Included breakfast was great, wifi worked throughout - better on the 2nd floor, in the lounge area though. Location is hard to beat, as on the main avenue, one block from pedestrian malls and a couple away from the plaza. Friendly reception staff and great value (You would pay a lot more for a single room in a backpacker hostel, and receive much lower quality than here).
Overall, I highly rate this place if you are looking for comfort and convenience. If you are want luxury, then you need to pay the extra to stay somewhere else!
The second impression was not much better. The rooms seem like not renovated since 1970s. The bed sheets were not crispy - in fact I am quite sure they were not changed :-(((( There were no towels in the room. It took 4 calls to the reception desk to finally get them. Another inconvenience is no A/C in the hotel.
The quality of breakfast was low as everything else.
Te hotel is supposed to be 3* - but this is a bad joke.
Stay away from this place if you don't want to ruin you holidays.
If you speak Spanish the staff on the front desk are helpfull but I did see quite a few people who didn't speak Spanish have problems.
I would not stay here again.
When our car pulled up, I thought we had the wrong address. It was Sunday and the hotel entry is down an arcade, behind a steel gate. The guy on reception spoke no english, but we did end up checking in eventually.
After seeing the room, I went out and checked on availability on some other nearby hotels and if it wasn't for having some pick ups arranged and only being there 2 nights I probably would have moved hotels.
The room itself had no airconditioner and was hot. And it stunk. There must have been something dead down one of the drains. The wardrobe was broken, the lino floor in in the room and the tiles in the bathroom where filthy. We wore thongs to use the shower it was that bad. The stench was so bad that we went to a nearby supermarket and bought some disinfectant to pour down the drains and on the shower floor and air freshner to spray around. I know that the hotel should have done that but the language gap made it too hard to explain. There where not even glasses in the bathroom for (bottled) water tooth brushing. We did mange to get a fan that had to be plugged into the TV outlet. In fact the TV was the only good thing about the room. A new Samsung 32" LCD (the remote was at reception). At least with the TV, I could say one nice thing about the room.
Breakfast was limited and based on the (lack of) cleanliness of the rest of the hotel, we ate cautiously in the one sitting we had.
It was not a cheap hotel pricewise. I would dread staying anywhere as bad again. Many nicer options around the area at a similar rack price.
The location is very central but that's where the good news ends. The rooms are in bad shape, the breakfast isn't that good and the whole stay just wasn't enjoyable. Not recommended.
I got to my room at 22:30 to find out one of the double windows (old fashioned windows anyway) did not shut down properly which meant the room was almost as noisy as sleeping on the street. After 40 minutes and calling reception 4 times a house service staff came to tell ne that the problem could not be solved and I should change rooms. When I called the front desk about this they only offered a room on the 6th floor (I was in 3rd). This happened at 23:15. This happened after I tried earlier to get a room on the 6th floor where my parents were staying only to be told they could not put us on the same floor. Now, surprise, they could... I did not move because I was too tired already but their approach was really terrible.
Other bad points: bathroom really old and ugly, stained carpets, minimal breakfast, they don't issue more than one key card per room, I found an old lady sock on the radiator (?!)
