Raffles Hotel stands as an emblem of luxury in the eyes of many visitors, who find the steep prices to be a fair trade-off for a memorable stay. Guests are charmed by its elegant atmosphere that marries tradition with modernity, and its central location earns high marks for convenience. The hotel's opulent suites and spotless cleanliness are frequently lauded, although a few guests point out minor inconsistencies.
While the world-class amenities like the Long Bar and butler service receive accolades, some guests have encountered issues with Wi-Fi and gym facilities. Despite occasional service hiccups, the staff's professionalism and attention to detail are often highlighted.

My family and I stayed at the 2 Bedroom Residence for 3 nights. The room was so spacious! The living room was spacious and it was a very comfortable stay. The room was always tidy, and the casual but warm service of leaving a glasses cloth and attaching a clip to the charging cable was really nice. They delivered fruits and sweets, and even changed the flowers on the table, which was the best service. The Tiffin Room breakfast had a carefully selected menu and was very delicious, and the Long Bar was also a fun memory. The guest area was well secured, so even though there were a lot of people, I was able to stay with peace of mind. When we returned to the hotel, the doorman was very kind, which was very much appreciated. Everything was wonderful and wonderful, and it was a great memory. I will definitely come back again.

What Can I say, the family and I have stayed many times at The Raffles over the past 20 years and it never disappoints. On this occasion i was celebrating my 60th birthday with my wife, children and grandchildren and they went way beyond making me feel very special indeed. We are fortunate to be in a position to travel extensively and have stayed at many wonderful properties around the world, but one thing is, The Raffles is by far our preferred property. From the front office staff who sort out our bookings, The Butlers who look after us during our stay, Housekeeping who do such a wonderful job which might I add cannot be faulted, keeping in mind my wife is very picky in the cleaning department, to the concierge department, they were all very professional and attentive.
We had two Palm Court Suite's next to each other, which i would recommend if you have family with you, they are large and as you would expect are luxuriously appointed. The raffles have several room types and we have tried them all over the years and they are all very luxurious appointed, so it just boils down to preference.
Location is perfect and is across the road from Raffles City shopping center which has many shops and dining options. That said, the inhouse restaurants and in room dinning cannot be faulted, as you would expect from Raffles.
We highly recommend if you are looking at wanting a fantastic experience, I would always recommend The Raffles, don't even hesitate.
Thank you to everyone at Raffles who made my 60th birthday such a memorable experience for not only myself but my whole family you made not only me but the whole family feel very special.

The Raffles Hotel in Singapore lived up to my expectations and more. We were escorted to our room by a cheerful staff member who familiarized us with the hotel. Our room was one of the best I have had anywhere with a beautiful large bathroom including a soaker tub and great toiletries. The room was clean, well maintained, and had too many amenities to mention individually. We had an attentive butler who brought us welcoming Singapore Slings and delicious chocolates. Room service was fast and excellent. Great wifi. The hotel has several bars and restaurants including the famous Long Bar but we preferred the elegant Writers Bar. The breakfast room was bright and cheery with a large buffet plus hot dishes on the menu. Location is excellent with nearby shopping and transit, and the hotel is surrounded by pleasant cafes and shops. Staff at Raffles are outstanding and anticipate every requirement. If visiting Singapore for business or leisure, a stay at Raffles will be comfortable and satisfying.

Visit to the Long Bar for the inevitable Singapore Sling Cocktail. Bar opens at 11:00am and by midday queue for entry is very long so go early. Entry is controlled so never crowded inside and you are not rushed out. Staff very friendly and informative. Signature cocktail is expensive but it would be given its history and popularity. Plentiful supply of free peanuts that you shell yourself. Really enjoyed the experience so worth the one-off expense.

Our stay at this truly iconic global property was not disappointing. From check in to check out, service was impeccable. Never once felt like an inconvenience to staff, who were always eager to help with a smile and gratitude to serve. Vikram at the front door was especially amazing, recommending places to go each day. The rooms are spacious, impeccably kept, and full of amenities— They even brought my wife a legitimate transformer so she could use her American hair dryer. Daily breakfast was also perhaps the very best hotel breakfast I have ever had.
This is a legitimate five star property. Yes, it is significantly pricier than the other five star properties in Singapore, but worth every penny. It is a premium property well beyond the others.

My wife and I recently retuned from our third stay here for 2023. Wow, what a hotel!!
Everything about it is absolutely beautiful. I watched the BBC documentary about the extensive renovations the hotel did just prior to Covid and have been wanting to visit ever since.
Our first stay in May 2023 was in a Personality Suite (#254)
Stay number 2 in November 2023 was in a Stateroom Suite (#262)
Our 3rd stay in December 2023 was a Palm Court Suite (#116)
All the above suites were pretty much identical in size as far as I could tell, with very similar configurations.
Our preference was the Palm Court Suite as it was on the ground floor and let in lots of natural light from the beautiful grounds in front of it. The other two suites were darker. The Personality Suite had a nicer outlook than the Stateroom, and a better location within the hotel and we preferred the wooden floorboards along the shared terrace over the tiled ones of the others.
Service was impeccable at each of our stays.
The breakfast each morning was delicious.
And if you are lucky enough to stay during the month of December, the Christmas decorations in the lobby are exquisite.
Whilst not the cheapest of hotels, I can confidently say it's definitely worth every cent.

Dear dayspadanny Thank you for taking the time to rate us. We are delighted to know that once again, you had an exceptional stay with us. The layout of our suites are monumented and retained as how they have been designed since the early 19tth century which is why despite the different suite categories in which you have resided, the layouts are similar whereas the primary difference as you have corrected noted, lies in their location and proximity to our Main Building. Meanwhile, we look forward to welcoming you and your family back again for your forth stay with us very soon. Yours faithfully, Thomas Goval Hotel Manager Raffles Hotel Singapore

When I got an email from a travel agent saying that they could get a good deal on a short stay here my eyes popped open when I saw it was Raffles! I jumped on it as it worked out to be about $923/night which is about half it's usual minimum price. I was planning to go to Singapore and Thailand with my mum and had been wanting to stay here since I saw a tv documentary on its latest renovation.
We arrived by taxi and because it was raining the door person had an umbrella at the ready to welcome us. Of course their service was going to be superior and when the man said his welcome I told him that being able to stay here was something I'd been waiting a long time for.
I was just blown away by the "squillion" dollar chandelier in the entrance and from here it was just superior service all the way.
The room was beautifully appointed and had ipad-controlled lights, curtains and similar which I had a lot of fun playing with.
Once checked in we were appointed a butler who showed us everything in the room and probably a little about the services available.
It was handy to have a few shops available at ground level like a whisky merchant, a couple of jewellery stores and one that sold hats.
It is one of the remaining colonial style buildings in the city and so retains the beautiful timber detail and glowing white facade.
I loved that (the room) had two doors, the rear opening onto a balcony that looked out over the "other" street.
We were allowed a credit of about $50 which we both spent in the gift shop and of course on arrival had to have a Singapore Sling!
Nothing was too much trouble and what I was impressed with was that when you rang reception, they knew who you were and would answer along the lines of "thanks for calling Ms Smith, how can I help you today?"
The food and drink were all included (breakfast) and apart from porridge they had everything imaginable available from all cuisines globally as they have such an international clientele. I'm sure though if someone asked for porridge they could have obliged somehow!
The doormen there (usually if not always Sikhs) are happy to have their photo taken with you so we had to do that!
If you take a walk around the floors you can see photos of some of the famous people who've been guests which is interesting.
I can only thoroughly recommend a stay here if you have the cash. Well worth every cent.

The service and food at this hotel is excellent. When you walk in the front door they all seem to have been trained to know your name. Even walking to your room and running into a hotel employee that you’ve never met before they greet you by name. The room cleanliness is excellent and the little snacks they give you on arrival were delicious. If you use the dry cleaning your clothes are returned in this incredible leather embossed box the same day.
Unfortunately the Internet and Wifi were not good and continually dropped out. Other areas that I didn’t enjoy were the separation between the toilets and the lounges (you had to walk outside the hotel and back around the side) room acoustics were poorly designed so they were echoing and despite having a beautiful verdant courtyard you can’t see it from your room.

Dear William Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. As you may know, Raffles Hotel Singapore is a National Monument and a heritage building with some of our blocks having been built in the early 19th century. The layout of the property has been retained as governed and carefully restored so you are correct, that it may not be the most ideal for today's modern traveller like yourself, and we will have to apologise for this. Meanwhile, we do note that you have enjoyed the service delivered by the team and are glad that your dining experiences with us have been good. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us. Yours faithfully, Thomas Goval Hotel Manager Raffles Hotel Singapore

The Log Bar is a must to visit, Original Classical venue to have the international Singapore Sling, where you enjoy a first-class service and you get a basket full of Peanuts, tradition is; you should eat them and throw the shell at floor. Old décor and well kept. The hotel is a masing, with all the side entrances to rooms, large patios with some venues and well-kept gardens, A must!

Everything about the hotel was spectacularly well chosen, groomed, and made to feel like an oasis. From being picked up by the driver in the arrivals hall, to being greeted by the doorman and butler, I felt taken care of and relaxed. The service is top notch, from the well kept rooms and buildings, to the small details the staff offer you and deliver on. My butler was excellent at recommending me late opening restaurants for my dinner when I arrived later than expected, and took care of my needs including setting up the bath, and helping me sort out currency. Raffles definitely aims to pre-empt your needs, and it is spectacular! As a small side effect, sometimes they could do with a small ask. For instance, the welcome chocolates I received were so delicious, I was saving them for another day! But alas! They were taken away too soon to keep the place spotless. It is something I can't necessarily fault their intention on. Raffles also removes luggage tags, which in my opinion is more common and as expected of high end hotels. I suppose it is a personal preference of mine to keep my tag as a souvenir. Overall however, I cannot fault them for their conscientious service, and all is forgiven. I would definitely call Raffles a home away from home. All the staff I encountered knew my name and face, and was always willing to take the time to assist me, and guide me to where I needed to be,
Thank you for a lovely lovely stay! I will be back to experience the pleasures of your garden oasis again!

Yes you will get butler service. We had dinner (indian) in the Tiffin room which doubles for breakfast and really didn't seem that great but expensive. There are other restaurants even pricier in Raffles such as Mdme Le pic (3star) or the steak restaurant again expensive but likely much more well worth it.
Afternoon tea is good, don't worry about the writers bar (booking) as they don't seem to bother or with the recommended dress code
Teh long bar is a great experience but remember to use you raffles (room) card just walk passed the (hour long) queue and show it - you will get straight in.
Courtyard does good food and drinks as does the coffee shop adjacent to it
Remember this is Raffles - you will pay a premium but believe me it really is worth it
Despite being able to get 3/4 days at the Fairmont over the road for the price of one night I would still do Raffles - we're going back
There are more places to choose from in the Singapore area.
