Hi for the shopping i can say it is better to have a HKD because some of the stores and resto charged intl cc fee... For the pocket wifi... you can get our to google easily... you can visit other sites... You can use whatsapp or line or wechat in HK

First of all, this is not Shamrock Hotel, but members of the TripAdvisor who respond here. If you want to get in touch with them directly then you can do so through their official website. In regards to your question, I am sure you will be able to leave your luggage one day before check-in but be aware that it will not be stored away, but in the reception area with a net over them and some sort of lock for protection - plus you get a receipt card which tells how much luggage you have left. Be sure you lock your suitcases well and have a clear name tag on them, and you should be fine. There is always a few guys at the door and people in the reception, who serves to help you out and protect your stuff. I have myself left my luggage there for a few hours when arriving very early in Hong Kong and I have some time before checking in, and it all went well.
