I stayed 3 nights in the so called executive single room. My room was of a decent size, with all the appropriate amenities including a chair, a table, etc. There was also a small balcony, which was a nice surprise. The balcony was overlooking the street, which ended to be relatively quiet (Saturday and Sunday felt pretty dead in this area though).
The bathroom was also spacious, everything worked properly, with enough hot water and a proper water pressure.
The room looked clean to me and there was no issues with housekeeping. I could tell that the room furnishings were worn out though, like old furniture, etc. It didn’t bother me much because of my short stay, but it was quite apparent nonetheless. A/C also looked old and it was a bit noisy.
The buffet breakfast was adequate. It didn’t have a plenty of choices but it was OK for me.
In terms of location, as you probably already know, it is very central. I walked to the hotel back from San Cristobal's Funicular Station (taking Uber there) and also walked everywhere. If you don’t like walking, then Uber is readily available in the area. Also, as I said earlier, keep in mind that this area is pretty dead on weekends. On weekdays the area comes to life and there are many restaurants next to the hotel that offer lunch menus.
In terms of service I can’t say much because I barely asked for anything. But it seemed OK.
Wi-Fi in my room was non-existing. This was a bad experience. But I suspect it was because of my room’s location. Otherwise Wi-Fi worked OK on the floor or in other places.
The hotel also charges for everything, even for a bottled water in your room that is there on your arrival.
All in all, not a bad experience. I am giving 4 stars but it is more like 3.5 stars review. I would recommend it for a short stay.

The hotel was charming with the feeling of a small, convenient and well managed place to stay. Our room was lovely; the bath, a perfect size,;and the breakfast room, an array of tables of delicious items. The personnel answered all our questions about a tour of the city, provided advice and maps, and were very accommodating in calling a cab we had previously booked,

Hotel was ok, beds were nice but bathroom was not properly cleaned (quite a few hairs left in the sink/ shower). I would however not recommend to stay in this area, no shops/restaurants were open nearby and I got robbed two blocks away from the hotel. Obviously not the fault of the hotel but for the sake of fellow international travellers I'd recommend staying elsewhere while in Santiago.

Wonderful hotel! Very tasty breakfast. All staff are awesome, but we want to express our appreciation especially to Miguel. Miguel’s English is excellent and he helped many times to resolve some language barriers and important questions about our travel.

Old style hotel with quite dated rooms haphazardly modernised in places. Nice large bed. Tv didn’t work. Slow lifts. Average breakfast. Almost no English spoken. Good central location. But not bad value. Despite other comments here the area seemed ok, or at least no different to most other parts of Santiago.

The hotel is located extremely well for exploring the city. The hop-on & hop-off bus stop is just 50 meters away and tickets can be bought at the hotel. Many historical buildings re in walking distance. The rooms are nice, spacious, tidy and well equipped. The free wifi can be regarded as high-speed for free.
Another topic is the restaurant. Too warm and humid, no aircon and the friendliness of the staff questionable. I didn't give tip because of the poor quality but was reminded that service is not included about three times. However, there is plenty of bars and restaurants close by. We would go back to that convenient place definitely. Maybe they even reach an improvement of the service some day.

This hotel had good and bad points. If I wanted a room in central Santiago again I’d consider returning because the location is so convenient.
The good - well located for my tourism stay in Santiago: (a) there is a Turbus terminal nearby in Moneda St and one of the airport link bus routes starts & terminates there; (b) the hotel is close to the Plaza de Armas, the social centre of Santiago and the meeting point for an excellent walking tour; (c) there are 2 Metro stations nearby, on different lines; (d) attractions like the Pre-Columbian Art Museum & National History Museum are close by.
The bad - the staff. I don’t expect a lot from hotel staff and if they’re competent I’m happy but at the Panamericano one of the reception staff made a point of being sarcastic because I spoke English, and a few of the others seemed to be taking big doses of grumpy pills. Also, the room safe developed a fault and I had to report it twice before it was fixed (all up it took an hour to get it open – I’m glad I wasn’t in a hurry to catch a flight).
The location is in the CBD and most of the nearby restaurants are closed on weekends. However there is good eating in the Bellavista district (try Galindo for traditional Chilean dishes) and 1 km to the west is Plaza Brasil with a dozen restaurants & bars to choose from (open nights and weekends).
The room itself was good, there are public internet PCs on each floor and the breakfast buffet had good variety and reasonable quality. Overall the hotel was good value for money. I stayed 6 nights.
If you do decide to stay here I would advise against booking directly through the hotel’s website. It requires a credit card guarantee and has a secure webpage to enter the details in (like most hotels), however it sent an email to confirm my booking that showed my full credit card number, expiry date and billing name without any security.

It was a big buffet breakfast, quite a bit of variety! I only remember for sure there was a lot of avocado which we loved! Actually not sure if they had eggs, but we noticed that in a few notels in South America - eggs not always served
One of the hotel receptionist arranged a van for our party of 6 and our luggage.
Yes, i think it's better to inform the hotel about the time of the arrival
We called ahead and used the hotel transportation. Be aware even though you are in a nice part of town, there are many pick pockets around there.
Hi,
If you stay in the Panamericano hotel you can catch the
hop on - hop off bus at the stop number 7, right at the
side of the hotel, on Teatinos street.
Please ask the front desk a map of the hop on - hop off
tour bus, showing all the stops and the attractions.
Have a nice trip.
