A word of warning, if you're going to climb Villarrica make sure you're fit. Our group took 6 hours to climb the volcano and we were all fairly fit and healthy - it's very hard work and truly terrifying in places. Plus, when we reached the top we couldn't see into the crater because of the strong wind - they don't tell you that! Good views don't make up for it...
Tour group Politur are good - they're the most expensive but also the best equipped and most knowledgeable. You get what you pay for.
Things are clean, quiet, bath is nice , the staff TRIED to make the net work, alas they use a commericial service and frankly I think they just have the entry codes wrong.
There is a computer room, and I was able to plus some Cat 5 wire into their box and use my PC, Skype etc.,....but at ~$80 a night, I want stuff to WORK.
Also, the room keys are a bit of a puzzle, as the facility is a bit old, but nothing is perfect.
Breakfast was simple and their scrambled eggs delicious.
Don´t think I will return. Internet impossible, but that seems to be a problem in all hotels.
It is well situated in town.
Most of our group were ill within 12 hrs of leaving, don't know if it was related
"Ask for a room in the new section and possibly on the second floor. Best room is on the second floor in a corner overlooking the main street."Read full review
