I found this place to a pretty good little hotel beds were good, good pillows and breakfast isn't too bad starts at 8 though, we had a room looking out at the volcano it was a great sight. No lift so if want it easy or travel with a lot be prepared to carry your gear, for the price you pay its a pretty good deal, and we found the staff to be mostly very good, my only issues were at breakfast and I never left hungry so they weren't that bad. If we come back to pucon we would definitely stay here again

Booked in Pucon sort of hastily and assumed we needed to be downtown so chose this hotel because it fit the bill for the price. At first glance the hotel looks very modern and well appointed but as you start to look around it looks like it was built either by an ambitious handyman or the absolute cheapest labor...for the Simpsons fans out there I kept mentioning not to touch the load-bearing poster. I want to say this stuff wouldn't bother me but it made me worry about the safety of the structure if the visible stuff was this bad...I should mention the shower door also fell off..yeah. Additionally there are about 5 parking spots on property and you may get blocked in overnight...I'm not above street parking or anything but it was mostly restricted which made it a pain on each return from outings. On the plus side the staff was nice, breakfast good and bed comfy.

Really nice and cozy hotel. We came on out honeymoon and they organized the room nicely. The breakfast is good, the hotel don’t have elevators and we were on the 4th floor. Another down side is that the room are very small I have never been to a hotel room that small. Overall the hotel is clean and new, good location and nice staff.

The room is very expensive for what I got. Eventhough I had a Superior room, the room came w/o bathtub (only shower), w/o desk, w/o tea making facilities ...
But above all, it is not well maintained : A/C sent water on the floor (and a lot !, and it was not fixes although I asked for this), one lamp was not working (and it took two days to get that fixed : I had to insist), the window curtain was blocked half way down. There is a safe in the room but w/o instructions of how to use it (I tried and got it closed w/o being able to open it !
The wifi works only in the lobby and not in the room!
On the positive side nevertheless, breakfast is above average, location is good, there is a upper terrace with a view on volcan villarica, people are very welcoming (although not efficient - see above! -)

Yo can hear all the activity on the others rooms. As there is no elevator (5 floors), you can hear the other guests climbing the stairs until late at night. Worst part, you can hear others rooms a/c motors which makes vibrate the walls.

The breakfast is poor. Eggs are good. But the rest really could be better. No honey in one of the regions producing the best honeys in the world. Only industrial bred. No avocado. Wouldn’t stay there again.

The hardest part is walking to the 4th floor. Im 50 and while i didn't love it, i made due. The rooftop and a bottle of good wine made up for the rest. The beds were nice and it was perf for 1 person, maybe 2 who are recently in love. Those who don't like it are whimps.

We stayed at Hotel Rangi for two nights in March 2017. Very comfortable room. Staff was very helpful and the free breakfast was delicious. Our room was very quiet since it was on the top (4th) floor. The only downside for someone else is that there is no elevator and we had big suitcases, but it did offer a great view of the volcan Villarica :-)

Great location, a few good personnel but the rooms are poor. No trash can, no mirrors except a 4x6 over the sink. Towels did not get changed, although I left on the floor, no soaps, ran out of toilet paper and had to ask for. The bad part: got there at night and the front desk asked me to pay on advance in cash. I had no cash and the guy suggested me to go to an ATM. He wanted US dollars. I only had credit card, so the next day they had to take it!
The breakfast is delicious, but there is a problem: starts at 8AM, and most trekking tours will pick you up before 7 AM. Irregular wifi.

The owners are nice and helpful, and they are trying quite hard to create an atmosphere... but, it is not that easy. For now, the place is really lacking a sense of charm and identity. Still, it is fairly comfortable, and very convenient. The jacuzzi on the rooftop, right in front of the volcano, is really a plus. A half hour there, at the end of a day trekking in the beautiful surroundings, is a blessing. Breakfast is acceptable, although having guests taking it in the entrance hall is a very ill-conceived idea.
