Centrally located in downtown Annapolis, Flag House Inn is within one of the largest private homes near the waterfront. Originally two Victorian townhouses, Flag House was restored in the early 90's, and now includes on-site parking (rare!). You get the privacy of an inn with the friendliness of a bed and breakfast. The inn is the closest accommodation to the US Naval Academy, (across from main entrance) you could not be any closer unless you were inside the base! The front porch flies the state or national flags of guests, and greets you with swings and teak benches. The entrance opens into splendid interiors filled with naval and nautical art and memorabilia, fine paintings, antiques, and reproductions. Flag House offers five comfortable king or twin bed guest rooms, including a two-room suite, each with private bath, air conditioning and cable TV. Enjoy a fresh home cooked hot breakfast, before setting off to explore this beautiful and historic town.

I chose this Inn for my partner's 50th birthday trip (1/13). I knew she would love it. She is a very social and engaging person which was perfect for this place. She loved the terrific homemade breakfasts and then coffee on the front porch with a view of the Naval Academy. She

Hi Theo thanks for the great review and you are right it was a magical weekend in the snow. You provided a wonderful review and pointed out so many of our benefits of staying with us - the location, the breakfasts, the atmosphere and the rooms (It was Sailing Capital) I'm just curious where we fell short to rate 4 stars instead of 5, a personal message to info@flaghouseinn.com would be appreciated. We aim for a 10 out of 10 with every guest experience, and are always looking to improve and find new ways to delight you Thanks so much and we hope to see you again! Marty Etzel

Wow I do not know where to start to address your wonderful comments other than to say thank you! You have accurately described our approach to maximize your experience and we are still learning and stay humble, we see many more opportunities, having taken over back in February We inherited a lovely asset but also saw opportunities to enhance the rooms, food and recommendations on what to do around town. We have had a lot of fun with the food and there too we learn every day. That fruit back was a new addition and we plan to put into a more regular rotation Anyway, Jerome, your comments mean so much to us, we are having fun at this new career. We look forward to your return visit - bring friends!

Very welcoming B&B. Good, healthy breakfast, comfy, clean quiet room and block and a half from the central dock and market area and across the street from the USNA visitor's entrance. Free parking in back was a bonus. The hosts were friendly and attentive to our needs.

Hi there thanks for the very positive comments. We aim to make everyone's stay in Annapolis a fun and memorable experience, we have met many of the owners/general managers of the restaurants and shops around town. We aim for a modern experience but with the feel of the historic district and with notice yes we can meet any dietary needs. Had a one night visit in Annapolis and the accommodations, breakfast, hosts and other guests were just wonderful. Even had off street parking which is rare in Annapolis without paying for it. We were even able to enjoy the New Year Eve's fireworks from our second floor room.

Hi Tom, thanks for the nice words. We'll let you know if we decide to open up rooms for the late August visit you are considering. We had a good group for NYE and you two were a lot of fun despite the wet weather. We've expanded our parking area making it even easier to come and go. Yes we look forward to seeing you again!

Hi Dave, The most recently renovated was our Fleet Suite on the second floor. The Far East room was redone about 10 years ago.
