Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not a good experience. The host was on site when we arrived but unlike what it says on the site, she did not say hello, welcome us or even acknowledge us. We paid for the superior AC room but were put into a basic double (we didn't know that at the time). The lady who showed us around was great however she left and we had no good service after. The bathroom tap was broken, there was no coffee/tea (based on the description); the blinds didn't work well. We patronised their on site restaurant and had a good lunch but the dinner was not up to par. We ordered early as per request (afer lunch, so that it was defrosted for cooking) however when we arrived for dinner the food had not been defrosted so we waited an hour. We ordered the Fillet fish dinner but got bone in fish which was overfried (dry) and no vegetable. We asked and they ignored us; the server said he didn't know and they wouldn't give him an answer. However charged full price. the room was clean and the place is well situated but other than that - a poor experience

The rooms were basic. Unfortunately we had a reasonably long power outage at night so lost air conditioning and the ceiling fan in the room that made it incredibly hot. No TV in room or even in the shared lounge area. Would be good to have wifi offered instead. Full kitchen facilities provided. But for a one night stay, this suited my needs.

Okay for the low cost, pleasant hostess, but not good for long term visit. Air conditioning was most welcome after a long hot day in planes etc! Family run, the grandmother cooked me a tasty , generous serve of fried chicken rice for dinner ($12 fjd) with piping hot Hot Choc ($3 fjd). Breakfast equally delicious eggs on toast with tomatoes, onions and other tasty flavours stirred through the scramble ($6 fjd). Yum. My hostess has a taxi driver she calls for visitors if they need one. It was very quiet, being on a side dirt road access at the back of farm land. I slept very well but the bed is older and mattress very soft. About 10 minutes drive from the airport. · My room cost $76.50 fjd. So for the price I was happy to stay my one planned night. However, if you wish to have a place to stay from which to launch yourself out on excursions regularly and come home to a generous abode at night this is not for you. It is not really possible to walk easily to anything, including food shops. You also cannot get even a cup of tea for yourself. There is no mini kitchen near the room, only the main kitchen open 7 am to 9 pm. The bathroom is shared and has a simple shower, hand basin and toilet. All clean but towels are thin. There are no extras or frills, bring your own kit. My WiFi didn’t work although my lovely hostess said it should. No loss there in the short term but I did need access moving forward and would have had to change accomodation if I had not already planned to be elsewhere anyway.

15-minute walk to/from airport, easy to find even in dark (see photo). Strong pre-arrival communication. Friendly family, especially Mamta, and nice family dogs. Sarita, the housekeeper, is a jewel. Basic breakfast. I lodged 7 nights, 2 different rooms. Excellent and reliable WiFi all week. Best for 1-2 night stay for airport transfer. Unfortunately, the shared kitchen is ill-equipped — no plates, pots, pans, knives or microwave; stove burners do not work — what was a 1-bedroom flat has been poorly converted to 2 sleep spaces for up to 4 peeps, but just one combo toilet/shower/sink for all 4. Recommendations: Since there is no AC, windows need to remain open to circulate air and cool space, so PLEASE do not burn garbage when the wind is blowing towards the Homestay, or the ROOM FILLS WITH SMOKE. Gramps really needs to go out of earshot — ’downwind’ — to clear his emphysematic throat. Also the clear glass bathroom window needs to be replaced with ‘private’ frosted glass.

I was stuck, late at night in a taxi...I called the accommodation that I booked online (Nadi Homestay) for directions only to be informed that they were under renovation and I had to find somewhere else stay. Like a hero, the taxi driver called (a friend I assume) and found me alternative accommodation. I am eternally grateful to the taxi driver and owner of Westfield Homestay, who welcomed me so late at night - both are 5 star winners to me. This review is on the accommodation only. In a word the room was basic almost bare but I had access to free WiFi. I was given a towel for the shower which looked like it was a few years old but it was clean so no problem. I showered and basically went straight to sleep. I had an early flight so I was out by 5am. I noticed that the location was quite remote and would be hard to find by most people. I would recommend it as a place to go if you were, like me, hard pressed to find somewhere to stay for the night.

We stayed here for how cheap it was and how close it was to the airport. It was very difficult to find as no one at the airport knew where it was and no one was really willing to help. We walked there from the airport and it took us about 45 minutes in the pitch black. Very interesting room, it's as it says. It's someone's home and they're welcoming people in, very basic. A double bed, couple of sheets and 1 plug. They specify soundproofing on booking.com but it is a mattress behind the bed 😂. Don't know why this is included. Breakfast was very nice. They provide fresh papaya from their tree in the garden and boy it was damn tasty. But all in all, it's very far from attractions and I can guarantee you would not be able to do the island cruises as no company would know where you are. Ideal for a late check in, but one night only.

Intéresting and attractive price. Very clean inside and nothing to repair or fix. However we spend 1h to find where it was located and thé landlord didn t help us when we called him twice. Hé welcomed us with à single towel on him, quite rude ! Noisy place and be aware there is no sheet, only à mat to cover you during thé night
