We walked in to the place without any prior bookings looking for a night's accommodation. The staff were very accommodating - first impression went good hence plus point for the hotel. The price is well in budget. The rooms are very basic. Our room had a balcony which was co-shared by the room next door. Food and drinks at this place is very cheap compared to the other nearby hotels. This hotel does not have a direct access to the beach but the beach is accessible within 2 mins walk.
I would recommend this place to those who are looking for a place to sleep as this place do not have much activities in place. You can go have fun at the beach and come back to this place to eat and sleep.

My review is of the restaurant - I ate breakfast there almost every day I was in Nadi. Quite inexpensive, good food and fairly fast service!
They also have an extensive menu for lunch and dinner and are open until around 10pm.

Stayed here while looking for a decent cheap place for the night for a few friends, got the 2 Bedroom room that could sleep 5, to be frank the room layout was bad the main door walked straight into a bunk bed that was confined while the other room had so much space with 2 beds and a couch. The Aircon worked well and didnt have issues with sleep quality, cleanliness was also good. The food here is priced decent and worth the fast feed fix. Do have issues with the old swing chair they have next to the pool, like come on that just an eyesore. Staff are rather dull but helpfulat the same time was a strange experince haha.

My family and I had planned an event at Matasawa Resort. While in the process of planning the event with the staff it showed the lack of communication within the event planning team of Matasawa, blame game on each other, inconsistent with promises made and lacked basic courtesy of how to communicate with customers. Neelam ( alleged manager) has zero communication and commitment to her work, when we had gone to meet her to plan an event, she compelled her staff to lie and tell us that she is not on the premises, while she was in her room and was on duty that night. She blatantly lied.
The team at Matasawa very evidently shows lack of communication and ability to plan any event. At several point in time me and my family felt that if we were not Brown skinned we would have had a better response. A formal email about the unsatisfactory service was sent to the director (Praneet Naidu) but no acknowledgement or apology was received by us. A total pathetic team at Matasawa
Due to all these we had to shift the event to another location at such a shot notice.

We went to have dinner and the person who was attending to guests didn't care about his job at all.
We ordered a chicken pizza and bbq chicken, and got undercooked chicken and soggy peri peri chips. Pizza base was not crispy at all. Cashier said it is something to do with their chef and didn't charge us for chicken. It was a disappointing experience for us.

My partner, his mom and I stayed at Matasawa Resort for 2 nights in June 2020 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our welcome was warm beyond the weather. Everything was wonderful- facilities in the room, spacious and safe as well. Very fabulous and welcoming staff, with super friendly personality. Matasawa is a very relaxing and quiet place with a beautiful swimming pool. The kitchen serves delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. Oh, and their bar is notch👌!
Highly recommend this place for families, couples/singles or friends. All in all, a little gem for those who wants to escape the busy city life and looking for a chilled out, excellent atmosphere where everyone tries to make you feel right at home💯✅

I am staying next door and pizza sounded good to me, so I saw they had it within walking distance! I got there and was the only person there. The guy who waited on me was extremely nice I will say that. I ordered a plain cheese pizza and being the only one there it took an hour! It was very greasy! Shortly before I left another couple came in and it took 15 minutes for their 2 dishes...their food looked good though.

Serious safety incident
We didnt stay here but we came for a massage on christmas day. The therapist exhibited unprofessional behavior by chewing gum loudly throughout the session and frequently sniffing due to a cold. Additionally, the absence of a towel left me feeling exposed and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the therapist proceeded to massage my bare breasts, which was highly inappropriate and made me feel extremely uneasy.

I only ate at the restaurant for lunch and dinner as I didn’t stay at the hotel.
The restaurant served up some amazing dishes and reasonably priced. The service was consistent and I liked the portions of the meals.
Definitely worth checking out if you’re staying in Wailoaloa Beach area.
