The majority of the staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to meet your requests (within reason). The entertainment was local and although it's not something I would have picked it was good. A peaceful hotel - not too much noise. Food was great and reasonably priced. Would stay there again!

Just returned from 3 week trip to Viti Levu and stayed at Nadi Bay again. As always I received a great "welcome home" and huge smile from Ella when i got to reception. The staff, from reception through to housekeeping, cafe, restaurant, tours, massage and spa centre and the maintenance guys are just excellent.
Never a moment went by without a Bula! Peter how are you? Full credit to the gorgeous Mela who manages the resort so well.
3 weeks gave me time to explore Fiji in greater detail and my trips and tours were made all the better knowing I had a fabulous place to come back to each day. A cafe(for breakfast and lunch) and an a la carte licensed restaurant meant I never went hungry although i did visit a number of other restaurants and bars around the island. The restaurant food was exceptionally good and tremendous value, always fresh well presented-- a little bit of Fiji love in the content ---well done and thank you guys.
My one criticism would be the sad presentation at breakfast. Brekkie should be the celebration of a brand new day with exciting events ahead. The presentation of sliced bread, peanut butter and melting butter and jam coupled with a few slices of fruit was a sorry sight and the charge of $2 for coffee --but free tea --made no sense. Cooked breakfasts are available at additional cost.
My private en-suite air-cond room was immaculately clean, spacious and serviced on a daily basis with fresh sheets, towels, soaps and shampoo. Nadi Bay Resort is very well positioned for cabs or buses to the airport, Nadi Town, and also to various beaches (although the local Nadi bay beach has black sand and a lot of rubbish).
Cabs on average will charge a flat F$5 for local trips- ask them for quotes for longer journeys.
The hotel has a mix of dorms-- rooms--and large family suites, I never heard one complaint from any of the large mix of guests, be they backpackers or on business.
Since my last visit a shopping complex has opened up just a 5 min. walk from the hotel containing doctor, dentist, chemist,a number of small restaurants, bakery, spa/massage,hairdresser, 2 nightclubs and a large supermarket --the beez kneez for just about all your daily needs.
In finishing I have to say the Nadi Bay is spot on for any Fiji visitor-- not Denarau 5 star --but great, friendly, honest, establishment with wonderful staff and a value for money attitude.
My congratulations to you all and big hugs for my favourite people ---Time to start planning my return ;o) Pete

This is a good option for short stays while you wait to transfer to one of the island resorts of if you fly in Fiji late or leaving on a early flight as they provide free airport pickups. Unfortunately they don't complimentary trips back to the airport but reception is till late and very early if not 24/7 and they will arrange for a taxi to take you to the airport. Rooms are reasonable though prices seem slightly more than they should be for the basic facilities provided. They have several pools separate from each other so you can claim a pool to yourself if lucky. All have a internet cafe and a free cinema that plays new releases.

We were disturbed and confused regarding your severe comments following your families one night visit on 12th December. Your strong comments required us to check on the background to the issues raised. We did confirm that the TV in Apartment 4 was out of order but, it was fixed when our staff became aware of the problem. We apologize if you found the apartment was in some respect unclean. Our investigations resulted in a somewhat contradiction to your complaints e.g. "On checking your guest comments on departure - you state " nice pool, staff not so good, nice room and the Visitors comments book your wrote "nice place"." No complaints were made to staff during your stay. The management

Accommodation is very basic, but decent. I stayed here as part of an Awesome Adventures package. During the 15-20 minutes that I was down at breakfast I had $250 stolen from my locked room. My guess is that the front desk girl that gave me my breakfast voucher went into the room while I was gone and stole the money. It was around 6:45am, so it definitely wouldn't have been housekeeping. This was my first day in Fiji and messed up my entire trip since I had to be at Denaru Marina before 8:30am to travel to the Yasawa Islands. The reaction of the people at the front desk was just, "Your bus is here.". (As part of the package there is a bus transfer to the marina at 7:15am) I had to ask the staff for an incident form to fill out. Unfortunately, I had to stay here at the end of my trip as well because my package was non-transferable. When I arrived back there on Saturday evening I asked to see a manager and was told that he would be in the following morning. I checked at 7am and was told that he would be there at 8am. I checked at 8:10am and was told that he had "gone to the market" and would come up to my room when he returned. I waited in my room until check out time at 10am and never heard from him. I checked out and waited in the lobby until 11am where they printed off a paper saying that I had stated that money had been stolen. Obviously, they didn't care to speak with me about the incident. The way the whole situation was handled was a joke. This is probably something that happens regularly at the hotel. There are so many options in the area; I would try some place else.

I did not want to write a bad review, but I have to. After all silly things I ignored (did not get cereals one day, than juice the other day, than towels) "big things" came up. No water for 8 hours (there was some reconstruction going in front of the hotel, but none told us in advance. They informed us about special deals for Christmas, but did not say that there will be no water and they are sorry. ????), dinner at Antoinnete's restaurant was horrible. We were waiting for another table to be served first, as it was a big group.. Than have more than one waitress! After eating a half of rare pizza, came back to the room with no water, so I packed my stuff and told my boyfriend to give me more money, so we can go to Denarau next morning and get out from Nadi Bay for god. After our last breakfast we went to a room, took our bags and went to the reception to grab a taxi. When I was paying, I realized I am missing the money my boyfriend gave me. So I would like to say "thank you" to the staff member who was so mean and stole my 200$ from the wallet, which was in the closed handbag sitting on a bed in locked room (21B). If you were thinking I wont realize less money or I wont tell anyone, you were wrong. I wish I had time to call a police, but I had my boat and stay on Malolo Island already booked. I feel sorry for myself. Fiji was my dream country after my studies of Geography and I forced my boyfriend to visit this country and see the real Fiji, not just a fancy resort, that is the reason we stayed in Nadi for first few days. Thank you for this experience if this was real Fiji! I feel sorry for all the Fijians that they will have such a bad reference from my side, but this is my revenge for stealing my money I wanted to spend for souvenirs. If the person who took my money thought I wont be able to inform others about that, he was wrong. I am not a native speaker, but I am not stupid. And also... I believe in karma. You should to! Bula! Pf.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband before and after our 5 night trip around the islands. I can honestly say we had a fantastic time, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were basic, but very clean. The food in the restaurant for dinner was exceptional and we were treated so well our whole stay. We were on a budget, but I would stay here if I wasn't, just perfect. The location was a few minutes walk to a bus for Nadi Town and Port Denarau, very easy to use and so cheap. Highly recommend this little gem of a hotel.

I would fully recommend this hotel to everybody. I stayed at Nadi Bay for a whole 2.5 weeks with friends and I enjoyed my stay immensely. From the moment we arrived at the airport, our transfer was not far behind. The warm welcome we all received on checking in and our room was clean and spacious with comfy beds and fresh towels daily. The hotel pool was a nice place to relax during the day, with lots of sunbeds for everyone and enough shade if needed. The close proximity to shops, restaurants and Denarau marina (only about 10 minutes away, by car) made it so easy to get around. The local bus stop only a 5 minute walk away..taking you into Nadi town, Lautoka etc. I can't speak more highly of the staff...from the girls at the front desk, to the restaurant staff, room attendants, chefs, security and last but not least the two young men who sing and entertain us from monday to saturday...they treated us like family and with their warm smiles and friendly manner always ready to help with whatever you may need. Thankyou for making our stay so amazing!!! We had planned on staying for only 8 nights and then move on, but we kept extending our stay and did day trips out to the islands, which was organised with so much ease at the hotel tour desk. I enjoyed my stay so much that after only 4 weeks, I am going back to Nadi Bay for 4 nights and I cannot wait..It really is my new home away from home. I should also give a huge thumbs up to the exceptional food on the menu..there is so much to choose from and I was quite impressed with the quality of all of my meals. Thankyou Nadi Bay and I will see you all soon...

Wow, thank you for such a great review and we do feel that we deserve it! We are so proud of our staff and they are almost always mentioned in the reviews as a highlight of the stay. It is very much to our advantage the we are so well located allowing you to easily visit the shops and of course many activities and points of interest nearby. So until we see you again in a few weeks 'moce manda' and vinaka!

This hotel is overpriced for the service. Rooms are tired and not very clean. Way over priced compared to other places. Shared facilities which are not too clean. Breakfast the only thing to recommend. The pools were not too clean. No courtesy vehicle to Airport - you have to pay for a taxi - return fare. whereas all the other resorts provide this service. Down a dark side street - not too good at night for security purposes. Would not stay here again.

We note your concern and the comments on the Rooms and Swimming Pool. During the period from 17th December to early January 2013 our Hotel was recovering from the effects of “Evan” a 4 category cyclone which caused major disruption with most Nadi Hotels. Power was out for 13 days, many of our staff, suffering from home damages, were on leave. All rooms and services are now back to normal.

A bit of a mixed bag was recieved in my opinion. The complex itself is beautiful albeit a bit devoid of fellow travellers when i arrived.
Prices seem to vary immensely depending on where you book. Advertised online and at the hotel it will cost $40FJD for a 4 bed mixed dorm with Air Con. I booked via another popular booking site and i got it for $25FJD although upon check in the lady argued the price and tried to charge me the $40 per night and if it wasn't for my insistence she would have.
Free breakfast was disappointing with only toast and fruit on offer. The buffet style layout includes cereal and hot drinks but i was informed by the staff that if i wanted cereal or a drink id have to pay extra which seemed a little tight. I guess this maybe due to the reduced rate i found online.
Wifi and drinks i found extortionately priced. $10FJD for 1 hour internet when the internet cafe along the road charges $2FJD for the same time or McDonalds 5 minutes walk away offers free wifi. Water is nearly $5FJD well over double what you can buy for down the road at the supermarket.
Despite these annoyances the property is beautiful and relaxing, its a short walk from the night life and the food at the hotel is good and reasonably priced. There seemed a lack of people staying at the hotel when i was there which made it hard to meet too many fellow travellers but the people i did meet were friendly. I wouldnt let what i have mentioned put anyone off staying here. Just be aware of what you pay for your room and what you purchase inside the hotel when you are here.

I know that your schedule is a normal occurrence. E-mail the hotel and ask for recommendation on driver. Would assume they would charge a one-day rate even if you do not stay the night. Taxis are plentiful at airport but I too like to have something dependable via scheduling.

they do have shuttle services to and from the airport with extra cost. but you need to inform the hotel in advance so they can arrange a pick up for you. i used this service when i visited Nadi and stayed at this hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Nadi area.
