My hubby and I stayed for three nights. We had the room to the right as you entered to hotel. It had a queen size bed, separate bathroom and free parking. The breakfast was very nice as well. Antonia at the front desk was very friendly and helped us find a couple places to visit, including a Termis that they had an agreement with so it we had a nice experience and a 10% discount. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly. It is only a short walk to a Supermercado and to local shops and also very short distance to the lakefront. Villarrica was a very nice town to stay in and to walk around at night to restaurants, etc. If we are down this way again we will be tempted to visit this part of Chile - it is very beautiful! (they have a poll but we didn't check it out.)

We came to the hotel exhausted from trying to do too much in Peru. We left refreshed, ready to enjoy an month in the beautiful lake district of Chile. The hotel is really a big house, located in a quiet residential area across a street from a park and the lake and an easy walk from the center of town. We had a spectacular view of the volcano from our room, which was immaculately clean. There is a beautiful lawn with chairs where you can sit and listen to some extraordinary birds, bandurias, which sound like bamboo sticks being hit together. What we loved most was the attitude of the staff. Everyone seemed happy and eager to talk with you or help however they could. I asked a maid why they all smiled so much and she replied that she looked forward to coming to work and considered it a privilege to be there. I could tell she meant it.

Friendly host, close to markets, restaurants and Lake. Clean room and beautiful grounds surrounding the property. We were able to have our laundry done here which is convenient. There is a heated pool and a choice of standard and superior rooms.

Close to the water and with a view of the Vallerrica vulcano from almost anywhere.
Service with a nice touch having the reception behind a desk and not a counter. The courtyard parking removes the stress of parking on the street close to a very public beach. Breakfast is very good too - and how refreshing we could have some egs too.

Definitely a nice place to stay...good location and homey type B&B.
Just nothing special. We ended up here because we arrived late on the weekend of Ironman...everything booked! There was a cancellation; so we got a suite that had a small window with view of the volcano.
Happy to be there, just not special.

We stayed one night on our way back to Santiago, choosing Villarica over Pucon because of proximity to the highway. We were left wishing we had more time there.

The hotel was nice and friendly feeling. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean. We were in a four-person room that was spacious and comfortable, but my parents two-person room was almost comically cramped in comparison. Breakfast was also good.

The pool was nice and there's a playground across the street as well as paddle boats. The hotel is about two blocks from the beach and Boardwalk area.

The Villarica area has been developed nicely in the past few years. We are anxious to go back and spend time there and we would certainly stay at El Ciervo again.

Lovely place. Breakfast was boring, but certainly adequate and the little restaurant was very good for dinner. Near some great restaurants. Great place to take off from. Walking nearby a pleasure. And some rooms have great views of the volcano. Nice managers/owners. Helpful. This was a charming place for us, a couple, and for two single woman who were in our little business group. Good internet and free. Modest prices.

This is a wonderful hotel in that it is not corporate, feels family run, and has friendly staff. The views are across the lake and to the volcano. We had room 18 which is by the front door, but we did not notice any noise. It's large, with a good sized bathroom and a superb shower area. I slept very well. We also ate in the restaurant and had excellent meals on both occasions. Breakfast is OK (I felt the bread was a bit dry for my liking and did not toast well) with a selection of things (but nothing cooked)..

Firstly our welcome was warm and friendly, helpful and courteous. We arrived at ten pm just as the Restaurant was closing. The Staff member found our booking, escorted us to our suite and invited us to eat at the Restaurant if we would like to eat. As we had anticipated their being no food available we had eaten on the bus from Santiago, but we appreciated being at a Hotel where the service ethic was so high.
Our suite was beautiful. We had glorious views of the lake and volcano from our room and the bathroom was huge, with plentiful hot water. The bed and furniture was comfortable and the room was spotless. We were able to walk to the town centre and to the lake with ease. It was magical!
We found the staff here to be so accommodating and friendly. Sebastian scores a special mention as he is so lovely and such an accomplished chef. He is such a courteous, friendly and unassuming man and he is keen to discuss food, its preparation. His kuchen is to die for. The balance between the apple, nuts and sour cherries is amazing. All the delicious fresh breads and the yummy scrambled eggs with cold meats and cheese with jams at breakfast meant we looked forward to the wonderful spread each day. Our Dinners here were likewise full of flavour and the prices for finely created and divinely cooked meals meant we look forward to returning when we are back in South America. This was an unexpectedly blissful stay. On our day of departure we were welcome to stay and we appreciated this courtesy, too.
The area is beautiful and we absolutely loved it. We received a discount through a tourism company which is across the street.
