I visited with a team of archaeologists and 1982 veterans to participate in a battlefield survey project. We couldn’t have been happier with the lodge! From the warm welcome we received from Mandy, Violet, Zach and the rest of the team, to the consistently excellent service throughout, it was exactly what we’d hoped.

Reasonable prices nonetheless offer very comfortable single rooms, with en-suite showers. Loos are communal, but seem to be cleaned about every hour, so we’re sparkling throughout. The bed was genuinely one of the most comfortable I’ve found, and I appreciated the ability to open the window and control the radiator - you can choose between thoroughly cosy and polar blast, according to preference. The shower too is impressive: seriously powerful and scalding hot. Food was excellent, and very plentiful.

In all, thoroughly recommended. The prices will catch the eye of anyone travelling on a budget, but don’t for a minute imagine that means tolerating a grubby B&B - this is quite the opposite. Aside from the lodge itself, you can be sure of excellent advice and contacts for all manner of excursions. It is on the outskirts of town, but also next door to the best coffee in Stanley. We’ll be back!

Thank you to Sheri , Mandy , Zac and the team for all their kindness.
We were delayed for three days due to our flight having technical problems in Cape Verde.
From the first moment to the last the personnel could not have done enough for us.
Accommodation is spot on,, you have access to the community fridge , bread , juice , water etc 24 hours a day

After embarking on a nine hour walk to Tumbledown, Longdon, Two Sisters, Harriet ,William and Wireless ridge we suffered from windburn
Sheri and Mandy supplied us with Aloe Vera gel brought in from their own homes to ease the irritation
Also Zac offered to drive us to the pharmacy
Customer service is second to none,
If you visit the Falkland Islands you cannot stay anywhere better than Lookout Lodge

Stayed here for just under 14 months as included in my work contract. Would probably not have stayed so long if it hadn’t been for the Staff and facilities at Lookout Lodge. Home from home.

Converted shipping containers similar to those in Edinburgh but with tv in room and good powerful hot water in main showers area. Just missed out on the new en suite wing opening late Dec 2022. Food varied and plentiful with 24/7 cereal , toast and coffee. Chefs in non busy periods happy to do requests. WiFi like everything in Falklands island speed but perfectly adequate… if you’re in Falklands long term take out a monthly contract. The accommodation is right next to the gas station and a superb coffee/cake shop only a 15 min stroll from central Stanley. Next to only atm on the island. Would recommend for central point to explore the Falklands as also not far from local airport giving access to all the tourist sites. Staff could not have been more helpful friendly and obliging. English and Spanish spoken.
If I am ever lucky enough go back I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Stanley. Thank you for the wonderful memories

Lookout Lodge offers good value accommodation in Port Stanley and was very clean and comfortable. I did find it difficult to remotely organise accommodation in the Falkland Islands but Lookout Lodge were very helpful accepting a reservation by email. I had originally just planned to stay at the start and end of my visit but ended up staying for longer and used it as a base for travelling around the Falklands. They were very flexible and even let me keep some of my baggage there while I was away. I also liked how tea/coffee and toast/cereal was always available. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, a special shout out to Mandy and Valeska who both went above and beyond helping me with advice about travelling around the islands and relaying phone messages. The Lodge is close to Stanley services which is useful for car rental and within easy walking distance of the centre of the town.

Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Only had breakfast which was very nice.
The only down side was the very small en suite. So small it was impossible to get dried or dressed without coming back into bedroom. Great communal areas. Overall good place for a short stay

Stayed a couple of nights in Stanley before heading to the West Falklands.
Super friendly staff at the reception desk even drove me down to gyspy cove one day to see the penguins. The breakfast was really nice and free tea and toast. The room was clean and newly renovated, with a comfy bed.
But it is the staff that make this place, there was no job the couldn't help with, be it helping book tours or just dropping me at the supermarket.

Lovely place to stay. Couldn’t have had a warmer welcome. Great staff who did their best to ensure a homely stay over Christmas with all the trimmings. Clean rooms and good breakfasts. A bit out of town but east walking. I would stay here again.

I had such a great time here. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable with lovely views over the harbour. I was very happy to have blackout blinds on the windows as the sun was up early and I didn't want to be!. Food is available on site aswell as facilities to make your own tea and coffee whenever you like. There is a small but pleasant outdoor space at the back of the building. It has to be said that when I first arrived I was a bit put off by the building which is basically a load of containers which don't exactly look salubrious but I loved staying at the lodge. The staff are all great fun and there were always interesting guests coming and going all. I stayed at many other places on the island which were more expansive and luxurious but I enjoyed my stay here the most. It's real down to earth accommodation but has little luxuries like a great Wi-Fi signal (which is really something special on the islands!) A pool table and a small sunny reading room. Bonnie, Mandy and Stuart were always on hand to help out with things like car hire or tours and they made the simple acvomadation feel very homely. I loved staying here and am looking forward to going back when I next visit the islands.

Good value for money accommodation. This budget lodge has recently undergone a major refurbishment in the last year. Looking smarter and more modern, is now under new management. This establishment is a good quality and a cheap alternative short stay accommodation.

Stayed here for a week with some friends during a visit to the Falklands. From the outside this place looks horrendous and its not much better inside. The rooms are single rooms with very cheap matresses I had a chest of drawers in my room, but no wardrope of even hooks to enable you to hang things up. The decor is brown plastic panels of the walls, very old very dated very depressing. The rooms are not particulary clean and in the week that we stayed there the rooms were never cleaned and the bedding was never changed and we had to use the same towel for the whole week! The showers and toilets are communial and in need of a bit of maintenance with leaky taps and poor water pressure in the showers and again not very clean. The breakfast is cereal and toast and you can make yourself tea and coffee at anytime in the dinning room, but once again not very clean. I could never recommend this place to anyone nor would I ever use it again!
