All I can say is that its in the heart of the city, the hotel main enterance might not be eye catching but inside it is good enough for family to spend a night. its just a couple of stop by subway to the busiest night market( Mongkok )

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was quite easy to find and is centrally located. Check in was very quick and efficient and they allowed us to check in earlier than specified check in time. We booked a family room and my requests to have a room on the 12th floor and with a double bed and a bunk bed were both granted. Room is quite small but fairly clean. Breakfast was ok and quite filling. Check out was also fast. The hotel is highly recommended.

Nicely located in Jordan MTR, BUT the building is full of Karaoke Club. I can't sleep until about 1am and they still singing until morning. Easy access to shopping area and food. Quite difficult to find. If your flight is after the check out time, you have to pay for every 2 luggage that you put in the receptionist.

Response from HotelPandora, Manager at Hotel Pandora
Responded 2 Jul 2014
Thank you for your comments. Our hotel provides complimentary ear plugs for travelers who are very sensitive to noises. We do charge 2.5 (USD) for leaving luggages after guests' check-out, since we are a small hotel do not have much spaces for loads of luggages. Free storage of luggages for guests who checked in earlier then then our standard check-in time.

Worst service and attitude I have ever experienced. We won't recommend this place to our worst enemy!
For those who don't want to read the whole story: We booked this place for 1 month, but left after 7 days even when we did not get any refund! We would rather loose that money than stay there any longer!
The receptionists are unprofessional and the manager had an arrogant attitude. We booked one of the bigger rooms and requested a specific floor. They confirmed that, but when we checked in that room was not available. They did not even apologise, only told us we have another room! In the similar room we got, there was a curtain missing. We informed them immediately, they said they will send someone to fix it the next morning, but eventually had to wait 3 days till they hang the curtains. This was very inconvenient when changing clothes and there was a lot of light when we tried to sleep.
When we discovered mould on a certain spot on the wall, we informed them and we requested a room change, since mould could affect ones health when inhaled. They did not have a similar room, only bigger or smaller rooms. And if we wanted to switch to a bigger room, we had to pay the difference! What kind of service is that?! The manager could not understand that if their room had a problem, that they have to solve it and offer a solution. In stead she asks the guest to pay extra! But if we change to a smaller room or wanted to check out, we would NOT get a refund. I was really shocked!
Aside from the awful service, the rooms were small and the isolation really bad. I could hear the people in the next room talk, laugh, cough, sneeze and even spit. Whenever someone on the same floor closed their room door all the walls would shake.
The house keeping was not really thorough. Cleaning was done poorly. Often I would find hairs left on the bathroom floor. I even saw the shoe print on our bath mat. I don't mind that they did not change the mat, but at least don't step on it with you dirty shoes!
Location was very central and convenient, but I would say that's the only advantage of this hotel. You have to share the elevator with the many night clubs and karaoke bars in the lower floors. Just taking the elevator with the bad smell for a minute and you have the smell all over you. Security level is low. The elevators and all floors are free to enter.
Luckily the interior was all new. But low quality furniture and stuff. So I could imagine the place wearing off very quickly. I think within 1 year it will be even worse due to their bad maintenance.
I hope the management won't reply with one of their standard replies that they just opened for a short period and use that as an excuse. I really don't believe that that justifies how they treat their guests and I don't expect them to improve even if they operate for a longer period.
Conclusion: DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Stayed for 7 nights - 15 Jan 2014 to 22 Jan 2014
Was given the wrong room (much smaller) on the first night, we only realized the error on the second day, to which the staff promptly changed it for us.
When we arrived at the correct room, hotel staff confirmed that the room has been clean. At first glance, the room is new and clean. Closer look, we found hair and short copper wires on the bed. Stains on the sheets, and dusty bedsheets. Counter tops is full of dust as well. We found the room very much falsely advertised. No proper wardrobe as shown in hotel pictures, decor is completely different. Even the TV is in an awkward position. The bedsheets were NEVER CHANGED throughout the 7 nights. Just cleaned. Notwithstanding, bed is comfortable.
Cement stains were all over the bathroom floor. We found used toothpaste and rubbish. As we were heading out, we requested for housekeeping thrice, but the rubbish were still there when we got back at night, we had to clean it ourselves. Even bathroom was nowhere near to as advertised by hotel on airbnb. No mirror in front of sink, ZERO ergonomics sense sink design. Water ran close to the edge of the sink, get everywhere wet.
Next, the most unbearable part. There was no constant hot water for shower, or rather, no constant flow of water. It was practically a battle of wits with the tap, anticipating and avoiding the sudden freezing water. Flow of water: hot -> burning hot (normal water pressure) -> water pressure drops -> freezing cold water -> turned tap further towards hot water side -> NO WATER (for abt 4-5 secs) -> finally burning hot water and water pressure resumes. Cycle repeats itself every 2 mins. A quick shower took more than 30mins. Absolute torture, especially when it was 11-14 degrees outside. Feedback to the hotel on the second day, promised something will be done. Empty promises.
Only good thing about Hotel Pandora, the location. Very convenient, 2 mins walk to Jordan station. However, it's an old building with very slow and cranky lifts.
Conclusion: Never settle for this hotel, despite its very attractive cheap price. The stay was far from satisfaction, Deluxe Room is nothing like the pictures advertised by hotel. Absence of basic comfort like hot water fit for showering and usable sink. Overall, did not get what we paid for, huge disappointment.

This was a terrible experience. We booked this place because it looked good in the photos but the actual stay was extremely uncomfortable.
Firstly, the rooms were falsely advertised. Please note that they advertise the "Family Room" using photos of the "Pandora Suite". We opened the door to our room to realise that it was much more cramped and worn down than in the photos. There were pieces of wood veneer on the ceiling and walls, no windows and curtain as advertised, smaller beds, and no space at the end of the beds.
Next, the staff were extremely impolite and insincere. Upon discovering that our room was far below expectations, we approached the staff who treated our complaints very flippantly. We demanded for the room that was advertised in the photo but they told us that we had to top up to "upgrade". We refused to relent and they decided to give us another room of the same layout but on the floor below that did not have the wood veneers on the walls and ceiling. We heard of the noise from the KTV downstairs but they claimed that it would not be noisy, only "crowded". We compromised and accepted the room.
I can look past the false advertising, the cramped room, and the terrible attitude of the staff. But what riled me up the most was that there would be the wafts of cigarette smoke that entered the room. Although we covered up the air vent, there was still nights where our room smelt like second-hand smoke. Probably due to mainland China tourists smoking outside our room. The other guests in this hotel are mostly mainland China tourists and they are one of those things that I would rather stay away from. Extremely ill-mannered, in the early morning, there were other guests talking loudly outside our door and randomly slamming into our door, waking up much much earlier than we preferred. The walls of the rooms are also very thin and if we weren't woken up by the noisy chattering of other guests, then our sleep would be interrupted by off-key singing from the KTV (even at 3am) or some sort of construction work going on somewhere.
In short, if you don't want to submerge yourself in second-hand smoke all the time, and be at the mercy of mainland China tourists, STAY AWAY. There are better places you can book at the same place. This place is simply not worth it. Practice self-love and DO NOT STAY HERE.

Upon check-in at 2pm on 10th May 2016, the rude fat guy told us check in is at 2.30pm. We asked where can we store our luggage? He replied cant you read the sign? Did not even want to see our booking and kept looking at the computer, doing his work. We payed HKD$20 to keep our luggage for 30minutes. He didnt even say thank you when we paid and kept showing us his angry face, i dont know what has made him pissed off at us SERIOUSLY!. Upon check out didnt even say thank you and kept looking at the computer again. If that was my staff i will not hesitate to fire him with this kind of attitude. Dear owner/General Manager FIRE HIM I BEG YOU if you want to keep the hotel business going.
Room - the smallest room i have ever stayed in and they were black molds on the ceilings. Very very very DIRTY i tell you. Trust me i know when it is just OKAY to stay in this hotel. Cant even move around the room, i had to put my bags on the bed during my sleep, NO JOKE.
Toilet - very SMALL to even shower inside, if you dont close the curtain shower the water will LEAK until the bedroom.
Summary is DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. I will never come back to this hotel ever.

This is not a hotel. It is a few rooms at the top of a shabby building. These rooms come with running water, air conditioner and bed. If that is all you are looking for then go ahead. The bed is like a rock. The 'running water' goes from no pressure to boiling hot pressure in waves. The air con is so cold you could freeze chicken.
There is a night club and Karaoke bar right under the rooms on leval 9. It got louder and louder and by 3:30am we had enough. Went to reception (24 hour supposedly) to ask when it would finish and no one there. Went back 20 minutes later and reception man was standing behind counter talking to a prostitute.
After asking when the music would end he told me may be after 4am. He then made a joke and told me I should consider wearing ear plugs. At nearly 4am I didn't find this funny at all. He hesitantly changed our room to the top floor (same room just higher). He would not give us a key for that until we gave the old key back. This man was very unfriendly and super unprofessional and should not be working here.
The rooms. Shabby dirty, messy and tiny tiny tiny. You cannot fit 2 people in them. Let alone your suitcases. The bathroom had damp smell in both rooms, and the towels and other linen were covered in long black hairs from previous residents. In our second room, the carpet was coming off the floor to reveal nails poking up so you had to be careful where you walked. You would not walk on the carpet in both rooms. The smoke detector on the ceiling was covered in a plastic wrapping, obviously because people had been smoking in the room previously. Very dangerous if there was a fire.
The curtain had snot and other bodily fluids which were very obvious and stood out amongst the color of the curtains. You could actually see a lump of snot wiped down the curtain which is next to the bed.
The breakfast. Oh dear. It's not breakfast. At all. I don't know what you would call it. If you do stay here for some reason, DO NOT pay for the breakfast. It was a cup of noodles and a spam sandwich. It is NOT breakfast.
The reception area is surrounded by boxes of rubbish and other things that in an evacuation would completely block the exits. The staff never seemed to be able to do anything right and when I asked for a map of Hong Kong they couldn't even provide that.
It seemed the rest of the residents were local people who lived in Hong Kong.
Most people smoked in the building so please don't think that your room will smell nice. The smell of cigarettes is so strong throughout the 9th leval especially that it made me cough a lot all night and whenever we were in the room.
This place will also charge you for everything from lost keys to hotel in-room amenities and will take 500 dollars deposit from you when you check in. They just don't care about tourists here. You are not welcome unless you are a local or from China.
Let me just sum this up with a thought for you to think about before you are still deciding to book this hotel. Imagine late at night you hear a cat screeching. Now imagine several cats screeching at once, but it's over a microphone. Now imagine laying your head down next to that microphone and trying to sleep. Enjoy your stay

Floors 1-8 are karaoke/night clubs with special services, not where you go to have fun and enjoy the music. The night we arrive the elevator to the hotel floor was under maintenance (from the notice it seems the maintenance has been carried out for a month already) so we had to take the other elevators to go up the floor, and these elevator stops on all floors so we witness the night club business and its customers first hand. Let's just say, this place is not safe and secure for girls traveling along.
After arriving on the 9th floor at the hotel's front desk, we smell heavy smoke (probably through the common pipe line), and the hotel seems run down. The front desk had a notice saying prostitution, drugs, and gambling are prohibited at this location, which says something by itself. We booked for a deluxe twin beds room with WINDOWS, but the room we got had 2 bunk beds and dirty walls and ceiling with a window covered with bulkhead ads in the bathroom, we didn't bother to try to open it. The room is small, but we are used to small hotel rooms in Hong Kong, so it's not the main problem of this hotel. The a/c and ventilation shaft is so dirty, you can see a layer of dust on the openings. There's a monitor sized TV hanging on the wall, but the angle is awful, I don't know how you can watch the TV without standing.
Conclusion: We ran after seeing the room condition and stayed at a friend's place instead. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

For those short on time, I'll be brief - don't stay here. It is at best a hostel with private rooms - not a hotel with two stars.
For those with a bit more time, I'll go into a bit more detail.
The issues started before we arrived; aware that the hotel would be charging our card pre arrival, I tried to call the hotel ten times to update our details with no answer whatsoever. An email reply stated the credit card machine wasn't working and we would have to pay cash. A conversation with a regular Mainland Chinese guest revealed the credit card machine is almost always 'not working'. Several other guests were caught out, having to withdraw / exchange cash unexpectedly to pay their bill. A request for a receipt was refused, saying they don't issue them.
Lesson One: they only accept cash
The location is two minutes walk from the Jordan MTR station (take exit A). You enter a shared ground floor lobby with the flooring constructed of thin sheets of plywood mask-taped to the floor. There are three lifts, but hotel guests can only use the third one (important for later). The middle lift is guarded by a daunting Chinese woman. As there is only one lift serving the hotel, entering and exiting the hotel is time consuming. On day two the lift broke, and as guests are prevented from using lifts one and two, it was an exhausting trip up the stairs after spending 20 minutes calling the hotel with no answer. The lift came back into service on day three, but it wouldn't call to our floor; this meant walking up and down the stairs to the next floor - not so bad except on the day you want to leave as you need to lift heavy luggage down the stairs before you can access a lift.
Lesson Two: get fit and take the stairs, it's only 192 stairs to Reception - or 264 to your room if it's on the 12th floor.
We had a 'grand deluxe room' but the grand deluxe bit seems to have gone missing. Now we were aware that the Christmas / New Year is one of Hong Kongs many busy periods, so our expectations weren't high however the room failed to meet even these.
The room didn't match the website photos in any way, but on closer inspection, the website photos are really illustrations. Our room was a corner room, with scaffolding covering the windows so the view was non existent. Also one of the scaffold poles was positioned as to prevent the open window from closing (thankfully resolved on day two). The safe didn't work and when reported to Reception on the evening of arrival, the attendant told us to come back tomorrow as he doesn't deal with problems (apparently taking a note was beyond him). The furniture was badly scratched with pen grooves and cigarette burn marks, and refrigerator was decorative only eg the lights were on but it didn't actually keep anything cool. The mattress was an extremely firm memory foam that had been a plank of wood in a previous life. The shaggy rug covering 70% of the floor felt crusty underfoot even through our footwear.
The shower curtain was stiff with scum, and there was a strong mildew odour, explained by the large ring of mould not only around the sink basin but also inside the cabinet drawers which were warped and rotting. The shower was a 'double header' but the lower head was broken and hung loose unusable.
Lesson Three: fairytale illustrations are not only in picture books
A poster in the room kindly listed the replacement costs of any items missing from the room after departure, including a rather delusional 3,000HK for the aforementioned crusty blue rug. It also suggested that as a double room we should have received two bath towels, a hand towel and a bath mat. We didn't receive the correct number on any night of our stay, and drying yourself with either a bath mat or hand towel isn't pleasant or practical. The towels supplied were constantly spotted with what we hope are rust stains and were always frayed (and torn on two occasions). Complaints to Reception were met with blank stares, so we brought towels from the Temple Night Markets. Housekeeping's attitude towards towels extended to actual cleaning; on our second day, we used the saucers as we brought back two cakes with us, but they weren't cleaned over the next three days. Amazingly despite ignoring the dirty saucers and forgetting the towels, she did manage to find the housekeeping tips without any problem (which we stopped - after day four). The reason for the crusty rug became clear - no hover or vacuum, just a broom.
Lesson Four: some hotels have lower housekeeping and maintenance than a student share house
Finally we twice saw staff members strolling around the 9th floor openly smoking.
The only positive about this hotel is its location - two minutes from the MTR and four minutes from Temple Night Markets. There is a 24 hour supermarket called 'Wellcome' in the basement at the Ning Po street entrance to the hotel (cheaper than the Mag Store at the Nathan Rd entrance and wider selection).
Airport bus A22 around 60 mins $ 40
Dear Mr./Ms. Wong,
Thank you for your enquiry.
Sorry to inform you that we do not have airport pick up service provided.
However, please find the transportation information as below:
the quickest way from the airport to our serviced hotel would be taking airport express to Kowloon station (around hkd$90 per head, 25 mins) and change Taxi (around hkd$25-30) to our hotel (Buckingham building).
alternatively , the most economical way is to take shuttle bus A22 and get off at 4th stop, Chi Wo Street, Jordan Road (around hkd$40 per head, one hour)
From Exit A, Jordan station, turn left and take the first left (don't cross to the opposite side of nathan road!) , walk down one block and we are next to Luk Fok Jewelry, hotel located inside Buckingham Building 9th floor.
Should you have any further assistance, please feel free to contact us.
Best regards,
Hotel Pandora
