Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Building has aged without proper renovations to structure which is a shame as it has classical revival features. Room was sizeable but had a strong smell, stained furniture, no hot water, no tea/coffee. Buffet breakfast was very basic and I would recommend excluding it. No security deposit required, check in and out was a breeze. Double check Seoul takeaway prices if ordering in room as prices vary from menu. Location is the most positive aspect but wouldn't recommend hotel at all.

This is a basic B&B place, not a hotel. Also, I often found roaches in my room. Had to eventually move out to another hotel. Breakfast is served in your room; it's not a buffet. And what they served was not appetizing at all.

The first room assigned (101) smelled of stale smoke. But almost all the rooms are old, worn and run-down and there was inconsistent housekeeping service. Towels (which were very thin) were not changed on some days and used toiletries were not replaced as well. Initially, there was no shower curtain as well but it suddenly made an appearance after a few days. The bathroom's ventilation window opens to the corridor so female travelers may want to take note.

The hot and cold water controls were swapped and the temperature ran between spurts of scalding hot and very cold water. There were lots of strange stains at the sink.

The kettle had murky water in it and had strange growth in it so it was unusable. The balcony was dirty so it was rather unusable. The beds were sunken and there were no hangers. Wifi was not existent and really available at reception and even so, it was really slow.

The pros were that there were tons of counter space on the bathroom's vanity and both the room and bathroom were rather large. When service was done, the housekeeper could really make a mean bed with impressively straight and flat bedsheet. The view of Suva city from the breakfast room (the one with bad breakfast) was excellent and the toilet paper is of surprisingly good quality.

Very poor hotel, run down, water pressure is off from 10pm until 7am every day for the 3 days spent there. Old and facilities with bedbugs Never going back. Breakfast wad included but was never served to us and reception never answers the phone.
Pathetic

My wife and I stayed for three nights in a "deluxe" room on the second floor. I was told when booking that only deluxe rooms were available. I did sense though that occupancy of the hotel was low so it may be that ordinary rooms were not considered good enough. At FJ$150 per night the price was very reasonable in comparison with other Suva hotels. The room was of an older colonial style but was thankfully clean and comfortable with air-conditioning and a nice tiled modern bathroom. The hotel is very close to the Suva business centre, Parliament buildings, Fiji Archives and the Anglican cathedral. We found it very convenient. The Korean restaurant on the top floor had good food, especially the tuna, and Scott's restaurant beside the pool had first class food of European cuisine. Neither was cheap but there were nearby food bars. We found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful and would not hesitate to stay there again. We enjoyed our time there. I felt that the hotel deserved more patronage than it appeared to get -- probably because they didn't seem to advertise much. Perhaps that is why their rates are lower than other Suva hotels.

Visited the hotel with family. Had booked deluxe rooms but some smelt of smoke, and other off putting odours. We were then sent to other rooms. We were never offered a credit on the difference. The hotel also doesn't have room service. Glasses were not changed. A brothel is right next door and uses the hotel for clients too. Not safe for families, not recommended at all.

I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a business trip to Suva. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I find accommodation hard to find in Suva that is clean and affordable but I am happy to say that this place is both of those things. I had a standard room for $105 FJD and the room itself was great. Spacious (a Queen bed and a single) and had a large balcony, fridge, writing desk and chair and also a decent sized bathroom. This place also has a small pool (which I dididn't have time to use) and also a bar and a Korean restaurant on the top floor. Also next door was a basic spa place which was good for a relaxing massage. It's also just a short walk to the main part of town but is far enough away to be able to have a quiet nights sleep. I will def stay here again for my next trip to Suva.

This was simply the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Dimly light room, dirty floor, stained sheets & towels, mosquitos in the room, upstairs guests dragging furniture around all night and to cap it all off, an old t-short from a previous guest hanging behind the bathroom door.

Breakfast was a watery juice drink, 2 cold sausages, a greenish boiled egg & some cold bread with some withered salad - no tea/coffee

Stay away!

When I arrived, I was given a room on the second floor, no view and very dark. Later I got a room at 5th floor. However, used soap from previous guest was not removed. The fridge contained stuff from the previous guest. Laundry charges are about 3 times higher than much better hotels in Suva. The breakfast is very poor. WiFi signals very weak. Staff is very pleasant!

The ONLY good thing about this place is location to CBD.

The rest is very poor. Old dusty dark rooms. Appalling breakfast (you are even expected to clear own plates). (Beautiful cheap fresh fruit is readily available in Fiji, but certainly not here). Internet continously dropping out. TV channels not available. The list goes on and is a reflection of owners/managers who cares attitude? Sad state of affairs. Needs huge shake up. Understand (subsequently) that Penninsula and Quest are much better options.
