I've been to El Dorado three times over the past two years: once on a school trip, once with family, and once with friends. There are different sized cabañas to suit group sizes, and if you can fill most of the beds, the price really isn't that bad, especially considering the quality of the cabañas. The living rooms are filled with high-quality TVs and couches that provide the perfect remedy to a long and uncomfortable overnight bus ride from Santiago. They're within walking distance of both the supermarket and downtown and the owners are some of the lovliest people I have ever met.

Cabanãs El Dorado as a park is really great, with a beatiful park, with trees, pool, a little brook also, really beatiful. But, as an hotel, as they are Cabanas, you should think twice. First because they have quite high prices, the Cabanas are very well equiped, but you don´t have estructures like breakfast and restaurant. Cabanas El Dorado are nice if you take many people in one Cabana, because the rates are per cabana and not per person. And also if you are willing to make barbicues and cook for the family. If not, take and hotel. I had some problems with the shower that didin´t work well and also with some windows oh the cabana that we could not close lock at night. The staff (little staff) is very courteus.

Hola. Gracias por sus comentarios. En efecto nosotros somos cabañas y no hotel, por lo mismo no ofrecemos servicios de comida. Nuestras cabañas tienen cocinas completamente equipadas para poder disfrutar de ellas, y supermercados muy cercanos. Por lo mismo nuestra relación precio - cantidad de personas es mas conveniente que un hotel. Esperamos a futuro contar nuevamente con su visita. Saludos!

On January 3, 2015 my family suffered a rather large and traumatic robbery in the cabins gold, Pucon Chile.
Whenever we travel I ensure the facility maintains very good standards and with high levels security as we traveled with our 4 small kids.(13,11,6 girls and a baby of six months.) Management assured us that there were cameras and guards on property 24 hours, as it was a lodge designed especially for families.We were robbed within five hours while we ate in the city, the thieves knew exactly what we had and the location of all my belongings. It was a clear that the thieves worked with employees of the cabin because they stole everything including the safe. A total of $ 25,000 in jewelry, electronics, clothing, various accessories and money.
Later, the owner apologized and told me to please give him 30 days to arrange your insurance and refund the stolen merchandise.The day after the theft I spoke to the manager of the cabins to show us the video and we clarified that there were no cameras or security guards of any kind.Since then nobody has answered any of our emails or and declined multiple calls from us.
The ultimate purpose of the reviews I would like to "post" on sites is clear that;
1. Cabañas The Dorado in the city of Pucon, Chile so is completely unsuitable for families because of the lack of certainty and security.
2. The owner; Juan Mardones is NOT honorable and honest by not fulfilling their promises to repay our lost items and then lying about the existence of safety equipment at their property. Thus putting everyone at risk the including all my children who played in the gardens unattended.

I stayed in this apartment for a week and below are the many issues encountered which made the experience less than pleasurable:
- no towels for 3 days
- water leaking in bathroom from sink and shower, floor always wet
- couldn't use safe for 3 days-it was locked shut
- back door in main bedroom didn't lock, was told repairman would fix it , he never did
- hot water shut off one day, no one explained how to fix it
- one morning, was woken up at 7 AM from men doing repairs in the building
- wasted a lot of our time discussing these issues with owner, they were never resolved and nor was a refund provided as discussed

So happy we chose to spend a few nights here as it was so relaxing. The cabins are comfortable and large. The only problems we had was the wifi kept cutting out and there were no cleaning products to do the washing up. Very small problems in such a relaxing quiet stay. The receptionist only speaks Spanish but is friendly and helped us to use the printer and keep our bags. Loved the Ping pong table and just wish it was warmer to test the pool out!

I stayed in a Cabana with 4 friends. A friend and I had made plans to depart from Pucon to visit Chiloe after our stay in El Dorado, but missed the last bus for that night, and therefore couldn't leave until first thing in the morning. The manager offered to let us stay through the night at no extra charge. In addition, because we were traveling in a large group, the management raffled off a return trip with a free weekend for 6 in one of their Cabanas. This exceptional accommodation and customer service earned the 5 star rating. The Wifi in many parts of the resort was very spotty or didn't work at all, and we never got the jets in the Jacuzzi to turn on. The Cabanas were otherwise beautiful and clean. My travels were part of a pre-paid trip, so I can't comment specifically on the price or the value, but I know that with 5 people it is very affordable.

I went here with my boyfriend to spend a week in the south if Chile. I found those cabañas by tripadvisor, but was a little bit scared of the less reviews. But we took the risk and called El Dorado that we would stay there for a week with 2 persons. They told us that they would give us a cabaña for 4 persons with the biggest jacuzzi for the same price (55k pesos each night - winter price) the cabaña was very warm and romantic. The cleaning service was also very good they even did the dishes! I hope i have the change to go back one day!
