First of all, if you have never heard of Pucon, you must experience it for yourself. I speak very little spanish, and didn't encounter much english at all in Chile, but what a beautiful and unspoiled (ie..lawyers haven't taken control and regulated everything) to visit. Very old world in regards to service and class. I walked into Del Volcan in late November to find it virtually empty and got a twin room with breakfast included for US $50 per night. I highly recommend visiting Pucon in Nov/Dec timeframe, as I'm told that it is virtually impossible to get a room in Jan/Feb during the peak summer months in the southern hemisphere. Everything is withing walking distance of this property, including a very fancy casino and all of the "main" street high adventure outfitters, resturants and shops. You should definately rent a car and drive into Pucon. I flew into Temuco from Santiago and drove the entire Lake District region. REcommend the volcano climbs and the local fly ufishing. Also, if you really want to see a way of life that isn't in the US, visit one of the very rural hot springs. Truly a "remote" and "rustic" experience. Nothing like that in Florida!

What a value. We stayed on the 4th floor and had a great view of town and the volcano (if the clouds moved out). Big picture windows on all sides. Full, stocked kitchen. Breakfast was served in the room and was very good. Restaurants in town were all good. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Some difficulty getting to Pucon by bus but once you are there it is easy to get around. The hotel also has internet connection if you want it. It was nice to get in touch with family. The keyboard is spanish so finding the @ symbol took some time. Unfortunately it rained the entire time we were in town so we saw a lot of our room and liked all of it.

I honestly can not say enough amazing things about this hotel! They were above and beyond accommodating for us. We took an overnight bus there and back from Santiago and despite a check in time in the afternoon and check out time at 11 am, they allowed us to check in at 9 am, immediately upon arrival and we were allowed to stay in our room until 8 pm the day of check out (for a very minimal fee). They were easy to contact via telephone as well as e-mail. We had a room on the 5th floor with a view facing the volcano. We were able to see it right from our bed! It was very clean and very spacious. There is no restaurant at the hotel but they give you a voucher for a free breakfast at a fantastic little cafe just down the street (2 minutes walking). The location of the hotel couldn't be better. It is walking distance from EVERYTHING - the bus station, the supermarket, all the tour agencies and all the restaurants. Wifi was flawless as well. Thank you for such an amazing stay, Del Volcan Hotel! My boyfriend and I will most definitely be staying there again if we ever are able to return.

The room we had was huge. But was far from clean. The staff wasn't overly friendly and unsympathetic- even after having some problems with the room (safety box was broken, latches for doors not usable). The room was not clean either. Last kicker was (not their fault) is it is right in the middle of town and very noisy (dogs barking, music, drumming, etc.) well into the night.

Your choice is up all night from the noise or close the window which is the only air to the room. The worst horn player in the world played at the corner about 1/4 of a block away until 2 in the morning both nights. We did not stay the third. The hotel room was tired with much of the room broken or patched. Lights did not work, towel bars broken, bugs crawling on the ceiling. Would not do this again

The Volcan hotel is smack dab in the middle of pucon. We had a nice view of the volcanoe, and would recommend a room on the higher floors for this. The breakfast at a place across the street was very nice, and we were overall highly pleased with our stay. Would stay again and recommended fellow travelers to stay here, especially for the views.

Hotel Del Volcan provided great lodging for our party of four on February 24, 2005. The facility was very clean with nice ammenities, recently built in an excellent Pucon location. Convenient to great restaurants/shopping. We loved our view of the lake and views of Volcano Villarica are available. A modest continental breakfast was served in our rooms. Most impressive was the secured lobby and polite reservation staff who spoke English or immediately contacted someone who could. (We spoke no Spanish.) Rate was reasonable. My friends and I recommend this hotel to any traveling to Pucon!!
We were in Pucon in October of 2012 for five days. We had made arrangements to rent a house near Villarica, about 30 mins from Pucon, only to have the house be nothing like the description provided online. After having spent the most miserable night at said house, we were out of there as early as possible the next morning and headed to the internet cafe to find a new place to stay. That's when we found Del Volcan Hotel and happier, we could not have been!
The location was amazing. We got one of the rooms overlooking the main street with a balcony, the size was just what we were looking for (2 bedroom) and it even had a kitchenette! This place saved us from having to spend another night at the crappy house!
While we didn't use it, they provided passes for the local gym, had an assigned enclosed area to park vehicles and the staff were very friendly! The cost for staying for five days was also reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel and this town.

We have just spent a couple of very pleasant days in this very pretty town. The hotel is well placed in the middle of the town but it's only small and all hotels are close. We were on the 5th floor with a view over the rooftops to the lake - beautiful sunsets and early mornings. The volcano was viewable from the end of the passage. Free internet with two computers provided - never busy. The room was large and comfortable and quite clean and well serviced. The breakfast was in our room (there is no common area in this hotel) and I think some rooms had kitchenettes. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a lift! One day of sun warm enough for swimming and one day of cloud. Good eating in town and not too expensive.

We booked this place because it was supposed to have Wi-Fi in the room but it didn't work. We had to go to a common lounge area at the end of the hall to use the Wi-Fi.
The location is right in the heart of town. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and tour companies. A nicely equipped kitchen so you can cook your own meals when you want. Comfortable room. Decent size room. Overall decent value for money.
