We chose to stay at the Ibis Budget Singapore Selegie, which was very conveniently located just a couple of minutes walk from the Little India MRT. We had a room which was reasonably sized, always clean and more importantly the use of a rooftop pool which we loved to use in the evenings after a long day of exploring in the humidity. We found almost every time we visited we had the whole pool to ourselves. The staff were always incredibly friendly and my only criticism would be that the WIFI in our 8th floor room could be a bit patchy at times.

Dear Chelsea, Thank you for choosing ibis budget Singapore Selegie as your preferred accommodation choice here in Singapore! The Hotel Team works hard to meet expectations like yours and we are happy to hear we hit the mark for you. Many hotels guests had found our hotel location ideally located, which is within walking distance to both Little India MRT Station and Bugis MRT Station. Additionally, there are many amenities such as eateries and convenience stores located in the vicinity. The Little India District is just a 200m stroll, where one can explore and discover the many interesting sights and sounds in this ethnic enclave. After a day out discovering the city sights, guests can head to the rooftop pool for a relaxing swim or enjoy a panoramic view of Singapore’s city skyline. Complimentary Wi-Fi service is provided to all guests during their hotel stay. Whilst it is good for checking of emails and messaging, it might not have been suitable for the streaming of videos and playing of mobile phone games, which might have attributed to your less than satisfactory Wi-Fi experience. I trust that you had a great time touring Singapore and I look forward to welcome you back for another awesome stay here! Regards, Jack Chee Senior Customer Relations Manager

Ibis is building or renovating a few hotels in Singapore. The one I stayed is on Sims street between Kallang and Aljunied MRT stations. I did ask how come the second floor rooms don't have double pane windows seeing that the traffic is just feets away. The front desk said the reason was the building is a heritage site so can't change, however, it's probably possible to add another pane of glass from the inside. For those sensitive to noise should book higher floor rooms or rooms not facing the busy street. The bathroom has two flaws, one is that it's small so that one has to stand aside after opening so as to be able to push the door closed to get to the toilet. The second is that during a shower the water will flow toward the drain near the toilet although one can reduce that by building a towel dam but the bath mat towel is not long enough. This is not too big a deal as one can use the floor mat towel to soak up the water and wring it out three or four times. A curious room feature is that there is a 3 or 4 inch wide foam divider that wedges between the two twin beds and sticks 4 or so inches above the beds. That said, this hotel had a promotional arrangement with a restaurant next door for free breakfast. Not sure how long this promotion will last. The hotel location is great for fruit lovers as there are fruit stands within a few hundred feet where one can sit down to eat durian. In my three days stay I bought two Kg of mangosteen, one Kg of rambutan and ate two small durians each costing only 5 SIN dollars. The stands provide plastic gloves. Nearby are many food places including two Vietnamese restaurants, also quite a few seafood places, Indian food places, local food places (meaning open outdoor dining with cooling by fans)

Dear Robert, Thank you for choosing our hotel as your preferred accommodation choice here in Singapore. We are glad to hear that you had enjoyed the location of our hotel with the proximity to many fruit stalls and eateries in the vicinity. I hope you had enjoyed all the different kinds of tropical fruits! The road traffic generally do not cause any noise disturbance to our guests with the windows closed even on the lower floors. Thank you again for sharing your experience. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Warm Regards, Roland Guest Experience Executive

Great location, very close to Little India MRT (~ 5 mins walk) and Tekka Place.
Room is very small, but clean and beds were (much to my joy) very firm mattresses! We were offered breakfast but weren't feeling well in the morning. Left the hotel around lunchtime only to come back later that night and find out that staff had delivered two packed breakfast sets for us. Bathroom water pressure was excellent, given we were on the 8th floor. Just make sure you hit the 'heat water' button in front of the bathroom as soon as you get to your room!

Would suit people who don't spend much time in their rooms and use it only as a home base for rest.

My only downfall was that we were only allowed one access card for our room, even though we had two people staying. We asked, but confirmed each room could only have one key activated. This can be very inconvenient for some people, and it would be worthwhile to offer a second card, even if a cash/money deposit needs to be taken by the hotel until the cards are returned

I stayed in Ibis budget for three nights, and had a wonderful time.
I checked in with Ellesha and she is a credit to the hotel, very professional.
Room was overlooking the road and everything was working perfectly : from air conditioner to the equipment in the room.
Bed was comfortable and all clean.
I would also add that if you use Ibis budget in Europe, they do not provide as many things in the room compared with this, and also in my opinion the room was with enough space for me, I do not see all the complaints of not enough space for luggage.
The hotel is situated ten minutes walk from Little India Station and also well connected with the main attractions. I had breakfast only once , which was with just few choices; to be honest it did not appeal to me, but I was happy anyway with all surrounded.
I will definitely return if I am in Singapore.
Thumbs-up for the Reception staff (excellent)!

Room just too small no room for cabin size suitcase and the staffs aren't so friendly. I asked the receptionist named Ayu and she didn't respond quickly, she took time to still using her phones before answering me. And the next day, she ate ramen at the reception table while she's the only staff that is available so i have to wait until she finished chewing her meal so that i can talked to her. i have been to several Accor hotels and this hotel by far the worst. However, the location is ok about 7 minutes walk to Little India MRT station, walking distance to small mall named Tekka Place, near bugis, and masjid. But you might want to think twice before staying here specially those who wants to get a good rest and enjoy the room service etc. and if you're traveling with family, i highly DO NOT recommend you to stay at this hotel.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. We came early due to our early flight. We could use the swimmingpool and our luggage was properly stored. Our room was ready at 1pm. Alth`ough not very big, it was clean, good bed and a great shower. Staff was friendly and helpfull giving tips and also arranging a packed breakfast and a taxi the next morning to the arirport.

Front desk staff is totally unprofessional they don’t have manners to talk to a customer, they are very arrogant and rude, they provide checkins to short stay and deny check in to overnight stay, just because they sell same room twice. They give you different excuses but the truth is they won’t allow you check in even if all the rooms are empty as they want to sell them for short stays before they allot room to you. Almost 100 people checked out from hotel in front of me and they still didn’t bothered to provide a room give different excuses all the time. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Even if you get this for free.

I stayed here during Christmas and tariffs do not justify the facilities provided here. Rooms are very very small, you can barely move inside the room. There is no wardrobe but they have given 2 hangers to hang your clothes on wall. Bathrooms are very small. TV remote did not work during our entire stay. Its not easily visible from the road so, you are more likely to miss it in your first pass. There are many good things though, Reception staff is courteous and they helped us in the early check-in and car booking. Room is serviced every day but you need to tell them if bed covers to be changed. Very near to Little India MRT and Rochor MRT. Bus stop is right outside the Hotel.

Dear Sirish, Thank you for your feedback and compliments for our lovely hotel team and excellent location. With Singapore facing increasing land constraints, it is a common trait to see accommodation properties offering rooms including bathrooms that are small in size. This is also becoming an acceptable trend now, in consideration that many travellers spend their entire day out exploring the sights of Singapore and only return to the hotel at night to rest. Also as being part of Accor chain of hotels advocating sustainability of the environment, we do not change our linen daily for short stay guest unless requested. The Hotel Team looks forward to be of service to you again. Warm Regards, Roland Guest Experience Executive

This hotel is strictly a business stay hotel.
The hotel is close to MRT which is very helpful but we were a couple with a baby and ww found the room very tiny.No place to keep more than 1 bag.
Secondly, the matress or the quilt seemed to have some bugs in it.
Every night i was scratching my legs and no use complainong

I would not recommend this hotel for a family stay

So we arrived early Monday morning, our room wasn’t ready (not their fault) but we expected them to hold our bags in a locked room. They were literally thrown at the back wall in the middle of the lobby for anyone to take. Then when we did get up to our room, both exhausted, we seen one of our pillows had blood on it. We brought this to the attention of the receptionist and no apology was given. Once that was sorted we finally tried to get some sleep only to find loud construction directly outside our window which we were never once informed about. We had to ration toilet paper because we always arrived home late to find the maid service didn’t refill the toilet roll. There was no soap for washing hands and shower gel ran out after day one. Then trying to have a shower and the shower head came off as we lifted it from the holder. Weren’t expecting too much from this hotel but still left very underwhelmed. Small box rooms that aren’t clean, staff that aren’t particularly nice or helpful & missing the basic necessities. Would definitely rethink your choice
