Detailed Reviews
Stayed at the standard twin room for two nights this January 2024. The room was very small (10 sqm) and had no windows but it was clean enough for a comfortable stay. The shower had good water pressure and the towels were changed daily. There’s a 24-hour reception and the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. There was no breakfast included in our room stay but you’ll be spoiled for choices with hawker stalls and restaurants specializing in Peranakan cuisine around the area. There’s also a vending machine for bottled drinks near the entrance of the hotel and a 7-11 is a few meters away. The hotel is also quite close to the famous Peranakan Houses and a lot of vibe-y coffee shops and specialty stores. Consider staying here if you’d like to be close to the charming, Old World architecture of Singapore, away from the ultra modern city center.

This hotel is located outside the city center but close to public transport (which is great in Singapore) and you can get to the both city and the airport in approximately 30 minutes. Room as always in Ibis budget is small but has everything you need. The bed is comfortable so you can have a nice rest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are some restaurants nearby, but I didn’t try them.

Dear Maciek, We are happy to hear that you had enjoyed your stay with us. Our hotel indeed allows for easy access to city center and airport via Singapore's world class public transport system. Bus 33 and 154 right at our hotel goes to Dakota and Paya Lebar MRT stations respectively. Thank you for highlighting our comfortable beds and the warm service from our staffs. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Warm Regards, Roland Guest Experience Executive

On arrival we were greeted by a moldy smell throughout the room. There is a window in the room, but the smell does not disappear even if you ventilate.
The room appears clean apart from foreign female hair on the floor. The room has a nice size for a short stay, there are hangers and a shelf for your suitcase.
Music noise can be heard from bars on the street, but it was not a problem with the windows closed.
The AC in the room works fine.
Unstable WiFi.
Nice beds, duvets and pillows.

+1
The Ibis hotel has just been renovated and has all amenities you can ask for in a budget hotel: practical & pretty interior, kettle, fridge, air con and elevator.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location in a very pretty historical district is perfect for a night between flights: the taxi to the airport takes 10minutes max and there are plenty of restaurants and bars around.
Within 15-20min wslking you’ll get to a park by the sea with coffeeshops.
The only drawback is that the room had no window but aside from that it was perfect!

The front desk gave another guest a duplicate card key to the same room I'm staying. I am with my 3 year old toddler and we both had a scare. We are already dressed for comfort and decided to tyrn in for the night when this guest barged in out of nowhere! When I called the front desk, they informed me that my name was not shown in the system which is absurb! This is very dangerous for solo female travellers if the issue is to be repeat again just because their system is faulty. And the staff don't even bother to investigate. In case that this issue happened, please do a double lock on your door.

Dear Steffi, Thank you for taking time to write a review of your hotel stay. Our hotel team is looking into this, however, we are unable to locate your booking and our Front Desk team do not recall receiving any feedback on such an incident. Nonetheless, we want to assure you we take security-related incidents very seriously, and our team have received a refresher course of the hotel protocols to ensure such incidents do not happen. Customer Service is great! The lady at the counter (overnight staff) was amazing. She guided me in getting the local app for taxi to save almost 50% of fare. From Changi Airport to the hotel is about 12min drive and I paid $30 SGD with Grab taxi but same going back with TADA I paid $16 SGD! Thanks for the lovely tip and also booking mea cab! Customer 5 star!
Rooms are relatively small. We stayed for one night (Sunday) $145 SGD. i think it was but over pricing given the size of the room and bathroom! However perfect for just overnight stay or transit stay. Good for couple or solo not for family. With our two big suitcases room was jammed pack no place to walk.
Location is good!

Stayed ten days due to Reno at home.
Housekeeper is lazy and works with an attitude. He told me they only clean our room late in the afternoon because they give priority to checked out rooms. What logic is that? Our room was not clean until late in the afternoons. There’s no way to rest in a clean room if you wanted to.
Another incident was I was told that I will be charged a $20 if I lost my room card second time. Ridiculous isn’t it?
I don’t recommend anyone to stay ever in this hotel and certainly I will not return.

Booked 2rooms for 4 people for two nights prior to Cruise & was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Price was good especially with Accor membership. Rooms were of a good size, good bathrooms; comfortable beds & pillows & clean & very quiet. Two front desk staff very helpful. Good location with shops, restaurants, bars nearby but area not as clean as other parts of Singapore (not hotels fault). Only negative would be that towels need to be upgraded & soap for the sink needed. I would probably book here again.

Located just outskirts of Katong area, this former Fragrance Budget hotel just got it's new name to Ibis Budget. Room is decent enough if all you wanted is just sleep after a long day in Singapore.
It's clean & quiet for those unfussy travelers.

Overall, very satisfied with the hotel. Thanks to the receptionist guy who was very helpful. Only point was that the room keys were deactivated around 11.30 am before we checked out. The check out was 12pm actually. Then we couldnt open the room doors with the keys. Therefore, asked the staff to open us the room doors to take our luggages frm the rooms. A bit shocking why the room keys were deactivated before 12pm. We stayed in two rooms and both rooms keys were same. Didnt understand it. Except for that, i will recommend this hotel.
