As soon as got to the resort I knew I had made the right choice, the greeting was way better than a 10 out of 10. I arrived early in the morning 7.5hrs before check in time of 3pm but was still checked in almost 5hrs early. The check in was outstanding, so much information was given on the hotel and on what I could do while waiting for check in, I was given wifi access while I was waiting for my room to be allocated. You're given a free towel with carry bag as a gift/souvenir to take home with you. I was given a bottle of water as soon as I arrived. I was given more information about the hotel by the staff member who drove me and my luggage to my room. The hotel staff are the best staff I have come across in all my years of travelling and staying in hotels, I can not begin to tell you how fantastic they are, the are attentive, cheerful, alert to guests needs, most of the time you don't even need to tell them what you want, they actually take the initiative to tell you how they can help you, and you don't get that in many hotels now a days, they are just fantastic and a massive credit to this hotel chain. I have stayed in a lot of big hotels, especially in Dubai where standards are very very high, and I love the Atlantis Palm where I have stayed many many times in the last 14 years because the staff are outstanding and I never thought I'd find staff as good as them in any other hotels, but I have to say that InterContinental Resort Fiji have matched Atlantis Palms very high standards of staff and service delivering, the attentiveness, care to small details, politeness, cheerfulness, helpfulness the list of great things goes on and on and it stretches across every department of the hotel. Absolutely outside from the moment you set foot in the hotel right up until you leave. I was staying in Fiji for 10 nights and split the nights between Intercontinential and Shangra-la and I really really regret doing that, my Shangra-la stay is horrible, its dirty, noisy, reception and I realised that from the second I tried to check in, it was the worst experience I have had, it has been so bad in the first 3 hours that I'm not going to stay the whole 5 nights that I booked and I'm leaving 2 nights earlier than planned and I've booked to go back to Intercontinental. I'm prepared to cut my losses at the Shangra-la just to get out of there, I would never recommend the Shangra-la. There is a very high standard at the InterContinental that I have only experience when staying in the big hotels in Dubai. The Intercontinental rooms are immaculate, very clean, very spacious, lovely big towels that wrap around you. The food is also amazing, with a great selection. The Spa was amazing and will leave you wanted to live out your stay in a spa room, I had to remember to take my body with me back to my hotel room. Beach is lovely, pool areas are lovely, I really need to spend the whole 10 nights there instead split my holiday in 2. I was so well looked after by Asinate, Tity, Save, Amele, and so many other staff members (too many to mentioned). I can't wait to get back there in 3 days.

What a special place. We were lucky enough to spend 10 wonderful nights with “Family” at the Intercontinental Golf resort and Spa Fiji. The stand out as always in Fiji is the warmth in which the Fijians welcome you as “Family” and genuinely engage with you, at the Intercontinental Golf resort and Spa it’s another level of friendliness in wanting to make your stay special, you cannot fake this. Our room was very nice, a bit close to central facilities were functions are held at night noise wise but otherwise very good, clean tidy and servicing was exceptional. All our dining experiences were very good with service again excellent, Special mention to the team at Navo Restaurant, pretty special dining experience we had and well worth the money. Intercontinental’s reputation of quality and service was represented on our visit at the highest level.

Luxurious 5-star accommodations. Impressive from the moment we entered the lobby to the entire complex. We enjoyed this upscale resort, beautiful room, nice view, modern facilities, modern, separate bathroom with modern toilet. The nice breeze throughout our stay was nice to combine with the warm weather. The A/C worked well and we were happy with the restaurant choices on the resort, we did not need to venture out to eat. Most of all, the resort staff were all wonderful with the beautiful Fijian friendliness, sweetness. Indeed, our Fiji trip was highlighted most of all by the people of Fiji.

The initial welcome was pleasing and set the scene however arrival to room was totally confusing and frustrating. The room although clean was tired and requires a refurb. Amenities in bathroom were scant and the HSK service erratic. Pestered by the spa person at breakfast most days, regardless of us informing her we had been already. One of F&B the outlets seemed to continuously apologize over a mix up which was overbearing. I get the "bula thing" but this was just too much. Perhaps they have a lack of senior staff over the 5 day period, there may have been a lack of direction, ...maybe. The general location, footprint / activities were sensational which saved the visit. Did not think it was Intercon standard.

Bula Excursion67534921810, Thank you for sharing your personal views and feedback via TripAdvisor following your recent stay at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa. We are very pleased to hear you found our location and activities sensational however disappointed you found the arrival confusing. We are sorry to learn of housekeeping being erratic and Spa staff at breakfast, the Spa appointments do fill quickly so the team are doing want they can, to try to accommodate guests at specific times and I am sorry if you felt they were pestering you. In relation to bathroom amenities the bathrooms have Pure Fiji Ginger Lily Body & Handwash and Body Lotion at the basin, Pure Fiji Body & Handwash by the bath, Pure Fiji Ginger Lily Shampoo, Conditioner and Bodywash in the shower area, also in amenity box you’ll find sewing kit, nail file, shower cap, facial pad, comb and several other items. You can always contact our Instant Service Centre if you need additional items like Shaver and dental kits. The team note the issue in the restaurant and the way they handled the apology and regret if you felt it was overbearing. In relation to “Bula” it is the Fijian greeting for hello, or welcome – and yes, you'll hear it over and over again when you visit Fiji. Bula literally translates to “life,” but it has many meanings. When Fijians use it as a greeting, they are also wishing you good health. Excursion67534921810, we acknowledge that there were aspects where we fell short of meeting your expectations. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by our facilities, and we want to assure you that we are actively working on a refurbishment with our owners FNPF. Your feedback is invaluable, and we hope for the chance to provide a much-improved experience on your next visit. I booked a 1-night stay for my wife and me; a layover between flights from Samoa and to LA. I'd done the same at a Nadi resort before but wanted to try the Intercontinental this time, and was told that arriving early and staying late would be OK. It's a beautiful property. The resort architecture compliments the tropical landscape, the buildings and walkways are light and airy, and Natadola Beach is the best on Viti Levu. The location is best if you want to chill in place or have a car for adventuring, although there is a Rosie Holidays booth on property for tours. With a couple of exceptions our stay was wonderful. Our transfer were organized for us at a competitive price. We were allowed to snooze by the pool and order drinks while waiting for our room (which was gorgeous) to be ready at 11am, three hours before the normal check in time. The buffet breakfast is enormous, the evening dining options varied (three restaurants), local events, like the fire dance, are free and heartfelt. There were a lot of families at the resort and the staff clearly like spoiling the kids, but there are options (pool, dining) to avoid youngsters if you wish. There is a lot to like about the Intercontinental. Two things left a strange feeling. One was confusion on checkout time. The hotel had arrange a 6pm airport transfer but I was woken by a call saying we'd be leaving at 2pm. No explanation, indifference to the four extra hours I would spend at the airport, but I eventually figured out they needed the room at 11am, the normal check out time. That's OK - we have no claim past check out - but can we remain (and spend money) on property as promised? I got literally 4-5 different answers about hotel policy in the next 12 hours and waiting for each one left us anxious and confused (eventually we remained, along with several other guests). Also, perimeter security was surprisingly aggressive. We walked from the breakfast area to the chapel and were questioned by a guard who said we weren't allowed on the property and he'd had to talk to us before. More confusion, some walkie talkie conversations, and then, "Oh, you're part of the [hotel] family - we're happy for you to be here". We were questioned twice more by other guards, and pre-emptively identified ourselves on two more occasions. And I'm an middle-aged white guy; one of the hotel's core guest demographics. Overall this is a beautiful property that welcomes families as well as adults, and provides what a corporate training program thinks is very good service, for as long as you're paying. It could be anywhere with a similar climate - Hawai'i, Bali, Thailand. Occasionally the true Fijian spirit of hospitality shines through the script and that is worth waiting for.

Beautiful resort, very big, we had a nice upgrade for our wedding anniversary to a lagoon view room which was huge. The resort is so big that you need to ring for a buggy to take you around the resort. You don't get a real feeling of Fijian hospitality. Breakfast was great. The adults only pool is beautiful. Room service is a hit and miss. Beach is amazing. As for jetski hire, you can only go around in circles.

Did a stopover when returning from NZ, flying Fiji Airways, and was only able to stay for 3 days. All of the staff are super friendly & helpful, and service is top-notch. My large suite right on the beach was terrific! I'll admit I was surprised by the number of families with very young children, many of whom were running amok and it appeared the parents expected staff to look after them. Even at the bar in the evenings, there were kids screaming at the top of their lungs and the parents didn't bat an eye. I'd like to say I'd return, but not sure I would, instead opting for an adults-only resort (not that a bunch of drunk adults would necessarily behave any better). Not too far from Nadi (1 hr by car), is easily accessible and has a great beach and grounds. On the day of my departure while waiting for car service, there was live music and a terrific vocalist in the lounge....was a wonderful send-off.

Bula! We enjoyed 10 days in pradise. Lush grounds, and while a full hotel at times, never felt busy and always a cool seat/spot available. We opted for a lagoon room and was a nice alternative to the ocean rooms, bit more private and less $$. Booking the cabana dinner is a must as is a dinner in general at Navo. Some nights we simply opted for room service, or enjoyed having our same table at Toba. Resorts entertainment is a great variety, but simply, one cannot beat the location on the main island oh and the golf. Cannot wait to return.

The Intercontinental in FIJI is a unique place of pure joy,”no hurry no worry“ with sublime people and numerous vistas to impress you every day. The staff at Toba bar and grill were fantastically attentive seated in the restaurant and alongside the pool, Kama lounge provided beachfront seats with delicious cocktails, great service and array of choice at Sanasana and the amazing Navo restaurant situated right on the beach; and our favourite the Executive Lounge/Club where we spent majority of our time being looked after by remarkable and unforgettable individuals who always greeted us with a welcoming smile every morning when we walked in and our own freshly squeezed celery juice to start the day. Special mention to the following staff who made us feel like home and looked after us so well during our stay: Scoby Peggy Délai Waiti Loddi Saimoni Abbo Pax Pio Wendy Sikeli Chef Chris x 2 Leni Miri Sublime Spa team and gorgeous manager Nirmala. Special thanks to the amazing therapists Mère and Cinni 🙏🏼 The GM Mr Lachlan manages an impressive hotel with an extraordinary team. You will not be disappointed except when you have to leave this slice of paradise.. Vinaka FIJI for an amazing holiday - we cannot wait to be back Love Ali, Deb & Samara Hnaien
