, they said they’d follow up. The next morning at breakfast,…

We stayed a few nights and really enjoyed everything about the Flag House Inn. Both Cody and Debbie were very welcoming and accommodating. The Inn is clean and comfortable. The other guests we met coming and going and at breakfast were friendly. Parking is behind the building, which is so convenient. The Inn is well situated to be able to walk around town, the Naval Academy, and Eastport. Breakfast each morning is a full plate of deliciousness: eggs, bacon, waffle/pancake. We will return!

Traveled for a long weekend away. We try and stay in bed and breakfasts all the time. This one ranks very high on our list. Arrived and were greeted and they took the bags to our room. They offered guidance on dining and things to do. We had made reservations before we arrived- they called to confirm. Breakfast was very good both days. Staff was attentive and pleasant to work with. Room was impeccable down to smallest details. Definitely recommend this place to anyone heading to Annapolis or looking for a weekend away.

We had an enjoyable stay prior to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Walk. The Flag House is conveniently located across from The Naval Academy and within walking distance of everything. An important factor since parking is tough to find in Annapolis; although tight, parking at The Flag House is a plus, even at $50/night. This inn has been thoughtfully updated, is super clean, and nicely furnished. The innkeeper and staff were very helpful and attentive, even securing primo seating at the Chart House with a complementary dessert. The breakfasts were tasty as were the daily chocolate chip cookies. Many thanks.

My wife and I visited the Flag House Inn this past weekend and it was one of the best b&b’s we’ve stayed in. Right away from pulling in Debbie met us with with a big wave through the window and she made our stay wonderful. Everything about the inn was great from the breakfast in the mornings to how beautiful the room was to the evening night cap we enjoyed in the front study. The room/house was immaculate and Debbie was always there to point us in the right direction to show off how great on a city Annapolis is. Kait and I will certainly be planning a return trip and telling all of our friends/family this is the only place to stay when visiting Annapolis. Thanks again for a tremendous three days Debbie and the rest of the staff!

We recently celebrated our anniversary with a weekend stay at the Flag House Inn in Annapolis, Md. I can't say enough good things about it! Upon arrival, we were welcomed by three lovely people who catered to all our needs. They immediately parked our car, took our luggage and gave us a tour of the inn and took us up to our beautiful, very comfortable room. It was a very quiet room with a view of the chapel dome from the naval academy. Debbie, our host, showed us all the essentials and was extremely hospitable. Our bed was so comfortable, excellent mattress and linens and got an excellent night's sleep. There is tea, iced water and cookies available all the time in the downstairs living room where you can sit and relax. Breakfasts were all delicious and very satisfying,…

The location was perfect, breakfasts were delicious and rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. When we arrived early, Clinton came out into the parking lot to greet us and welcomed us , insisting that he carry our luggage. Before we could get inside, Debbie appeared and was just as warm and inviting. She knows the town well and connected us with excellent reservations and sightseeing tips. Great place to stay.
