It is my second time here and it does not disappoint, we booked through booking but we recommend doing it directly on the hotel's website. The cabin is fully equipped, with air conditioning and an additional wood stove, since power outages are frequent. Wonderful view of the Liucura River, a large space of green areas perfect to come with children so they can run and play. The cabin has a jar that is heated once a day after coordination with the administrator. Italian owners. Cordial, clearly with another culture so it might make some people uncomfortable. At least to me and my travel companion they seemed like kind and cordial people. We paid for breakfast and it was very complete, in a warm and cozy place in the hotel. The restaurant was not operating at the moment, we imagine it was due to capacity issues but it was not our intention on this occasion to eat here. It is a perfect place to disconnect, listen to the river, the waterfall of the carileufu that is within the private shore of the place and see some animals like llamas. Donkeys, geese and chickens. Near the hotel are the eyes of the caburgua where you walk, a good place for photos and a picnic, also close to the Huife hot springs, indomito and Quimeyco, also close to the Amankay cafe, gourmet food with a different menu every day. They sell exquisite sourdough bread. The road has many holes but with caution you can get there in a city car without any problem.

It is a beautiful place, everything is very well done, it seems like a small oasis. We stayed in one of the cabins and the place was very comfortable, the jar for the cabin is the best. It is a very nice place to walk, with trails and places to be next to the river. If what you are looking for is to disconnect from everything, it is ideal.

We returned to this place after 5 years ! .... and it’s only getting better !

The place is located in a great spot, in front of the Carileufu falls with a perfect view from the terrace of the restaurant / hotel.

The place is run by an Italian family, and everyone in the staff looks friendly and happy all the time. The food at the restaurant is home made and it’s delicious !

It’s a perfect destination for a break from the busy days at work and in big cities ....

Totally recomendable !

Bad experience. We arrived at 5:45 p.m. The jar (which is plastic) was cold (we warned that we would arrive at 4 p.m.) it was not hot because according to the owner and administrator who received us, “all passengers prefer the jar at night.” We asked him to heat it up and he told us that it takes 2.5 hours.
The cold room, with only insufficient air conditioning to heat the entire place. We asked him to light the wood stove and he rudely told us that the passenger does that, however he refused to give us paper, kindling or even matches.
Finally he could not heat the jar due to gas problems. We left that same afternoon, requesting a refund of the money, which he agreed to, to find another accommodation and without having the slightest empathy on his part. I would not return and do not recommend it for any reason.

I cannot quite share the enthusiasm of the other reviewers. The location is truly beautiful with magnificent views of Volcan Villarica and the the nearby waterfalls. Our cabin was, however, pretty basic, and frankly a bit underwhelming. The 2nd bedroom was tiny and I would not recommend the chalet it if you travel with older children or as a group of 4 adults. The shower was difficult to adjust (in terms of water pressure and temperature).Breakfast was disappointing and overpriced. Although there are tons of fruit around in Chile at this time of the year, there was hardly any on offer at the breakfast buffet. Bread had to be ordered from the waitress and came in tiny portions of toasts which didn’t fill our stomachs. Considering that we paid the same price for one cabin as we did for two hotel rooms in a very nice 4-5 star hotel in Santiago, there seems to be something wrong with the pricing policy at Salto del Carileufu.

The great feature of this hotel is the site. With wonderful views of 2 volcanos and near a waterfall, it is a very beautiful site. Good for a relaxing vacation.
They have a good Italian restaurant, but the selection is limited and it is expensive.
In order to stay there, you need a car.
The place is difficult to find. Waze and other Internet navigation devices do not operate most of the time in the rural areas of Chile. Maps (downloaded or paper) are not accurate enough.
The hotel sent me instruction on how to arrive there but it was confusing.
Here is what I think is easier to follow:

If you are coming from Villarica (road S-199), you will the 1st round-about of Pucon. Proceed to Caburgua (road S-199). You will reach the 2nd round-about. Proceed to Caburgua. After a few kilometers the road turns right to the international border. Proceed straight on road S-905.
14-15 kilometres from the 2nd round-about, you will see on your right hand side a big school building (this just 3-4 km fro Caburgua). 150-200 meters furhtehr you see the hotel sign and road S-919 sign, pointing to the left (road means unpaved road). Drive about 2 km and you will see 1 more sign to the hotel (1 km). After 1 km you will get a sign pointing to the left (400 m) and then the last sign and you have arrived at the gate. Ring the reception for them to open the gate.

A small family owned hotel run in a great location. The hotel is between Pucon an Caburgua (actually closer to the latter), and it has its own Falls ("Saltos") that are visible from the restaurant, and you can hear it at night and its very relaxing.

The food is great, and everything comes from the little garden they have ... Italian food at its best.

We would definitely be back here ...

This is a charming family owned hotel. Pictures shown on internet correspond exactly to the natural beauty of that place. Breakfast and meals are served with vegetables collected from the garden. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We have a nice view of the volcano Villarica from the hotel. However, it is a bit difficult to find it. So, ask for instructions and a map. For the same reason, avoid arriving there for the first time at night. As it is far from Pucón, you will need a car to stay there.

My wife and I spent about a week in this outstanding family owned and run paradise located just by a Carileufu river water fall. Nature all around and You have a spectacular view of the Villarica volcano. The hotel is small and spotlessly clean. In addition it has a couple of "cabañas" designed for families. Once you get there you will have nothing to worry about. Rossana and Andreas, sister and brother will make you feel like in home and will take care of any need you may have. Now, who is in the kitchen??? I understand it's Papa and Mama. WOW. They have a four or five dish menu. Don't matter the election you make, just outstanding!
I did find the room bit small and missed having a working table and WiFi for a couple of conference calls I had. Also the heating system is not that effective, but this does not change my rating from EXCELLENT. Impressive place, great food, but more importantly, beautiful people!

Great family hotel outside of Pucon. A suitable place for a short rest by the pool during the busy trip in Chile or a base for nature walks around the reign. the hotel as a good Italian restaurant. we good service but not pushy.
