Detailed Reviews
We were given a room with 2 beds and it was better since we can put our things on the smaller bed. The room was spacious and complete with amenities. The only downsides were: Noisy (doors banging from other visitors), cleaning staff trying to open your room several times during the stay (we were always shocked that our door is being opened) and the water in the shower is a bit slow to heat up.

Very good value for money. The hotel is slightly far from the main tourist attractions but in a very nice neighbourhood with restaurants, shops and anything you might need. The rooms are of decent size (for Hong kong) and full of light plus they offer a good range of complimentary bath products and drinks that make the stay pleasant and provide a service above the price you are paying. Staff is also quite helpful.
A short taxi ride will take you to the more touristy areas.

I mainly read negative reviews about Bridal Tea House, most concerning rooms size.
Well, any hotel (or apartment for that matter) in Hong Kong does have size problems. The bigger you want the more you pay.
If you keep this in mind, the hotel is actually not half as bad as people say. My room (1002) was clean and neat. Mirrors help give you a feel the room is bigger than it actually is. Also there is free wi-fi, something bigger hotels don't have. And at a 10min walking distance from Hung Hom station.
If I have to point out a flaw, that would be the staff not being the most friendliest (or happiest) you can meet, but, after all, I've never met friendly staff in Hong Kong.

our stay at the Bridal Tea House is very unpleasant. The room was very small and untidy, smelly, dusty and appears as though the cleaner hasn't been there for months. There were barely enough room to walk around let alone any room for our luggage. The bathroom was very small and there were not enough lighting. we were required to shower in relative darkness as there was only 1 light. The beds were very uncomfortable and mattress was forever moving. the size of the mattress was less then a three quarter single bed. It was the most uncomfortable place we have ever stayed at. The reception area was very small and smells of sewerage. We definitely would NOT stay at this hotel again let alone recommend it to anyone.

The location is not that bad as you can easily get here by taking airport bus A21 or A22. Check in and Check out was very smooth thanks to friendly receptionist with very fluent English. Housekeeping staff were also very friendly. The room is clean and wifi works really well in the room (free), unlike the other Bridal Tea House hotel on Winslow street where I could see other people's hair on my bed and the wifi was not available in rooms (stayed in August 2013). The room is quite small like other typical budget hotels in Hong Kong, but is worth of money if you do not want to pay a lot for your accommodation.

We stayed in the hotel in May 2012. I found it not as bad as the reviews on here read. The room was not very small and it was clean, the beds were comfy and the toilet and the shower were clean. The staff were helpful though they do not know much English. The location is good, just a few minutes walk to the Hung Hom MRT and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. So we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend the hotel for budget travellers.

The worst hotel have come across. Very arrogant and worst staff at night shift during my stay... Very very small rooms... worst room services... the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in my life... Air Conditioner temp is controlled from the reception itself.. Worst room services.....

Bridal Tea House Hotel - Gillies Avenue South is a budget hotel that is suitable for a short stay, like a business trip. The location of the hotel is somewhat convenient, which takes you 5-10 minutes to walk from Whampoa or Ho Man Tin MTR Station. You can also take off at Hung Hom Station. Regarding the hotel room, you can expect it is not spacious but still can comfort you. We booked two double twin bed rooms and got a free upgrade to two family rooms. Overall the stay experience is fine. Regarding breakfast, we do not suggest taking the breakfast provided by hotel. For your information, if you wanted to include breakfast in your booking, it takes you HK$30 but what you have is only a break and a cup of coffee. There are quite some restaurants nearby and those have breakfast available and not expensive. Regarding the price, we booked through Hotels.com and got 10% discount plus 5% mobile discount. So finally we got a very low price to book the two rooms. Probably you can search over the internet (different hotel sites) before booking this hotel. At the end of the day, I would rate 3 out of 5 for the reason that everything is just fine.

Ok, so I travelled for a short business trip to HK. Didn’t want to spend too much on an overnight stay when I just needed to a bed to sleep in.
This hotel looked ok. Hotel upgraded me on arrival (I was in a suit so guess they knew I’d need something a little nicer and, on reflecting the one star is a note that it was appreciated)
But, and this is important for everyone regardless of your reason to travel:
- The location is on a BUSY roadway.
- The traffic noise doesn’t die until 2am, seriously!
- The building site next door start work promptly at 8am, and I mean you can set your clock to the site teams eager start to their day
- The interior decor, wall and bed coverings was new 50 years ago!
- the linoleum floor covering in the exec suite is... well, what can I say
- the walls are paper thin so, when your neighbour turn all 6 lights out in the adjacent suite, you jump from sleep, all 6 times!
Lovely people.
Didn’t dine here so maybe, that’s a nice experience. Maybe, I expected too much.
Just passing it on

we got an amazing deal on this property that it was too good to pass. space is at a premium in hong kong, so yes, the room is,on the small side. if you want an american style hotel room, then stay in one and pay the high price and dont complain!! the room is actually not that small but rather badly designed with wasted space. the bathroom isnt that small and has a reasonable size shower. there is a good assortment of toiletries and in the shower there are already bottles of shower gel and shampoo affixed to the wall. there is a kettle and tea bags together with bottled water. breakfast was adequate but i can see why it would get boring having no choice. sausages, hham, boiled egg. perfectly acceptable for one nights stay. coffee was a bit stewed. above average size of glasses for orange juice. the quality of the free wifi was very good, and it was available in our room. it was such good value for money we will be back again very soon, i am sure.

Hi there, they have a luggage storage room - I am sure they would. They lock the luggage in the room and give you a tag. Send them a message and ask them.
