The Furama RiverFront hotel is celebrated for its excellent location, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions, complemented by a variety of dining choices. While many guests appreciate the hotel's value and welcoming atmosphere, opinions on the rooms are mixed; some describe them as spacious and clean, whereas others regard them as dated and cramped. The staff's friendly service is often highlighted, although occasional disorganization has been noted.

I was able to take advantage of a very good offer; what was important to me was the cleanliness, the connection to the metro (Havelock station) and the pool, a private bathroom, a large bed, a window (!)... and all of that at a reasonable price - and that's what I found here. The room wasn't big, there was WiFi everywhere, I thought the room design with the bed in front of the window was very successful, you could really make it very comfortable. It was simply well constructed and you can really easily stay here for a week. The metro (the brown line) is directly connected to the beautiful Orchard Road (shopping and dining) and also directly to the Gardens by the Bay), from the Havelock station it's less than 5 minutes' walk to the hotel. Contrary to what the rooms suggest, this is a huge hotel with 2 large parts that are up to 19 floors high. The entrance hall is huge, and large events are often held here. There was a kettle in the room, you could get coffee powder and tea/sugar on every floor, there was a 7/11 shop at the entrance to the hotel and next to it a cheap Asian restaurant. I was very happy with mine, make sure you get a hotel with a pool, it really is very warm there. I can recommend the hawker center at the MAXWELL stop (Exit 2), it is well maintained and the food is really good and cheap. Otherwise I thought CHINA Town was great. Always take insect spray with you, a small towel, wet wipes and sunscreen. I am really glad I chose this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for over a week. The location is good being Robertson Quay, with restaurants and cafes located nearby, a good bus route and the Havelock MRT located within less than 5 minute walk. The lobby is very modern looking but lacks a reception desk, where guests are required to check in/out via self serve terminals. If you do require help, there are staff that can assist but unfortunately most of the staff do not come across as very helpful nor do they provide any information regarding Singapore, the services the hotel provides and the like. We were told that our room would be serviced every 3 days. We had a room on the 9th floor which was ok - the room looks outdated and it is not worth the nearly $400AU per night paid. This cost also included breakfast which is the same menu every morning. Basic continental, with Asian cuisine included. The best time to arrive for breakfast is before 8am when the rush hour starts. The housekeeping staff are very friendly (limited English speaking) and checked if we needed anything on most days. The bed sheets are changed every 3 days. There are self service amenities cupboard located in the lobby that provides towels, tissues, toilet paper, soap, toothbrush/paste and there are smaller cupboards located on each floor. The Waterfall Lounge is located at the back of the hotel, and in order to view the menu, you need to access it via the QR code located on each table. The food here is ok and the service is average. I did not eat at the Indonesian restaurant (which is where breakfast is served). There is a 7/11 located outside of the hotel and a wine bar but was closed till later this month. The baggage handlers who greet you on arrival are very friendly, and will order taxis for you if required. Overall my stay was ok, but I would look to staying at another hotel on my next visit to Singapore.

After reading some of the reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially given that it was so much cheaper than a lot of places. However we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. Check in was so easy thanks to Milla helping us out. There was always someone around reception anytime we walked through. We stayed in an Executive Suite Family Room and it was exactly as the 360degree photos had shown. Not a new room but very clean, very quiet and very spacious. Bed is firm but not too hard. Kids’ beds were also very comfy. Only 1 bathroom if that’s important but it was fine for us. We were told housekeeping would happen every 3 days although we were welcome to ask for top ups of anything in between. We were pleasantly surprised when our room was actually cleaned every day. There was plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet, and executive suite gave us access to the quieter part of the dining room. Evening drinks (beer, wine, spirits, soft drink and finger food) were also included - definitely worth it. Location is about 5 minute walk to Havelock MRT and similar to the river, so very convenient, although this is a slightly quieter part of the city so not as many restaurants or shops within close distance compared to somewhere like Orchard Rd. Overall this hotel is a solid 4star hotel, very clean, quiet and convenient with no complaints from us. Our room wasn’t as new as some other hotels but we definitely had none of the issues mentioned in some other reviews. I would highly recommend the executive rooms as the little extras were worth it, especially compared to prices of some other hotels. We will definitely stay here again.

On arrival the hotel looked fine and check in was ok. We had booked in for 2 nights, 3 days before a cruise. The room was ok but certainly not worth the star rating. On the 2nd day we were going out all day and put our "Please Clean" room card on the outside door handle. When we got back later that evening the room hadn't been cleaned, the coffee/tea/milk hadn't been replenished, and the dirty used towels were still in the bath. I went down to reception to ask why the room hadn't been cleaned but they had no interest at all. I asked for more coffee and milk, and said we needed clean towels. I was told we could request clean towels from housekeeping after 3 days. I said this was ridiculous but was again dismissed. This hotel is in Singapore which prides itself on being one of the cleanest countries in the world so why would this hotel expect clean towels only to be put in your room after using them for 3 days. Disgusting!!! Breakfast was also a joke with far too many people for the space available and cold overcooked eggs sat on the side all morning. Some of our family had also had extras charged to their room when they'd never purchased anything. These charges were eventually removed but check your bill when checking out. I'll definitely return to Singapore but not to this hotel.

From the moment we walked into the hotel to the moment we left this hotel made you feel as though you were at home. We were checked in by Suba who did a great job of telling us all about the hotel, what our particular package included and how to get to our room. Our accommodation was cleaned daily by Mary Chen and whenever she saw us in the hall way she always had a smile and a hello for us. What really made it for was was our treatment by an Ambassador called Iskander who took care of us each evening between the hours of 6pm and 8pm and sometimes later when we attended the daily snacks and drinks get together. He made us feel welcome from the word go, never intrusive but always helpful and entertaining us with his stories about family, life and Singapore. The hotel really made a great decision in employing him in an ambassador type role, I cannot speak highly enough of him. Also a mention for Kelvin and Virginia who worked behind the bar tirelessly and always had a smile for us, whilst going about their duties. The hotel was very busy with a couple of wedding events going for a couple of the days we were there. It has plenty of facilities and we made good use of the pool and it's cold water spa area, though it can be busy, when you will struggle to find a sun lounger and have to leave your towel and belongings on the floor area by the pool. Breakfast was ok, though my wife and son were happier with the selection than I was. The room we had was split into two rooms, one was a business type work room and my young son chose to sleep on the couch in there with housekeeping quickly supplying him with the blankets required. The main bedroom was very comfy, with plenty of drawer/cupboard space and both rooms had large TVs. The choice of channels was not great, but hey you don't go on holiday to watch TV do you!! Part of the hotel complex also included gym and a kids space area called Waka Waka., The kids space area has to be booked via the internet and at SGD 32 was pricy for us as it was our last day and there were no concessions for a single visit. The actual ticket is valid for 6 visits. You can book a stay at the hotel that is inclusive of a discount price for Waka Waka, but you will have to check it out yourself when booking a room. The reception staff of up to 5 are based at FOH as you come into the hotel at individual stations rather than behind a desk. They are all extremely friendly and capable and anything you wanted to know about the hotel or tourist attractions in Singapore they were happy to help you. It is different to a standard hotel of the same class and much of what makes it different is the excellent staff throughout the hotel. Furama should be really pleased with their staff and the positive effect they had on our family.
My son said he definitely wants to come back to Singapore as the hotel made it so good for him.

The hotel is in a great position close to the river and lots of restaurants bars etc - lovely walk down to the Merlion from the hotel. HOWEVER, in the room was the usual we change your sheets etc every 3 days to save the planet etc - What this actually meant was that your room would not even receive a visit from housekeeping for 3 days this included not emptying bins, cleaning the toilet/bathroom, moving damp towels - NOTHING - as the rooms are very well air conditioned with sealed windows, the chance of a damp towel drying is is zero. After one night the bathroom and room were disgusting and smelly. Needless to say the damp towels (of which there were many as we had to use them to clean the sink and flat surfaces) went onto the corridor and we had a meeting with the Duty Manager - a very nice young man who explained about the effect of detergent on the planet................thanks for that but we want a clean room (although we would have been happy to have the sheets changed every 3 nights as this can now be the norm in a 4*) ~We did make the point that we had booked a 4*hotel NOT A HOSTEL and he immediately agreed to have our room cleaned every day - we were there for 6 nights. The stay was just about OK (due mainly to the location) although the window blinds and glass panes were long overdue a good spruce up , the shower was over the bath so not for us at all. The hotel is very well used so perhaps some people are happy to have a dirty room and clamber into the bath to have a shower (water temperature and pressure great) The staff were all very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay and breakfast was lovely.
If you can cope with no housekeeping then go for it otherwise think twice
this was our 5/6 trip to Singapore and it is tremendous just make sure you you have a good hotel to stay in so you can enjoy it properly.

Much better than expected, I think previous reviews are quite harsh. After reading lots of other reviews I didn’t have high hopes for our stay here but we were very pleasantly surprised. We were due to land at 7.30am and our room wouldn’t be available until 2pm (standard) however, after emailing the hotel to advise them of this, when we arrived at 9am we were told our room was ready and went straight in. Although they had the self checkin counters there was always a couple of staff around who were always happy to help so we didn’t need to use the self check in/out machines. The hotel was clean and well presented. We had a family room with two large double beds which was perfectly fine for 2 adults and two children (14 & 11). The bathroom was a little tired and would benefit a spruce up but it was fit for purpose which plenty of hot water. The pool area was a godsend in the 36° heat and there was plenty of shade. The pool is open until 10pm so a late night swim is a must. The hotel is a little further out than we would have liked however the hotel staff were happy to organise taxis and it is a lovely walk down the river with plenty of nice eateries along the way. Hotels in Singapore are pricy especially ones with pools so I would say for the money and location this hotel offered us exactly what we wanted. We didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food but there is a 7Eleven next door, a Starbucks machine in the main lobby and there a filtered water refill stations on every floor (so remember your water bottle!)

Hi, 923lyndseyb! Warmest greetings from Furama Singapore! Thank you for your feedback! We are thrilled to hear that you had an excellent stay with us. We appreciate your recognition on how we uphold best practices in terms of room order and hygiene. I am happy to share that our hotels are awarded the BCA Green Mark Platinum award which is Singapore’s highest green rating for environmentally friendly and sustainable buildings, and we can only do so if we have the cooperation of our guests. Did you know a typical room clean uses 35 litres of water, 100 millilitres of chemicals and 1.5 kilowatts hours of electricity together with laundry which consumes huge amounts of water, energy and chemicals, accounting for one-third of greenhouse emissions of a room clean. Please rest assured that your feedback has been documented properly and this will be used as our fuel to exceed our guests’ expectations even more. Thank you once again for your feedback and we do hope to see you again at Furama in the future. Warm regards, Mae Tan Guest Engagement Manager

This is primarily a budget hotel catering to students community, please don't get mistaken that it's a 4 star family oriented hotel.
For families, do not book the triple sharing studio room with 1 queen and 1 single bed. These rooms are really tiny, cannot even be called as small. The washrooms is a glass cubicle with curtains around for privacy! Wash basin is in the bedroom. No storage to keep any suitcase at all.
The superior rooms are better in a different wing.
Restaurant has buffet breakfast included usually. Its almost exactly the same options daily with maybe 1-2 dishes changed. For Indian palate, found it really bland and limited option. Daily idly and saltless dal instead of sambar was there.
Overall staff is friendly but at the Indonesian restaurant at level 3, the guy who prepares the eggs, definitely caters to Europeans and Chinese people first over Indians irrespective of who's standing first in queue, is a bit hostile also... Whiff of racism can definitely be experienced. We were there for 6 days so no, it's not a one time off episode, saw it daily.
All other staff were very friendly though.
In room dining available round the clock but limited options again. Room cleaning is only once in 3 days, so definitely not what's expected at a 4 star.
Waterfall restaurant in lobby is again with a very limited menu.
One evening a students group was checking in so had 100 folks queueing up in lobby to board the lifts. Painful!
Wifi is fine. Has a 7-11 attached to hotel for immediate needs. Location is okay, need taxis to go most places. Only Riverside Quay is walkable.

Went for a 2D1N stay at Furama Riverfront in October. Tried the self check-in at first but it didn't work hence went to the reception to check-in. The check-in process at the reception was quick considered how it seemed to be a busy weekend. We were ungraded to a suite from deluxe, which was great generally, but wished the staff could have also informed us that it was a joint bed and the bathroom walls are not concrete and just glass panels with a screen. It was quite shocking when we entered the room to realise how little coverage the screens and partially frosted panels provide. It would have been a great upgrade but hoped the staff asked us if we were comfortable with the arrangement.
The room was spacious with tall ceiling, the view at night was pretty great too. It's comfortable and the toiletries provided are sufficient. Toiletries are self-replenished at the reception area. There's also a water dispenser at every storey.
There's a small gym and pool on level 5. The gym requires room card to access but sometimes the card doesn't work although it was not a big deal.
The complimentary breakfast was average at best. It was a small buffet service, has 1 live station (omelette) but the rest were very average food (bread/pastries, sausage/hashbrowns, limited Indian cuisine, limited Chinese cuisine, a salad bar (no olive oil and balsamic vinegar), fruit bar, cereals). Stayed for 1 night so not sure if the menu changes.
Came for a short staycation to celebrate birthday, really appreciate it when the hotel did respond to my last minute request and brought a small gift to our room for the birthday kid the next day. Shout out to Lisa for arranging this!
Overall, this was a good stay for short trips. There's no shortage of food options around and it convenient by bus/train. The room was sufficiently comfortable and there was sufficient facilities/amenities available. Will rate this a 3.8~4 out of 5.

We're currently sitting in the lobby of this hotel, having checked out, waiting for our transfer to the cruise terminal. We spent 2 nights here as part of the holiday package. We nearly changed hotels when we saw some of the poor reviews but decided to stay due to its location, a decision we regretted when we saw the "studio" room, more like a cell, with a built in box bed right against the window that you could only access from one side and had to climb up to. Luckily, we managed to upgrade to the last remaining "superior" room, a twin, well worth the extra £45 total. The room was clean and spacious with two comfy beds, plenty of storage space and a bathroom with shower over bath. Just what we needed after exhausting overnight long haul then a day of sightseeing in the heat.
We didn't have a problem having to get water from the stations, most hotels and cruise ships do this these days. However, they could provide better recepticles in the room. Water is drinkable from the taps, pity you could only get hot water out of the cold water tap in the sink!
Only cleaning the room every 3 nights is downright stingy, a strange decision that doesn't really befit a hotel that's supposed to merit 4 stars.
We didn't eat here or use any facilities though I'd have used the pool had we had time.
I'd stay here again for the room, location and friendly staff.

Definitely taxi, especially if it is for four people. Quickest and easiest. There is a train station a few minutes walk from the hotel but with bags etc, we opted for the taxi. It was about 37 Singapore dollars I think. Worth it I thought. Plus we got a lot of good advice from the taxi driver.
There are more places to choose from in the Singapore area.
