Comfortable room, convenient location, nice food. After a tired and long canal transit from Athletic to Pacific. Then a 20 minutes boat ride from mid sea in 30'C heat. Was fully exhausted, just needed a cold shower some food to eat and a good night sleep. Achieved everything at the Plaza. 🙏🙏🙏

This hotel has recently been renovated in the common areas but the bathroom is in desperate need of remodeling. The handle on the toilet kept falling off and the bathtub was stained and grimey. The pool is on the 4th floor and was a bit outdated but was never crowded which was great. We were upgraded to a suite which was very nice but ultimately, this Crowne Plaza fell short of other Crowne Plazas I've stayed at. It's in a non-touristy part of town but a short (and cheap) uber ride from anywhere you would want to go. There are numerous restaurants and corner shops within walking distance. We did not have problems with noise except on New Year's Eve - the hotel next door was blaring loud music until 6am.

This is a great hotel for business travelers: close to the metro, close to the financial center of Panama, close to key Government offices, close to car rentals, close to the church, close to the University, close enough to the Casco Viejo for night life lovers, close enough to Albrook Mall for shoppers, close enough to transport to the Panama Canal.
The staff try really hard and that alone made the stay worth it. They acknowledge and appreciate members of the IHG group's loyalty program, and that too made a huge difference. The hotel has imperfections but so do all hotels, so what makes it easy for one to overlook the small imperfections and enjoy one's overall stay is the treatment by the staff. So thank you.
The breakfast was OK. The selection of fruits and vegetables in the morning made it convenient for vegans.
The pool and the gym are OK. We especially liked the laundry room which is very convenient for business travelers.
The room was kept clean every day by the cleaning staff who were very friendly and courteous. We had a great balcony room overlooking the boulevard in front the hotel. It cost a little more but was worth it. There were great views from that balcony and it was a great place to relax after a long day of work.

I would have given 3 stars had it not been for the fact that I awoke with bites on my feet and legs. It is located directly across the street from a church and the bells going off at strange times (5:25, 6:54, 11:23 - all AM) are loud. As mentioned in other reviews, it is a bit dated, though it seems they recently updated the dining and bar area. When we first entered the room, it was freezing cold. After turning off the AC, the room became very humid. Housekeeping brought in a dehumidifier to our room from the several that were running in the hallway. The bedspreads were stained. There were no tissues in the room and with two beds and 4 guests, we only had 2 bath and 1 hand towels. The pool seems a lot bigger in the photos than it actually is. And out of the three elevators, there's always at least one elevator not working each time we've been here. I've stayed here a few times already but I think this is it for me.

The bathroom needed a thorough cleaning. We had to call twice to get soap for the bathroom. Low water pressure. Toilet temperamental in flushing. The room was on the fifth floor facing the street with traffic noise and loud music. The surrounding area was not inviting; guards with automatic weapons were posted at the entrance to the church across the street.

I usually stick to only positive reviews however, I would not recommend it this hotel to anyone and don’t understand some of the effusive reviews. It looks nothing like the photos. Our room smelled of mildew and the toilet wouldn’t stop running. The room was stark with chipped paint and cracks everywhere. The lights flickered as they floundered on the night stands. Only one elevator was working and lights were completely out on the first floor giving the appearance of being abandoned. Outside the hotel, the curb entrance was littered with empty plastic bottles and food containers. Customer service was nonexistent and unprofessional. We are seasoned, adaptable travelers and enjoy all types of people and experiences so there were zero demands on our part. They also advertise a free shuttle to the airport but were told that was “ only on the internet” and not real. If you choose to stay at a Crowne Plaza, stay at the one near the airport. It’s gorgeous and clean.

The most outstanding part of our experience at this hotel was the customer service. I believe that it is not the absence of problems that make an establishment great, rather the ability to address them in a professional manner that is impressive. We had a number of issues. First, we were assigned to the wrong room but that was changed within minutes. The lamp didn't work and that was fixed quickly. There was a musty smell in our room from the high humidity but that was addressed by giving us a dehumidifier. The toilet stopped working and that was fixed within minutes. Every single employee was courteous, kind and helpful. The atmosphere was very positive. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Our room was cleaned every day and we had a great relationship with the housekeeper. The only thing that was worrisome was that the phone in our room did not work and they were not able to have it repaired during our stay but I believe this was out of the control of the hotel.
The bed was the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. I am a terrible sleeper when I travel and I slept well every night.
Our experience may have been unusual with some of the problems. I would only recommend that a room is checked thoroughly to make sure everything is working well before guests check in. However, this did not negatively impact our stay. We absolutely loved this hotel. The people make it great!
The only thing I didn't like was the terrible odour from garbage I think, that was a deterrent for us to be outside at the pool.
We rented an apartment style suite. There is a grocery store a short walk away and the hotel has a laundry room at no charge.

It is a hotel with excellent location in the city center, safe and close to supermarket, warehouses and tourist places. The facilities are not new but are very well preserved. It has an outdoor pool and gym. My biggest surprise was that the room had a kitchen equipped with stove, microwave, refrigerator and kitchenware. Plus dining room and sofa bed, and a very comfortable bedroom. Ideal for Family Trips with multiple children or people with special food. It was a short but pleasant stay.

Yes, the hotel offers airport shuttle service...but, check your boarding pass carefully because you may need to coordinate the shuttle. The bus service starts at 5.00am-5.30am and takes you to the airport every 30 minutes
I was on the 5th floor in a double room overlooking the church of Carmen and the city. I have to assume a higher floor would have an even better view. The most spectacular view is at the pool. I loved the pool deck.

The beaches are about one hour by car from the hotel and there are options in the Pacific and the Atlantic site, also i can recommend you a trip to Taboga Island that takes about 30 minutes by boat and from the hotel to the peer is about 15 minutes by taxi.
