Unfortunately this hotel was one of the most poorly maintained hotels I have been to. The air conditioning works but it sounded like a freight train, the free wi-fi didn't unless you stood on your head by the door.

Breakfast well let's just say don't bother with breakfast even though its included. Shocking service once again I came across fijian ladies who clearly hate their job. The food was basic, half missing and you can't get anyone's attention to fix it.

Honestly you can do much better elsewhere.

We stayed at the JetSet Accommodation for one night in mid October 2013, and unlike others who have provided reviews before us, the greeting upon arrival wasn't warm. In fact, there was no greeting at all! It more less looked like the owner or one of his sons or relatives had walked into reception from their garden-work, to check us in. There was no 'Bula!' (Hello) or even a simple 'how are you?', and when we tried to engage in a conversation with the gentleman, he didn't seem to want to return the favor, so we went on quietly on our own way.

The place is very quiet, and the room was spacious, but upon entering the room, you notice that each electrical appliance including TV and lamps are all unplugged and neatly coiled away. All these you will have to plug and setup on your own. There are huge painted-on instructions on the door and beneath the air conditioner on the wall, to turn lights and the air conditioner off when the room is not in use. This didn't really give us that welcoming feeling that the country is known for, but one of a very limited, tightly squeezed uneasy feeling. To top it all, after checking in, you have your one roll of pink toilet paper and two packs of soaps delivered to the room by the only friendly staff (wish we had remembered the Fijian girls name) there, and that even created a more uncomfortable feeling towards our stay, even for the one night. The bed was comfortable, but the one white sheet that was provided for cover doesn't allow easily for two people.

If you are wishing to experience the outgoing, traditional 'Fiji' atmosphere, we would not recommend staying at the JetSet Accommodation in Nadi. There are far better accommodation close by, such as the Smugglers Cove Resort (a ten minute walk down the road from the JetSet), which we had stayed at on our arrival. Smugglers Cove Resort offered a far better service, and experience with the local culture and people!

We booked here about 2-3mths before arriving in Fiji. 10 days before book in we called to make sure everything was ok. They couldnt find our booking at 1st, but finally did and gave us a tour of the place. It seemed too good to be true. When we returned 10 days later, they couldnt find our booking at all. After waiting a while they took us up to a room. The room hadnt been open for weeks............it stank of must. We opened all doors and windows and after a while it was habitable. But no hot water jug, the sugar had all gone to liquid and the coffee was caked hard. We had to ask for towels and a sheet. After that was all sorted I went down to see what was on the menu for dinner, to be greeted with....no cook!!
Just as well we had a car so we could go into town and get something to eat. Turned out there was no cook all week, but we were never told, just learned as we went. After dinner went to watch TV only to find no adaptor plug. 1/2 later they returned with 1. when we went down to breakfast next morning we were served egg on toast, not the choice we were told we could pick from the menu. We had egg on toast every morning, but it filled the spot and was well presented. We had hot water 2 days out of 6, and the towels were never changed. This is a lovely place but I think management need to attend a management school, as I think the place has great potential. Also having someone available that can speak english would be a help

Our family member booked the hall at Jetset Accommodation for a function. The decorators of the hall arrived in the morning to set up for a function in the evening. The day, while overcast was extremely humid. The DJ was also trying to set up his electronic devices. For reasons beyond our understanding the owners of the place kept turning the power off. They advised that we had no need for the air-conditioning or the fans and we should be able to set-up the hall without these luxuries. When we questioned why this was the case they advised that when they agreed to give us the hall for setting up during the day they didn't allow for electricity in the quotation. The hall lacks in natural light and windows and with the Fijian weather it was beyond impossible for any of our decorators or us to do anything. The DJ's equipment could also not be tested and the fact that they kept turning the power off without any notice meant that it was causing damage to these electronic devices. They also advised that we would be able to cool drinks in the fridge there, but this was also not possible with them turning the power off. The husband (owner) kept saying that his wife would not allow for the power to be turned on. After much discussion he finally provided the phone number of his wife so that we were able to talk to her. She was the most rudest of people that we have ever spoken to. She said that we didn't have the means to pay for the electricity and that we were to pay 'RIGHT NOW' if we expected for power to be provided otherwise they would only provide power from 5pm onwards for a 6.30 function. After finally paying $90 for each hour that we needed the power, they turned the power on. When we finally turned on all of the equipment, the electricity shorted because it couldn't cope with the overload of the power. We were lucky that we paid extra to get the electricity during the day because had this been discovered at 5pm in the afternoon, it would have been an ultimate embarrassment in front of our guests who had travelled from overseas to attend this function.
They also initially advised that we could do all of the cooking on site. When it came to the morning of the function and we had brought all of our ingredients and pots to cook in they advised that this was now not possible. At the last minute we had to find another venue for our cooking facilities. We came back in the afternoon with all of our cooked food only to be asked by the owner of the premises why we cooked at another venue when they had another kitchen for us to cook in.
The whole experience involved mixed messages and an extreme lack of customer service. The wife's attitude was beyond deplorable and caused extreme stress on a day which was meant to be a happy occasion for our family.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. We also had stayed in two rooms for the night. The air-conditioning was not working and the place did not have any hot water. The kitchens that were in the hall were disgusting and in a way it was a blessing that we found another place to cook our food.
This was the worst experience that I have had with accommodation in Fiji.
When we went to leave the hotel and were packing our luggage into the car, the owner had the audacity to ask us whether we had left the towels. Our family never use towels or bedding in any hotel and always take our own towels and sheets. His comments made us feel like thieves and in short was unbelievable that he would even think to make a comment like that. The towels too were disgusting so there was no need to take them.
And if you're planning on using the pool, it appears as if there has been no water in there for months.
My family and I found Jetset to be the worst places to stay and would not recommend it to anyone especially if you're travelling from overseas.

Our flight was delayed, so Fiji Airways sent us to Jetset to layover for 8 hours. We didn't stay half-an-hour. Lights didn't work, phones didn't work, the bathroom looked nasty. We had a lovely view of the dumpster. We were told that the only restaurant in the area that was "safe" was McDonalds. No thank you. We went straight back to the airport and were taken to another hotel (Raffles) that was absolutely fine.

First of all; we are backpackers and have stayed at the most disgusting and cheap places, but this was just too much.

At first they didn't even pick us up at the airport eventhough we had talked with them about it. We had to wait two hours at the airport (and we arrived late in the evening) until we could get in touch with them so they could pick us up. And then, they said it was our fault of some reason and when we showed them the mail they got quite surprised and had forgotten about us.

They actually recommended us to eat at another restaurant and not their own, of some reason?

Then our room.. There was a HUGE cockroach in the bathroom and ants all over the place and the bed. Actually so was the anthill in the headboard. We can stand a cockroach (ofcourse they are all over in these kind of climates) but the anthill in the bed just seemed limp.

The staff were rude and didn't understand why we wanted to change room, until the end when we actually cancelled our booking.

And the location is very bad. No public beaches near, even if they say so.

Stay at smugglers cove instead!

Upon arrival at the airport, no pickup as requested!! Greeted by the Lovely Fijian staff at the reception was the only nice part there of the week. Owner was an ignorant indian guy who didnt even say hello as we passed & we originally thought he was staff! Went into our room, had to be let in as the key would not work, floors where dirty bathroom disgusting and wardrobe broken and the room smelt badly. Asked to move & in room two, again the door key would not work so had to be let in!! Went in & to say the room was a renovators dream would not be a lie(&this was a premium room??) we are used to roughing it but please, does the manager not have any standards?? Into the bathroom & in the bin was rubbish and the bin was rusty, the shower curtain was mouldy and broken & the sink also... I could go on but it gets even worse! The pictures we saw advertising this hellhole dump must have been from elsewhere not here! Out onto the balcony & we had one chair for two people a rusty table and nails etc sticking out everywhere! Looked out at our ahem view&it was a building site where the carpark should have been, workers sitting around wating lunch & then a digger turned up & a jackhammer was turned on at the entrance of the hotel as the workmen started to demolish (not a lie),the front of the hotel, upon asking the so-called manager he said nothing to apologise or even attempt to let his guests know what was happening! Even worse to come... Having moved rooms yet again, (3times,3days)we resigned the fact that we were in Gordon Ramsays Hotels from Hell!! We had booked this online & were to get a shock at ahem, breakfast, was to be a light continental offering. What we got was something resembling an egg meant to be fried tho not sure, two slices of tomato, dried undercooked toast, a quarter of a banana(grown over here) & a piece of lettuce??? Oh & a cup of hot milk(later i discovered this was powdered milk) to use for our cup of tea or coffee!! Yuck!!! The "Restaurant" was actually the "Games room" it stank was extremely dirty the chairs old and no effort to clean anything tables cutlery etc. 3 days in a row we got the same chipped mugs(we thought maybe they would get better but no!) none of the cools etc where fiji so maybe this is acceptable in india but we were holidaying in Fiji so expected a little more but again the manager didnt seem to care! We stupidly agreed for him to organise a day trip big mistake we imagined a beautiful beach nice aircon car etc, what we got was a dirty smelly car & taken to a rubbish filled beach which we then had to walk a while to get somewhere nicer!! Enough was enough then!! Asked the manager to take us back immediately to Port denarau, best idea after 3 days of hell. We made him pick us up after we had booked professional trips(avoid his offerings at all cost!!!) we only then spent nights there to sleep & made every effort to stay away as lomg as possible! Smugglers Cove with the Fijian Guy Jo became our surrogate place to stay etc! Friday came around & time to go home & the non existant manager, had the nerve to ask us for $120Fijian for the 1hour trip the other day!! We discussed it on the way to the airport!! He didnt get his money as we felt he should have paid people to stay in his dump! I asked for a headoffice email or number again he showed lack of managerial awareness & didnt help at all again didnt care! The Fijian staff are beautiful but they alone are not worth staying there for even a night of hell! I wont mention the pool because it was out of use for 4 days out of 6, due to it having been emptied?? AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT, if we hadnt got talking to a couple when out to dinner then we would not have discovered Smugglers Cove and the awesome Wyndham Hotel at Port Denarau! I WISH i could give this a minus rating so its a deft 0 out of 5! DONOT GO NEAR HERE ITS DIRTY SMELLY A BUILDING SITE NOT A PLACE TO STAY ITS UNSAFE THE MANAGER HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS HES RUDE RUBBISH & SHOULD NOT EVEN HAVE THIS PLACE OPEN WHILE MAJOR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION IS BEING CARRIED OUT! HIS PICTURES ARE A LIE & THE FOOD RUBBISH, honestly a backpackers is classier than this & we have done that also!! Interesting if he even bothers to comment on this because we are ready for him!!

We did not chose to stay here but were placed here due to other local accm being full. I cannot possibly fathom how anyone could write anything other than a poor review for this place.
The 'staff' were rude, smelly and completely lacking in customer awareness or service.
The room fell well below par and the used condom in the bathroom bin was a unpleasant welcome gift. The sheets were stained and I am sure the beds were of equal quality. The tv is an ornament as there is no decent signal, the 'balcony' dangerous as a glass panel was missing. The driveway is a building site and the 'restaurant' was avoided at all cost.
The only positive aspect was that I didn't pay and the walk out of the place after one dreadful night. Stay here at your peril.
Smugglers cove is a far better alternative.
It would be interesting to see if jetset management care to respond to this review or any others

We stayed here 2 nights at separated by a week (the nights after our arrival in Fiji and the night before departure). We picked the place due to it apparently having a free shuttle to and from the airport. The first night we stayed there was pretty good, with very good customer service from the owners of the resort which were very friendly and did everything to assist us, and our room was generally good apart from a leaking shower. We also got the free shuttle from the airport. However the second night we stayed before our departure was horrible. The staff didn't really seem to care at all, and the room was terrible. The TV did not work, half the lights did not work, the bed was hard, there was no hot water, the shower leaked and the toilet didn't flush properly. And we had to pay for the shuttle. I don't know what made the two nights so different, but we certainly wished we had stayed elsewhere.
