Detailed Reviews
I stayed there in February 2020. Excellent boutique family run hotel with each room overlooking the lake. It has a 300 meter hilly driveway right off the main room. Very quiet as it is setback and very relaxing and quite close 3-4 miles from center of pucon.
Breakfast is lovely as were all the staff and owner couple. Highly recommend.

Unbeatable view, good breakfast, very friendly staff.
The bad thing is that there is no respect for the elderly, at least they should warn that the room is on the third floor without an elevator.
They must improve respect for the elderly.

The place is 6km away from the center of Pucón and you need to be by car. It is quite comfortable and the atmosphere is quite rural, from the decor to the presence of dogs around. Rooms have no numbers and are sorted by horse breeds. There is an open bar, of the “honest bar” type, but the restaurant serves only breakfast, which is good. I missed more fruit, but it's all right, it's only been two days. Room and bathroom great, with a beautiful view to the lake and a good and attentive service.

The cost benefit is not worth it. Pucón is an expensive city, but paying almost $100,000 Chilean pesos (around R$600.00) per night at this inn, which although called a boutique, is not a boutique hotel, is not worth it. The breakfast is very bad. Even though it's not a buffet, very little is served, you have to keep asking, the owner pretends she doesn't understand, the situation is super unpleasant for a daily rate of this price. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake, but urgent maintenance is needed, doors fall apart, locks fall off, air conditioning drips, faucet is damaged, the acoustics are terrible, you can hear every conversation in neighboring rooms, in short, at least amount charged, not worth it. We ordered a breakfast box the day before, as we were going on a very early trip the next day, and it wasn't ready; the receptionist packed a plastic bag and put water and very ripe fruit in it, not to mention anything else, there were no sandwiches, we had to ask and she made the inmates just dry bread with cheese. I don't know if it was the owner's bad will or her economy, I just know that it's not worth staying at this inn in Púcon.

Great small friendly family-run hotel. Only 10 rooms, all with beautiful lake views. Great breakfast. Self-serve bar (!) based on honor system. English spoken. We got useful excursions tips. Got some laundry done at more than reasonable price. The alley to get to the hotel from the main road is steep but manageable ( except in winter?). Comfortable room with all amenities (but no refrigerator).

I tried very hard to like this property but there are so many failings that I am surprised at the number of positive reviews.
The good points.
- Nice view despite a cell tower in the middle of the view
- Nice terrace
Unfortunately that is where the good points end.
The negatives.
- In summer the rooms are very hot - especially the third floor. There is one window and a ceiling fan. If you are willing to leave your door open you might create some cross circulation.
- Television with no English channels. Come on owners, spend a few pesos.
- No screens on the one window which is a big, big problem because if any lights are on a night then every surface in the room is covered with small black insects - non-biting.
- On arrival the total information provided by reception was here is your room and here is the key to the safe. Nothing else.
- There is a restaurant but no menu. The repetoire seems to be fish or beef. Not much else.
- There is a pool - not heated. There are some lounge chairs but only one small sun umbrella. Unless you are a sun fanatic it is a non-starter.
- Many people will not like the driveway. Steep and rough. No problem for me.
- Breakfast is minimal. Two cereals, one sweetened. A few apples one day. No sliced fresh fruit. Two fruit juices. Some meats, cheeses, bread, and sweets. There were some prepared sandwiches of ham and cheese that you could toast. The bread felt stale including those that used end pieces of the loaf. You can get basic eggs - nothing like that is volunteered - you have to have read TripAdvisor.
- Wi-Fi on third floor was either intermittent or on the third day did not work. Reception and management did not seem to care.
Sell this property at $100 USD less and I might recommend but given the shortcomings... I will not return or recommend. Not a boutique property in my wildest imagination.

The hotel is located at the top of a hill. It is nearly impossible to stay here without a car. The walk up is a challenge, and there are some unfriendly dogs at a house on the way up (the dog viciously attacked a cat one day on our walk up). Even with a car, it is hard to get up to the hotel because the road is old and broken. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive to Pucon downtown.
Some staff speak some English, while others none at all. The menu at the restaurant is very limited (soup, salads and sandwiches) and doesn't change, so don't count on eating there every day or you will get bored. I wish the staff would have been more willing in assisting to book trips or coordinate things. When I asked about trekking, they told me I had to go online and book it myself.
The facilities themselves are very nice and well kept. The rooms were spacious and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. They have a great view over the lake.
Overall a descent place but not a place to stay if you don't speak Spanish and/or don't have a car.

We were a group of 6 friends, so we booked 3 rooms at "CasaEstablo". After our terrible stay at Kunza Hotel & Spa in San Pedro de Atacama in the north of Chile, we arrived at this gem. I can't even think of things that this hotel can do better. I have to say - it's a challenge to get up to it from the main road (the hotel sits on a hill, and the uphill road to it is super steep and rough - so get a couple lessons on manual shift driving before you come!), but, once you've made it, you're in heaven: amazing views over the lake, very comfortable rooms, gracious service, tasty meals, great pool - amazing... We loved it so much that we almost cried when we had to leave... We will certainly be back!

Going up the steep, narrow, poorly paved road to the hotel can be challenging, but once you get there, the place is lovely.
The inn is charming. Our room was large and well appointed, with a big window and a great view of the lake. The bathroom was great except for the lighting. It was overhead, which made for dark faces, so shaving or putting on makeup was a bit difficult. Also the wifi was quite spotty. It worked in some spots, but not others.
The owners were great. They have a small restaurant attached to the hotel, which serves an excellent breakfast and sandwiches and soups at other times. One day our group went to the supermarket to buy dinner. We were missing a few things like mayonnaise, napkins, forks, bottle opener, etc. Our hosts allowed us to use the restaurant and provided us with whatever we were missing, all with a smile and no extra charges. Not many inns would allow that. It was lovely.
We would surely stay at CasaEstablo again.
