Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

was disappointed with the quality of the room and the service. The room was small and the furniture was old. The hotel is 3-star and below required level compared to the room price. The only positive thing about the hotel was the location on Orchard Street in the center of Singapore. Everything was close to me markets, shops, and restaurants. The breakfast options were also very limited and mostly Asian breakfast. I expected more variety and quality . The staff was ok. I do not think I will stay at this hotel again unless I see some changes.

I have never reviewed a place during my stay but this a first and hopefully the last. We joked about waiters spitting in our food but then realised THEY’LL ACTUALLY HAVE TO LIFT A FINGER AND WORK to make that happen. I could write an essay to describe the services and the horrors but I’ll save myself from the mind numbing experiences of last 3 days. They all have a degree in rudeness to qualify for a job here, the standard answer for every question is a NO! Can someone help with the luggage (we were a large group with seniors and kids) - reached out to the reception and he said “Not my job” (totally understand, question was can anyone help) My son is a little unwell, can I take a slice of bread and butter to the room - No, nothing goes out of the dining area Dragged my son out to the place and found only cold milk - can you please warm this a little, the answer obviously was that no we don’t give hot milk 🤷🏻‍♀️ They don’t have pool towels, asked us to use room towels then refused to give us a fresh towel on our return coz 1 day 2 towels rule … I could go on and on but I still have half a day left here and I have to deal with the Satan- the staff here so back i go! PS - read all the other reviews for the room smell and the lack of general hygiene at this place

As soon as we got in to our room (4 rooms) on the 6th floor smells mildew and stuffy. We asked for wash cloths and gave us hand towels instead, spoke to front desk and was advised that they don’t have anything at all. When I was trying to tuck myself in there was breadcrumbs on my bed. Also, they have a complimentary breakfast, I didn’t even enjoy eating my breakfast because the food was awful. Please everyone if you happened to go on vacation in Singapore NEVER go to this Hoel, I will not recommend. This Hotel is OLD and lousy.

Apart from the location I couldn’t think of a worst hotel to stay in. The reception was terrible, the service dreadful. I booked for a premium room the only thing premium about it was the bath tub. The smell on the 9th floor was so bad I asked to be moved and as a result I had to down grade but they wouldn’t pay me back the difference. Went on the 7th floor the smell was not as bad they have serious issue with humidity and mould. My credit card wasn’t accepted although I had money on it and the service was so badly they just wanted me to pay in cash. I didn’t try the breakfast as I was worried to get sick. If you are after a cheap and cheerful hotel do not go there!

This hotel was awful. It seemed like they are winding it down to close. The walls were filthy where they had attempted with wipe down mould, smelled mouldy, mould around air conditioner. Not one of the plugs worked, maintenance came and put new ones in. Bathroom sink plug got stuck, maintenance again. Pool closed indefinitely, can go next door however wasn’t told this before the stay. Breakfast buffet was the worst I have ever encountered. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again!

Mixed feeling as it's an average hotel, superior rooms are very basic rooms, great bed, basic bathroom with hot/cold showers not stable, basic breakfast but two very positive points : perfect location and very good value versus very expensive Singapore Hotels and city. Wifi connection perfect.

We thought that this hotel being in the Orchard area would have been to a better standard, but we were wrong. The photos on the website showcasing the decor were wrong, we had old worn-out furniture that you'd not normally see in a hotel. The foyer area and dinning room didnt have the same furniture as in the photos. We were given a room with 2 single beds, The rooms smelt musty and were dirty, you could see the buildup of dirt and grime in the bathroom and the carpets were very worn down. The halls had a mouldy dank smell. Our pillows were hard and old, we asked for others but were told we couldn't have any, I questioned this a few times bewildered, and they stood by their stand on no more pillows. I've never seen this before. We had no hot water for 2 nights, we were late in the first night and out early the next day - when we raised this, they sent a maintenance person to our room, suddenly we had super-hot water and unable to regulate properly. The bathroom was super small, you could rest your feet on the bath whilst sitting on the toilet. The bath was dangerous when getting in and out of the shower as you had to climb into the bath to shower, twice I slipped when getting out so I resorted to holding onto the handrail AND the shower curtain rail. The dining room where we were sent for breakfast didn't have couples' tables, everyone was sat at a round table seated for 8 or 10. the food was terrible. The breakfast sausages were not much bigger than your finger and appeared to be processed meat and not an actual sausage, The choice was very limited and bland and all plastic plates and cups. We paid for breakfast for each day but only ate there the one time. The photos on the website are nothing like the dining room we were sent to for breakfast. There was also a small lounge chair in the room - when I sat on it I thought I was going to fall through to the floor - it was old and the pattern worn out, no cushioning, you actually sank into the chair. The pattern was so worn away that you could see its days were done. We had a big week of events and just rode it out. If you're thinking of staying here, I'd suggest visiting the 7-eleven to stock up on Panadol and tiger balm, which is what I did to combat the aching neck and back pain from the bed and pillow. I even thought about buying my own pillow but didn't see a shop close by. In hindsight - we should have checked out and gone elsewhere.

The staff at the reception. are very helpful and nice. The water dispenser in the room is top class and normally seen in hotels. It was a sort of novelty and really useful. The rooms are decent but there are problems with the bathroom cum toilet. The curtain at the shower is inadequate to prevent water entering the toilet area. It is an awkward hotel where there is no restaurant functioning except during the breakfast hours. Nor do we have any decent eatery in the vicinity. The food on offer for breakfast buffet might have been a delight for a non vegetarian ; but my wife and I being vegetarians found it extremely difficult together a decent breakfast combination to meet our nutritional needs. The bus stop nearby makes it easy for accessing various parts of the city.

Boleh lahhhh… The lady receptionist and the “veteran” Chinese bellboy with spectacle on was very rude! He called me & my friends crazy and bad words in Chinese language and assumed that I don’t understand. And yet, he still unashamedly ask for tips. LOL no way dude! Room was just okay - but for the cleanliness I will give 4 out of 10. Due to hairs on the floors and Spoiled bread still in the refrigerator from the last occupants. Yep you read that right.. 3 pcs of spoiled bread still in the refrigerator and the cleaners didn’t realize it??? Pffftttt… No, I will not recommend other people to stay here. It’s overrated and overpriced. Location very near to centerpoint but it’s useless because nothing to see there. Oh yea I also remember I put “do not disturb” sign but they still went inside to do housekeeping.
