Detailed Reviews
The appartments are located in a large compound consisting of several blocks, with access from both Merced and Huerfanos. They are conveniently located in the heart of the city, at walking distance of all main sights, with the Santa Lucia hill located next to the compound (do go up there for a nice view of the city in several direction).
The compound has its own swimming pool on the roof of one of the blocks. It's pretty basic and the water is rather cold, but it's large enough and thus sufficient for an occasional swim. Don't expect anything too fancy though.
The appartments all have the same size and more or less the same type of appliences and furniture. WiFi with good speed is included.
There is a supermarket in the premises on Merced Street, which is even open on Sundays. Nearby there are several places where you can have breakfast in case you don't want to cater for it yourself.
On the downside: if you have an apartment facing Merced Street, it can be pretty noisy and the windows are far from sound-proof.
All in all a good deal with good value for money. Note that there are several providers who rent appartments in the same compound, all offering more or mess the same service but at different rates. So better compare well in order to find the best deal. I stayed in the compound on two different occasions and with different providers (see my review of Departamentos Amoblados Costa Bellas Artes). However, Apart Boutique Bellas Artes was the better deal: slightly more expensive but located on a much quieter side of the compound, not facing the busy Merced Street and higher in the block. The services was also better, was very friendly people ready to assist and give practical information and advice.
You can book through a booking engine, but if you contact them directly, you may be able to negotiate a discount.

The service we got from the staff was excellent. They were very flexible to accommodate our schedules for check-in and check-out. Apartment is very clean, centrally located in a very safe neighborhood, and has a parking lot in the basement. The only two minor dissatisfiers are the fridge is too small, and the air conditioner exhaust fell off the window so was nonoperational during our last day.
I would definitely return to this place, and would recommend it.

Just returned from my Antarctic Cruise. Before we got on cruise from Valparaiso, we stayed in this apartment for 2 nights in December, 2014. The main reason we booked this hotel is that it is in downtown with a kitchen and laundry service.
However when we checked in, the front desk staff did not speak English. Actually the complex is a 4 high-rise residential buidlings. Only part of it was rented out as an apartment hotel. We met with local residents in the elevator.
The walls inside my unit was filthy. The bath towels were black with filthy stains. Even the sales office staff only spoke very limited English. When I called them for new clean towels. nobody helped them before we left.
Please do not book this hotel. There are many other choices in the neighborhood. Do not be fooled by the picture of the swimming pool. It is the facility for 4 buildings and not in the same building of the apartment hotel.
It is a joke that they run such a hotel under such condition.

I have read several times of Hotels taking money from Credit Cards incorrectly and this is the first time it has happened to us.
We cancelled during the free cancellation period and discovered a few days later that the Hotel had deducted the first night's accommodation charge from our Credit card.
We have notified the Wholesaler in an attempt to have the money returned to us.

In our records we had mail from Booking.com notifying on this issue and we annul the charge. Please forgive the mistake, it happened on hours miscalculation.
