Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room i was checked into had dirty sheets, filthy smell and broken knobs etc.Upon complaining to change my room, reception tells me all rooms sold out but someone is coming to change sheets and freshen up the room . I agreed on that as well, wait for an hour none turned up, within that period called reception 2 times, porters turns up an hour later and tells me ,can you show me what you saying,i asked him to smell the sheets and Telephone,to my suprise he does and immediately asks receptionist that we need to shift, within that span ,they had a spare room whereas when i was complaining they had deaf ears.I would never recommend this hotel to anyone ever

This is the most disgusting filthy hotel I have stayed at. Filthy sheets, hair in the bed, blood stains on furniture, black mould in bathrooms, no hot water, broken windows bogged up with toilet paper, green growth on toilet which smelled like a dirty urinal. Stayed one of three booked nights and found a new hotel. I will be referring this with photos to the health authorities

Thank you to Inia & Gitta for being so very helpful and friendly. I was in a big hurry to check in, moving from a bad hotel to the Peninsula Hotel because I had to drop my luggage and groceries, before I left for a River Tubing Excursion. Both Receptionists quickly checked me in and found me a fridge for my precious cheese (in Fiji, it certainly is precious). When the shuttle transfer for the activity did not arrive on time, they immediately called the company and followed through. Very professional! Although the room was small, it was clean and perfectly adequate for US $52/N. Also, the breakfast food, Bar drinks were fine. Thank you for your kindness.

A very lovely hotel, my family received complimentary breakfast which was worth with. The rooms are awesome with a television provided and fully air-conditioning room. The washroom facility is kept clean with hot water system. The stuffs are friendly always checking if we need our room clean or need new towels or toilet paper. Such a lovely hotel would recommend people to stay in this hotel.

In a previous review, I shared an experience of extremely bad bed bugs at the Peninsula Hotel. I now know that this is not a unique experience. In July, students staying in Suva before boarding the Stastraadlemkhul to set sail for Lau and Tongan waters experienced a major outbreak of bed bugs at the Peninsula. As a result, the vessel had to quarantine for some days before departure. The hotel was alerted to the problem. They should have taken urgent action. They should do so now!

This hotel had the worst bed bugs Ive ever witness’s except for in Calcutta. Three days later they are still really itchy and uncomfortable. If you want to ruin your holiday, this is the place to stay. Management clearly led standards slip during the covid crisis

Got a standard room with double bed. It's good for a person, might get a little congested with two. Had some issues with getting the correct water temperature in the shower. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided in the room. Room has a TV with a few channels and air conditioning. Safe is available in the room to keep your valuables and i got a nice view from ny room. The room looked a bit old but overall its alright, you get what you paid for. Would advise to book during specials (i went during the $99 local special deal) Customer service was very nice. Hotel has a shop and restaurant (Hillcrest), swimming pool, bar and lounge area Breakfast wasn't included with the room but for an additional $15fjd you get fruits , tea/ coffee/ juice, Weetbix/Cornflakes, toast with jam and butter for breakfast

I was here for a week for a work trip. The trip was absolutely fabulous so that meant I could mostly laugh at our experiences in this wild hotel. I was moved room so many times due to squelling door locks (yes!) and other things falling apart. The cafe is good however! :)

Please, please, please AVOID.We were vacationing in Fiji and saw on line photos but upon visiting we realized how we were fooled. I called this a “Wilson Way” hotel from Stockton,CA. Our first room was so filthy that we had to request for a change. The second room was equally bad. The only thing good about the second room was the AC was a little better. The bath tub was moldy, AC condensate dripping along the wall, door locks all tempered and broken, hot water could burn you to death, tiles all black, coach was filthy I wouldn’t even let my dog sit on it. I booked a deluxe room thinking it will be nicer than standard room but it was a mistake! Online rate was $165/ night but upon checkout, it was $268. The website said free internet but upon checking in, they want extra for it. 2 out of the 3 days, they ran out of breakfast. Cereal was gone, fruit was gone and juice was gone. Only thing left was coffee and toast! The only positive thing I can say is the employees were really really nice, respectful and courteous. This was my first and last stay here. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

We needed to find a location at very short notice. Don’t be fooled by the clean and modern entrance and reception area, what awaits is worse than horrible. Dirty stained sheets, mouldy rooms and shower, threadbare towels, windows that don’t close and really quite disgusting and filthy. Have never felt unsafe in a hotel room before until now. This is based on two rooms being booked so not a once off event. Have stayed at better caravan parks in a tent! Do yourself a favour - AVOID
