We had booked to stay for 4 nights in Pucon but had not realised that we were going to be staying quite a way out from the centre where everything is happening. So we came into the town centre and after checking a few other places found this lovely hotel. Hotel Patagonia should rate more than no. 7 in the review lists. It seems quite new and the rooms, although not huge are well equipped, and the beds, linen and towels first class

The staff are delightful and very helpful. Pucon is a lovely town and this hotel is right in the centre near to the many restaurants and shops.

The Patagonia Pucon is located very conveniently next to the main shopping street (O´Higgins) and to the main restaurant street (Fresia).
The rooms are well sized and have a very nice, modern interior.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. When my wife got sick, the recptionist drove us in her free time to the hospital, translated there for the doctor and found out where the next, open pharmacy was!

Great rate and nice accommodations for the price. Walls seem thin and you can hear just about anything from your room (including water pipes from restrooms)

If you have trouble sleeping head somewhere else, for me it was very good.

Will come again to save money and enjoy a good location (just in front of the best rated restaurant. I guess I would come with the wife though (too much noise from the stairs, aisle and pipes).

This hotel is apparently rated three star but really struggles to deserve that rating.

No heating or air conditioning, or even a fan, within the rooms means that it is very difficult to control room temperature. Our north-facing room had the sun streaming in through the window - we stayed in summer & it was very hot - but with the curtain drawn, we could not open the balcony door (which was the only way to regulate room temperature). An unsheltered balcony, uncomfortably hot. In winter could be OK, but as the rooms are unheated as mentioned, I think that would be a problem as well.

Breakfast was very basic: cereal, toast, ham, cheese & jam. No wi-fi.

Saving grace is that the Parilla restaurant just across the road is really good!

Stayed here for a few nights while on a motorcycle trip through Patagonia. Our room was clean and close to everything, easy to get to the restaurants, beach and everything else the town has to offer. We enjoyed our stay

The hotel was annoying in many little ways with no redeeming qualities. No elevators. Stained bedsheets. No heating. inconveniently located power plugs. The breakfast was blah and the place mats were kinda skewed and unusable. Well, one redeeming quality - across the street from an excellent meat restaurant.

The hotel is in the centre of town which is what we wanted. They have free secure parking around the back of the hotel which is handy.
The hotel itself is very nice and clean. It doesn't have any lifts so don't stay here if you can't do stairs. We had to carry our own bags up the stairs which wasn't a problem for us but might be for others. our room was fine, not huge but it had a balcony and the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast is good and they have local produce which makes it interesting. That is the only meal they do. Wifi is free and available in the room. Oddly for a hotel there is no laundry service.
Some staff speak english and the hotel also offers free access to some thermal pools.
As you can see it's a slightly unusual place but it worked for us as we wanted to eat in town and quite a few hotels are slightly out of town.
We were there off season and Pucon was quiet, in peak season the population triples, as I suspect do the prices!

We stayed at this hotel in August 2014. It rates itself as three star and is certainly at the top of its category. It is located at the heart of the little town with all the shops and restaurants and the beach not more than three blocks walk away. The hotel has a very nice rustic lounge, and serves a great continental breakfast with some good local ingredients. Rooms are well appointed, stylish and spotless, with good mattresses and linen. Only slight drawback was one evening there was not enough hot water.

Highly recommended.

Stayed her in March 2013 and could not fault it. Pleasant reception, English spoken, offered free tickets and transfer to the Terma (volcanic thermal baths). The lounge areas are comfortable and relaxing with a lovely fire at night for guests to enjoy. The room is a good size, clean, a large bed, separate ensuite, and with a great view of the volcano. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel. We had room 2 with balconies to two sides. Breakfast was good with a range of hot and cold food, good selection of teas and coffee. The hotel is managed by Patagonia Andina management group which also runs Patagonia Experience Tourism. We got the impression they didn't quite know how to pitch the hotel - informal and relaxed for Santiago's middle class youth who come here to enjoy rock climbing and river rafting, or for the more discerning boutique hotel clientele. It falls somewhere in the middle, and it worked for us! Recommended.

There is a great restaurant opposite, a Uruguayan steakhouse. Expensive, but the meals are so huge you only ned one course. We shared a rump steak with all the extras and it was more than we could manage.
