We stayed for one night before leaving Santiago - a great location, near to shops, restaurants, sight seeing. A compact clean, modern room with good quality bedding which was perfectly adequate for one night.

There was a beautiful, cool courtyard at the rear of the hotel, places to sit down and relax, wifi, cold\hot drinks with fruit and biscuits freely available and a cafe terrace at the front of the hotel serving cafe style drinks and food. Friendly English speaking front of house staff who efficiently booked a taxi to take us to the airport.

We stayed at the Orly twice during our recent trip to Santiago. Based on just the rooms, I would have given it a high 4 star rating. The rooms were small but big enough, view toward the street was interesting and the rooms were well maintained. However, based on just the room itself, it was not a 5 star luxury quality hotel. I bumped my review to 5 stars because the public areas of the hotel were wonderful with places to sit and read, a great off street inside patio, a patio bar at the street which was great for people watching where you could sit for hours with a snack or just a cup of coffee and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Also, the hotel location is great. It is on a main street in the Providencia area of Santiago with many great restaurants, shops and things to do within a block or so of the hotel. For all these reasons, the Orly deserves a 5 star rating.

Great location in Providencia. Staff is exceptional. It is a boutique hotel but also has apartments about 100 meters up the street. Many embassies located in the area and plenty of fine restaurants. An excellent value. We stayed in an apartment on two different occasions, first when we arrived in Santigo on March 4th, and again on our return from Calama on March 18th. At this time, Chile was going into lockdown. The hotel took care of all of the remaining foreigners until the last ones had departed. Then on March 20th, the hotel closed. My wife and I were still there. They let us keep the apartment at no charge (FREE) until we could get a plane back to the US. We flew back on the 24th of March. This hotel has shown uncommon compassion for travelers and deserves the highest accolades from Trip Advisor.

We stayed at this hotel almost 20 years ago and based on our wonderful experience there we decided to stay there again. As we were checking in, a woman that I recognized from before appeared at the reception desk. Gloria had worked there for many years, took a break for a few years and had returned. I only remember a few hotel staff from the many places we have stayed over the years, and she stands out as one of the best. She definitely knows how to treat her guests. We enjoyed our two night stay in February. Comfortable hotel in a good locatioh, and friendly service.

We stayed 2 nights on arrival in Santiago. Great hotel in the Providencia area which is ideally situated for good restaurants and bars etc. Museums and the city centre are a cheap Uber away or a metro ride. The staff are super helpful, the rooms quiet and comfortable and breakfast really good. The hotel has a good cafe attached. Reccomended.

Enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights. Small hotel in a great location for shops, bars and restaurants. We were bed and breakfast, which was great for us. Would stay here again when we back in Santiago - would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Based on the reviews on TripAdvisor, we stayed at the Hotel Orly following our South American cruise. We reserved a queen room for two nights. The staff spoke English and was both courteous and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. Although we had prearranged tours of the city, the hotel can book tours. A very nice breakfast is included in the price of the room.

The hotel is located just off a main street that offers a wide variety of shopping. We walked the streets around the hotel without the slightest concern about our safety. There are a number of small restaurants located at the entrance of the hotel and immediately next to the hotel.

We were totally satisfied with our stay and highly recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel with various self-contained venues and a wide variety of services this is not the hotel for you. However, if you are looking for a small, quiet, boutique hotel with a European ambiance this is the place!

My wife and I travel extensively. We have stayed at some of the best resorts in the world. At the same time, when I travel for business in the US, I look for the cleanest and most inexpensive room as I have my own business. This is mentioned to give a perspective to the readers of TripAdvisor on our background.

When we planned our trip to Chile, we could have easily stayed at any of the big well known American brand hotels. However, we chose to stay at Orly to get a sense of Santiago and also because of the excellent reviews.

We were not disappointed. The Orly is very unique and a charming hotel. The staff were beyond professional and accomadating. Every request, every question, every need was taken care of in a timely manner with a smile. Our first night was in a double room which is smaller than what we are used to in America. It was extremely clean and had all the amenities. However, we asked to change to a queen for the three remaining nights. The staff was wonderful in accomodating our needs. We were put in room 11. Huge room with a wonderful view of the street. Keep in mind that it was winter and so we did not open the windows. Therefore the noise from the street did not bother us. However, I would recommend that if you travel to Santiago in the summer, ask for rooms facing the back side.

Overall the front desk staff was very attentive. Because it is a boutique hotel they also act as a concierge. Marco, Francisco, and Pablo were all so helpful. They were so kind in helping us with taxis, places to go, renting a car, winery tours, and most importantly how to attend a soccer match between Universidad De Chile and Independiente of Argentina (talk about passionate fans). If you stay here and get great service from these three gentlemen, make sure to tip them well.

The breakfast served in the hotel is excellent. Keep in mind that it isn't like the big breakfast buffets of America. Scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cereals, juices, coffee, and toast. We were disappointed in the little restaurant in the lobby of the hotel as we had lunch there one time. Portions are big and food is fresh but doesn't have much taste. We truly enjoyed ourselves in the Italian restaurant 100 feet west of the hotel. On a Friday night it gets packed. Tables are very close together and everyone smokes. Service is with a smile. For all Americans keep in mind that unlike the States, the check is never brought to the table until you ask for it. In many countries around the world they believe it is rude to deliver the check to the table before the customer asks for it. I mention this as an older American couple sitting next to us constantly complained about this.

Hotel Orly is located in an area full of small shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and you can walk many places. If you need to arrange travel within Chile, Lan Chile offices are just outside the hotel lobby. Final comment, no one in Santiago, including Orly Hotel will take $100 US bills starting with serial number CB............. I understand that there are some counterfeits circulating in Chile and no one is willing to take the risk. We were forced to get cash out of an ATM nearby.

Enjoy Hotel Orly as we found it to be an excellent hotel and reasonably priced at $90 for a queen room.

As my husband and I travel extensively, before we book any hotel, we go to Trip Advisor first to check the reviews. For a variety of reasons, we went to Santiago on very, very short notice (three days). After reading the Trip Advisor reviews, we went to the Hotel Orly website and booked a double room for a week. Because there was such a short time between our reservations and when we were arriving, we also called and confirmed. We received immediate email confirmation for our room. The rate was an incredible $77.00 a night, which included a wonderful breakfast; tea/coffee/fruit and cookies all day in the lovely eating rooms; AND pick up and return to the airport (since we were staying more than five days).

Even though we were more than an hour late arriving, our wonderful driver was waiting for us. He told us that he had come early, just to make sure that he was there when we arrived. Every member of the staff was fantastic. My husband is Spanish speaking--however everyone in the hotel spoke excellent English. We knew that the room would probably not be ready when we arrived because we came in very early (10:00 am). So, upon our arrival, the staff showed us a room where we could change out our all night travel clothes and took our suitcases for storage. Just as soon as a room was available, we were able to go to our room. It was lovely, quiet and had a huge bathroom.

One little side note--my husband and I like to walk everywhere, so it was so wonderful to come back to the hotel in the late afternoon, have a cup of tea or coffee and then rest before changing and going to dinner. It was quite a pleasant surprise to find that the cable TV had at least a dozen English speaking channels to watch during our early evening rest. And yet another plus, there was internet cafe next door and another across the street--both only charged less $2.00 an hour (in 15 minute increments).

In addition, the Hotel is located in a lovely area--with lots of shops and cafes and close to the metro stop. Additionally, it is close to a main street that has lots of buses. There was another big plus for us: Since we were going on to Buenos Aires, we needed to do laundry at the end of our stay. The hotel staff sent us to a laundry around the corner which washed, dried and folded a week's worth of winter clothes for about $15.00.

Lastly, since we were staying a week, we enlisted the aid of the hotel staff for suggestions as to places to visit. They were so helpful: They gave us maps, directions, made suggestions and even called the wineries to make tour reservations for us.

I really could go on forever. We both agreed that it was probably the nicest place we had ever stayed. It was not only lovely, but also warm and comfortable--like visiting a good friend's very nice home.

Santiago, Chile
Airport Taxi is available and the TAXI fare one way is $ 25. 000 ( Chilean Pesos ) or around 35 Usd depending of the Dollar change and this is for maximum 3 people or a VAN for more than 3 people or if you bring a lot of luggage is $ 32. 000 or around 45 Usd one way . If you want to take this service is necessary to send the flight information. This must be paid directly to the driver who will be waiting outside of the arrival gate with a sign with your last name on it. ( The payment can be in Usd or in Chilean Pesos ) In case to take another transportation make sure do not pay more than these prices. Airport Pick up Arrival day: Arrival time: Airline Company: Flight number: Coming from: What kind of transport do you prefer TAXI or VAN: Advise if you want to request this service.
